ACE Rent a Car

This place is run horribly. I wish I had read the reviews first. Don’t use them. They don’t tell you their hours, they don’t tell you they are off site. Pick up from the airport took an hour. Bad customer service. Paid for toll fees but there were not any on the roads. Just a bad scam in Orlando. Don’t use them.

This company does not even deserve half a star. They are a very unprofessional company that lies to your face and tries to charge your for many things you had not agreed to. I waited almost an hour waiting for their shuttle at the airport before they arrived. In what world is it ok to give you a car that is only ¼ a tank full and then say that they will «only charge you $ 10 to top it off to ½ a tank»? I declined and filled it myself, only to have them try to charge me a refueling fee, even though I returned it with more gas than I picked it up with. They also charged me for insurance, even though I was very clear that I did not want to purchase it. I booked the rental on Priceline for a certain amount, only to find that when I picked up the vehicle, they charged me about $ 48 more. This is also, not to mention the fact that they charged me a deposit of $ 278, which I still have not seen back. I will NEVER rent from this company ever again and will ensure that everyone at my nationwide business never uses this company as well.

Don’t ever use this company. It’s not worth it! First of all we leave the place & happened to look at the gas tank & it showed empty! We went back & they said they don’t fill the tank & you can bring back empty. They never thought to mention this unusual policy!!! It’s a wonder we even noticed or we would have run out of gas soon! We had told them when we got our suv that we were renting it for 2 weeks & wanted 2 names on the car, but they only allowed 1 name or it’d be $ 200 more. So we told them we’d be back in a week & switch out names, as 1 party leaving & other taking over. He said that’d be fine & no charge. When we went back today, someone else was there & would NOT change it out unless we paid $ 80 to do so. We don’t enjoy being lied to and ripped off. We will NEVER use Ace again & cannot recommend to anyone else. One star is too high for this company. In fact if we didn’t keep one paper that said the gas tank was on empty, another paper they wrote on it that it was full when we went to change out drivers… Rediculous!

Just came here… the car I got was still dirty and had trash in it… on top of that, I had to walk out to the car in the back lot to find a dirty car and walk all the way back to complain. Everyone else got a car brought up to them. I declined all insurance and gas stuff. My credit card and insurance covers all the stuff they have. I would not recommend this, this an off airport rental that needs a shuttle to get to and from the airport. I’d rather pay a bit more for the car.

I guess I have nothing to say that hasn’t already been said. This company should close with how many complaints it’s had. They send you a confirmation email saying you drop off at the airport. Thankfully I called ahead of time and got the correct information that you have to drop off at the location and you will get a shuttle back to the airport. I asked them if they had a early shuttle cause my plane leaves at 7am. Customer service said, 5am is the first shuttle… Ok perfect! To good to be true.
Showed up at 4:40, place was pitch black. Nobody was even there. Cars were lined up waiting for them to open. Turns out all had there own horror story with the rental car place. Didn’t get to the airport until after 5:20am. Also got dropped off at the wrong part of the airport and had to run to the other side. Plane was boarding at 6:20. Needless to say, I almost missed my flight.
So my advice, read the reviews before trying to save a few bucks. Had to buy a toll service pass, didn’t have any issues with insurance, but did have a $ 200 deposit that still hasn’t came back on my card…

Hidden charges. Run. Use their quote to negotiate at the airport with the other more reputable rental companies.

I wish I didn’t have to give any stars because 1 is too many for this place!!! DO NOT RENT FROM THEM! Worst scam and customer service EVER! Rude and Condescending, then when I asked for Corporate to make a complaint, the manager threw the # at me and said call them if you want to. WTF?

Totally RIP OFF!!! We were promised to pay 146.00 plus deposit of 200.00 know what they did??? They took the 200 $ and lying about what we paid they put extra stuff that we didnt even asked… NEVER AGAIN!!!

Cuando regrese el carro no había nadie que lo recibiera para chequear que estuviera en buenas condiciones y con el tanque full de gas.
Espere aproximadamente mas de 10 mint, pregunte y ninguno de los chicos que estaban en el carwash me podían dar una respuesta solo que dejara el carro allí (cosa que no quería hacer sin que alguien chequeara)
Luego entre a las oficinas espere mas tiempo porque alguien me atendiera, no le importo ir a chequear el carro y nos cargos eran $ 42.77
Luego a mi regreso a California habían hecho cargos a mi tarjeta de crédito por mas dinero.
llame para que me los reembolsarán y no dijeron que no porque me había tardado 20 minutos para entregar el carro!!! le explique todo al chico por telefono le di e nombre de la se~orita que me atendio y el chico por teléfono dijo que no podia ayudarme que el no me iba a reembolsar nada!!! un servicio pésimo mal educado.
tienen que tener un personal para recibir los carros.
ASI QUE POR FAVOR ESTEN PENDIENTES DE ESTOS DETALLES SI NO QUIEREN QUE ESTOS LADRONES LE CARGUEN A SU TARJETA LUEGO.

Same as other reviewers. Wish my assistant had looked at Unilocal before booking.
Bus took forever to pick up from airport. I missed one also because it parked in the wrong bay at the airport.
Upon reaching the rental centre I was told that because my can is classed as ‘light commercial’ I couldn’t decline insurance. Total came to $ 2.5k instead of quoted $ 1.5k.
I was about 4^th in line and from getting my baggage to having car was over 2 hours. I feel sorry for the 50 people or so behind me.
The brochure I got with the return address on the outside cover had THE WRONG RETURN ADDRESS. Meaning I was 20 mins late searching for the new place.
Avoid this place at all costs.

My entire experience with this company was horrible from the beginning. Had to wait for 40 minutes at the airport for the shuttle to their location. Upon arriving at the rental car location I again had to wait… for an hour before being helped… there were only two people ahead of me in line. Then, the gentleman behind the counter clearly did not know what he was doing or know how to explain the charges on my bill. He stated that upon returning the vehicle I could talk to another representative that would know more about the questions I was asking. Returned the vehicle today and was told that the issues I had needed to be taken care of when I picked up the vehicle, not when dropping it off. So, needless to say but I am paying almost twice what I had initially agreed to pay… I will never use this company again nor would I recommend them to my worst enemy.

My car was filthy, so I asked them to take care of it, they washed the outside and didn’t even consider that the inside was full of beach sand and sunscreen. So the sent back to be cleaned on the inside. I’m sure I’ve never had an issue with a rental car being dirty before. So now I’ve been sitting here 30 min and the shuttle bus has come back twice. They could have offered a different car at least.

Really sorry i didn’t read the Unilocal reviews before using Ace. We didn’t have the super long wait times that others did since we took a cab there but when we called to confirm the address they gave us a hard time because they’d been expecting us 90 minutes earlier. are you kidding?! it’s a car rental place near the airport, we don’t know exactly what time we’ll land, how long our luggage will take etc. And when we arrived, our car had just finished being cleaned so it didn’t really matter if we’d showed up 90 mins earlier, our car would not have been ready.
While waiting for everything to be processed I had the joy of overhearing them give a guy a hard time because he reported that there was no windshield wiper fluid or gas in the car he’d just rented («just go to the gas station down the street, otherwise you’ll have to bring it to the service area and wait at least half an hour»), and also heard them make rude & nasty remarks about an elderly japanese man who was renting a car.
we got into our car and in my 20+ years of renting a car i’ve never gotten into one that was not clean, damaged (not badly but still), didn’t have a full tank of gas and was low on wiper fluids etc. That streak is now broken. The outside was clean but the inside was clearly not there were multiple scratches and deep chips on the outside, and more. Regardless, the car was in good working condition. I now look forward to haggling with them over the extra $$ that appeared on our bill

This place SUCKS. 2 people in line to get to the counter to rent a car (we were 2^nd) and took AN HOUR to get to the counter. We had also booked a reservation online through our company for a quote of $ 150. When we FINALLY go to the counter the guy tells us ACE requires mandatory insurance for all people IN the car (not even DRIVING) and that they didn’t have the car that we reserved. After all of his «mandatory» fees, the total was now $ 250. WTF? Also NOT including «liability insurance’ for the 2^nd rider of the car for $ 10 additional per day. Since this was a 6 day rental it was an extra $ 60… = $ 310 total. After an hour of back and forth of telling this guy we have our OWN insurance, he says there’s nothing he can do and if I don’t want the car I can «walk down the road and see if I can get anything else.»
Ace rental is in the middle of NOWHERE. The fact that this guy had the nerve to say that was the LAST straw. We called an über and left after 2 hours of BS.
DO NOT USE ACE. Their policies are pure BS and are «misrepresented» (according to them) on EVERY booking site. Customer service is non-​existent.

STAY AWAY! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. STOLE MY MONEY. TERMS DONT MATCH. SCAM! I bought a rental through a third party online and agreed to their terms. When I came to pick up the car they denied it and said we have our own terms and u need to pay an additional $ 200. So I left a rented from another place. ACE took my money anyway and forced my credit Card company to pay them, saying I forfeited the car. Bunch of lies !!! Go elsewhere.

I just returned a rental here after a week of use. The vehicle was ok, but the people working there are far from it. First, no one ever mentions that this location is not at the airport and that you have to wait outside in the heat for a shuttle. They also didn’t mention that the shuttle can take 45 or more minutes to arrive. I literally had enough time to wait 25 minutes for the shuttle, go to another rental agency, wait in their line for 10 minutes and check to see if they had a vehicle available. (they didn’t) and then return to the Ace Rental buss area and wait another 10 minutes with other pissed off renters.
When you try to call their office you’ll go to voice mail. That voicemail box will be full.
When you get to their location there will be a line. The employees are apathetic. Avoid at all cost.

This was the worst rental car experience ever. First off, it’s off site so you have to wait for a small shuttle that can’t handle the loads of people. We had to wait 1 hour to finally get to the shack in the middle of a swamp. Once getting to the shack, we wait 2 hours to just get our car. They had multiple people working the counter but only two of them were doing anything. Their biggest concern is selling upgrades and insurance to people. They don’t care about anything else. Once you get a car, you have to go find it on the lot. They tell you to use the keys and the alarm system to leave cage the car. Such a huge joke. Returning the car is also a mess. They open at 500am so if you have an early flight, be careful.
I will never rent from an Ace Rental Car place ever– I plan to tell all my friends and family to do the same.

NEVER rent from ace rent a car. The customer service is awful and I’ve never felt so disrespected and talked down to. The sales rep lied to us. We were quoted at just above $ 200 and they wanted to more than double the cost once we arrived. They told me they couldn’t accept the insurance my credit card offers and that I had to add my boyfriend on as a driver so they could use his insurance. They talked us into a toll pass by saying we would drive through multiple tolls in the Disney area. Never drove through one. They also don’t accept cars before 6am which is ridiculous since many flights are early so we had to bring the car to an offsite location for an additional fee.
I am honestly shocked that this place is still in business. It was an unnecessary added stress to my vacation.

I felt being ripped off. I was quoted $ 63 thought better deal then rent car in site of airport. Waited over 1hr for shuttle to rental facility. Then here go the pressure up sale add on. I rejected all still end up paying $ 137
Instead of $ 63. I have to pay $ 50 drop off fee because they don’t open till 5am and first shuttle is 5:30am. Then how are we supposed to catch early flight at 6:00am. They should know there are early flight. Non of this being told up front. A what we know.

Horrible one of my worst experiences ever got here through car rentals and I still regret it
