I really like that barracos is open late but on multiple occasions the lady bartender has not been very friendly. It could be her personality but either way it has not always been friendly or welcoming. I’ve noticed she is there often on week nights. The last time my friend was there she short changed him by $ 20. She did end up giving the money back to him. Either way, I don’t fully trust her because I’m not sure if it intentional or not. I think the late night bartender needs a little coaching. I have meant to call in the past but it was until my friend was short changed that I decided to write a review. The food has always been good except for the last time that I ordered stuffed shells. The shells were overlooked to the point of being crunchy.

Best part of this experience was our lovely server. She was attentive and helpful and her service was great. My party consisted of 4 ladies and 3 of the 4 were disappointed with flavor and portion. Two of us ordered grilled eggplant with a side of pasta. The eggplant portion was the tiniest I have ever seen anywhere and at $ 20.95 for lunch it was very disappointing. It truly was about 4 bites. The other lady had a very watery chicken dish. Two of us had eaten there before so we had high expectations but were let down. We did like our salads… very fresh and tasty. Next time we will stick with the pizza.

Food is somewhat decent. Garlic bread is laughable, prices always vary. Don’t expect anything special. Last 3 times I have ordered nothing has been right.

Way too much money for below average food. The service is lackluster. The atmosphere is nice, but that’s about it. The salad that came with the entrée was soaking wet and soggy. It didn’t seem totally fresh. The pasta I ordered for dinner was overcooked and almost slimy. Felt awful after eating even just about 15% of it. I couldn’t eat any more after that. Spending almost 30 dollars for something inedible makes me sad. I will never go back!

First let me rave about the fried zucchini… best I’ve ever had and I’ve had it from pretty much every restaurant I can order it from. Pizza was good, I prefer more sweetness in a sauce, but still liked it. Lots of toppings. Was delivered quickly. Decent prices.

In reading some of the other reviews of this restaurant, I could not agree more with most of those that are one or two stars. We can begin with the décor, very nice except for the lighting at night, you cannot read the menus. The bar is nice and we have ate in that area and had a wonderful bartender that took care of us and I had the beef sandwich, huge, enough for two people. The bread and the olive oil creation that consisted of oil, cheese and garlic was a delight, great idea for dipping the bread. One can go on to the pizza, no big deal, dinner specials are buy one get one free but the prices on the menu are high for a place like this. The biggest complaint that we had was the service. We sat and waited for at least 15 minutes before getting someone to get us our drink order. The iced tea was watered down and filled with too much ice. My husband took it back to the bar area and it was refreshed with new tea that had been brewed. NO, the server did not come back for another 15 minutes, we looked for him and could not see him any place in the restaurant. No he was not serving other tables either. In the kitchen??? perhaps chatting. Now, keep in mind we were there for one half hour before we ordered our pizza. Now the horror story, we waited, we waited, no pizza, 15, 20, 30 minutes after we finished the watered down soup. We asked another server to get our guy and he came to the table and we told him, how long we had been waiting, 30 minutes and no pizza. As we see this whole thing panning out we feel that he placed our order but as it got busy, someone else took our pizza to another table, meaning that they had to make another one. If you are in a hurry for a meal, do not go to Barraco’s. The same day that we were there, there was a party table at the bar area, could it be that he was paying more attention to that group? no clue but we will not be back in the future. This is not fine dining so why the hefty prices for the meals?

I went to Barraco’s for a private family dinner. The family style menu was good, and the wait staff was polite and attentive.

We order out a lot from baraccos in Orland Park. We are big fans of the Chicken Tetrazzini, Homemade lasagna, linguini with white clam sauce, broiled calamari, Daniella, burgers, salads, chicken sandwich and burgers.

Nice restaurant in a strip mall with modern décor, granite tables tops and a bar with quite a few tvs. Food was good but somewhat bland. Standard classic itallian. Good location. Large selection of beers in bottle and on tap.

Came here in the 4th of July, the bread was very hard and the fried calamari wasn’t very good. I wouldn’t call this place fine dining.

Let me start of by saying that I’m originally from Oak Lawn and have spent my entire life going to the Barrocos in Evergreen Park and that it’s one of my favorite pizza places. So last night, I decided to order mac & cheese bites, bosco sticks, and a medium pizza(bacon and giardiniera all over, half pineapple, and opposite half pepperoni) for delivery. Let’s start with the delivery. The delivery driver shows up and states that he had driven all over and it took him 15 minutes to find the townhouse. I would assume the driver should have access to a map app of some sort. He hands me a bag and credit slip to sign. I say to him that«the bag is kind of small, how is there a pizza in here?» He responds with«you’re supposed to have a pizza?!» HEFORGOTTOBRINGTHEPIZZA!!! The pizza is the most important part of this order and he forgot it. Wow. So he goes back to pick up the pizza. While waiting for the pizza, we start eating the mac & cheese bites and bosco sticks. The mac & cheese bites are really good. Would definitely get those again. Same for the bosco sticks. So appetizer seem to be good to go. He comes back with the pizza. I open it, it has pineapple over the entire pizza! Specifically asked for half pineapple and opposite half pepperoni, this is obviously hard to accomplish. Also, where was the pepperoni? I think there was 4 pieces on the pizza. Definitely not the way we ordered it. The pizza itself was good quality and tasted good, it just wasn’t the way we ordered it. The order slip stated it the proper way, which means the pizza maker just didn’t follow simple directions. I will go back to this location, however, I don’t think I will be ordering for delivery.

My husband and I came here this past Valentine’s day during lunch to avoid the crowd. There were only 3 other tables with diners in our area, so we thought it would be a fast and easy lunch. Wrong! I seriously think the waitress was on drugs, as she was extremely forgetful and out of if. It took about 15 minuets for her to come take our drink order. We put in an order for an appetizer right away. Shortly after, the bus boy brought out our bosco sticks appetizer. Everything was fine with that. We were done eating the app and wanted to order our pizza. The waitress was no where to be found. Literally about 20 minutes goes by, and the waitress finally comes and asks if we want our appetizer leftovers wrapped. I said yes, and asked if we can order a just cheese heart shaped pizza. She looked at me extremely confused and said«didn’t I already take your order?» Um no– you didn’t lady! She never even apologized and just says she will wrap the appetizer and put in the order. 5 minutes later she comes and says«you ordered sausage, right?» No! Just cheese. We then see her go check on a table nearby and she set down a carryout box on an empty table near them, and left it there after she walked off. I realized it was our leftover breadsticks that she forgot to give to us. I had to walk over and pick them up myself. We finally received our pizza and she never bothered to refill out drinks. The pizza was mediocre at best and the overall experience was terrible. Its not like it was busy in there, so there were no excuses for this terrible service.

A few weeks back I was having a serious craving for some Italian and we ended up at Barraco’s. We started off with some grilled calamari which came out better than I expected. The calamari seemed fresh and had the right consistency(not chewy). For dinner I ordered the stuffed shells and they were delicious! The portion was huge and the filling and sauce were very well seasoned. I ended up having enough to take some home for the following day. If I find myself craving Italian pasta again, I’ll definitely keep Barraco’s on my short list of places to visit!

Ok pizza. A little bland for my taste. There’s better pizza options around. Also doesn’t help that pizza is a little pricier than most pizza deliveries.

This place was an awesome environment while Daniela was there, ever since her sister Franchesca took over the place has really gone down. I was going 2 – 3 times a week to hang at the bar, and while the bartenders are great and take excellent care of the customers, just seems like she could care less about the patrons. More concerned about cleaning and organizing during a busy Friday night then attending to the customers needs and wants. Hope that this changes as I enjoy coming but will be coming less because of the change in management and it’s for the worse

A couple of weeks ago I came here and I was immediately made to feel like a regular. Katie was the bartender on duty and she was very friendly and super sweet. I asked her about some shots and she told me about the Jameson special they had. Beautiful looking place I especially like the granite counter tops at the bar and the great beer and booze selection.

Took my daughter to a birthday party today. They had pizza from here. I know I was very hungry, but I found the pizza delicious. Had the thin crust only, but it was comparable to the best thin crust pizza I have had in the city like Italian Fiesta and Aurelios in the south suburbs.

Wow! I’m still getting shivers down my spine, thinking about the horrible experience we had at the Orland Park Barraco’s off Wolf Road in July ’14. I’m returning to this review that I had started after the meal in question and deleting the ‘rant’ parts… Which doesn’t give me much left to talk about. In the seating area behind the bar the tables are lit by strings of mini-lights about 8 ft. overhead but the booths have a suspended can light over them. The menu is unreadable at tables. The minestrone was, when reverse-engineered, composed of weak bullion, cabbage, and random pieces of onion and corn kernels. Our order of Chicken Tetrazzini was prepared with Red Sauce, not Cream. The manager on duty was not friendly or interested in our satisfaction if it would require her to change anything that had been entered in the store’s computer. I can forgive kitchen mistakes and give an off night the benefit of another try. I will not give any more business to a place whose management makes the customers feel as bad as I did after leaving that night. PS — Our server did a good job, I felt sorry for the staff

Two stars and lucky that it was that. Only good thing about this place was our waitress Kathy and our drinks. Maybe that’s a little harsh but with the quality of this«restaurant» I like to think I am being quite nice. Now I don’t like to take my time and write reviews especially to be that person to bash a business but I just couldn’t help myself this time. Started with calamari and it was chewy cold and fishy! I love calamari and I don’t think you can go wrong but this tasted a bit old and not fresh and very disappointing with the price that it was at. Entrees included chicken vesuvio and strip steak. Let’s start with the chicken. I am not sure what came out but it wasn’t what I ordered. This is why places like this give authentic Italian restaurants a bad name. If I know anything about cooking(and I cater) then I know that chicken vesuvio is made in a white wine, this had a very dark broth.salty. And bad mix of seasoning. And not only did it have a sauce but it was completely over taken in it that my potatoes that you could have mashed them. The skin had no more crispy texture and was soggy. It was awful! I took a bit and put it off to the side. The steak was ordered medium rare. It came out well done. My boyfriend at one point told me not to say anything and I wasn’t going to but sh***t when you’re about to spend an easy $ 100 at this kind of place you better believe I am going to say something. I had to especially when the steak was priced like it came off the menu at a steakhouse! Now what really ticked me off when our waitress said she didn’t think her manager would take it off!!! What! Now luckily me and boyfriend do okay enough to afford dinners but some couples work very hard to come to dinners such as this place and really get taken advantage of their low quality food and let’s not mention the price. Our waitress came by and said she took it off for us and she felt really bad but this wasn’t her fault she was super sweet! You would think the manager would have came by our table but she literally walked passed us twice and not till the end she tapped us on the shoulder and said sorry. Please don’t say sorry to us but the rest of your customers in there. Stick to pizza and maybe not even that
