Orient Inn

Perfect little peaceful get away. Joan and her husband were extremely nice and welcoming. Such wonderful people. Extremely clean!

Our first visit here, and no doubt we will be back. Our hosts, Joan and Howard are truly wonderful people.
The rooms are large and bright, clean as a whistle, and all but one has a private bath. Water, glasses and everything else you need is supplied and refreshed daily. Beds were kings or queens and comfortable.
There is a large living room/​sitting room with comfy seating for days when the weather is not friendly, or you can grab your book (and a glass of wine) and head out to the garden, or rock in the chairs on the wide front porch.
Breakfast is all fresh and homemade — eggs, omelettes, bacon French toast, fruit, juice, coffee and more! Cookies are available all day.
All in all — it’s a wonderful spot with nice rooms and AMAZING breakfasts!

I came back yesterday from a weekend stay at The Orient Inn. I am always a bit wary when it comes to B&B’s, as I don’t love the kitsch style that usually comes along with staying at one, but on a recommendation to stay here from another Inn in the area I booked a room. Everything about the experience was truly perfect. The hosts are SO welcoming and the interiors are beautiful, clean and simple. I was so surprised to read another review remarking that the owner was grumpy and didn’t like children… there were [well behaved] children staying at the Inn while I was there and the Inn keeper was so warm to them and everyone else.
The hosts are attentive but I also felt like I had complete privacy wether I was in my room or relaxing on the big porch. I will definitely be going back and would highly recommend staying here if you’re looking to stay on the East end on LI.

On main road so noise. Great breakfast and fun owners. We liked their little dog. Clean and comfortable bed. Small bathroom with smallish stall shower that, while clean, seemed a bit worn. Like other properties out here, the price is a bit high for what it is.
