Action Gator Tire

I have been a regular customer at this location for over a year. Love the service when Pat is there, very honest. The last time I was there though on Oct 26, I had an absolutely terrible experience. I came in for 2 new tires and a synthetic oil change. Pretty simple stuff. When i arrived, Ben Carson said they would begin working on my car right away. Only seemed like there was 1 person ahead of me, so i thought ‘cool, I’ll wait’. An hour and a half later i walk outside to take a call and notice my car is sitting right where i left it! Ben informs me they forgot about me but he had two mechanics working on my car so i could get out of there fast. Ok, not the end of the world. Next thing he says that they ran out of balance beams or something for the tires and had just realized it but the guy was on his way with it (but he couldnt even give me a time estimate). I couldn’t leave with the car because it was already on the hoist. I felt stranded. The last thing i wanted to do after a long day at work is wait in an auto shop the whole evening. A lady who came in 30 minutes after me had her husband talk to Ben and pretty much chew him out. They finish her car first (even though she came in after me with no appointment and also needed tires). He gave her a bunch of discounts AND a free synthetic oil change on her next visit. Maybe because i was talking with Omar (a pretty easygoing guy and puts customers at ease), being nice about the situation and not being a jerk of a customer, i got absolutely no discounts or anything from Ben even though i was there longer than anyone that night. My car was the last one done, even though i was the first one there. Came in at exactly 3:40, didnt get out until 6:30. That is absolutely unacceptable. A customer should be warned if the wait is ever going to be that long. I understand that it’s a business and running out of supplies happen, but Ben was absolutely terrible at handling these issues and working under pressure. I have been there a couple times when it is kind of busy, and the manager, Pat, always lets me know if its a long wait and an honest estimate about how long it’ll take. I like that because it’s no big deal to just hop in another day and be in and out. Anyway, 1 star rating for how everything was badly handled by Ben. I will not be coming back because i do not want to feel stranded like this again. I’ll be finding another auto shop in Orlando to take my car to. My advice is to come in when Pat is around to manage, much better and honest service.

When the inflation sensor in my tire indicated low air and I found a nail, I went to the conveniently located Action Gator Tire. Originally thinking I needed a $ 250 replacement, action gator informed me they could fix it for about $ 20. I’m all for saving over $ 200 and appreciate the honesty. Thanks.

My parents were always the ones getting anything fixed on my car. So when my tire was low I had no clue what to do. I’ve gone to several places up and down Alafaya and they by far have the best customer service. Will definitely recommend my friends to come here.

I said something along the lines of, «whatever you feel is best» (regarding an oil change) and the guy flat out said, «don’t say that; you’re gonna end up with a $ 5000 bill. I’m a salesman, I would swear things upon my grandma’s life to make a sale».

These people are thieves and scumbags. If I could give them 0 stars I would.
I came in for some ‘routine maintenance’. They gave me a quote that was acceptable. After they had already started working on my car, they told me I need more services. Not being a mechanic myself, I was in no position to challenge that. But I also wouldn’t have agreed to pay the new cost of my quote without looking around first to see if it was competitive. They claimed that the additional services I needed couldn’t have been determined before they started working on my car. I don’t buy it. You’d be better off taking your car anywhere else. The staff seems friendly but they’re just going to scam you the second they start working on your car.

This location is wonderful! I have visited this store twice, once for a flat tire and then for a dead battery. The manager, Lee, and his team were very respectful to my needs and my time. They handled my concerns quickly and ensured I was off to work as quick as possible. In addition, I felt as though I was respected as a female and never looked down upon for not knowing enough about cars (a feeling I’ve gotten at other car repair shops). If you live in East Orange county check them out, I will go there again!

Action Gator is amazing. I had gone to Tire Kingdom for my first car repair and was overcharged and waited way too long for an oil change. Being a college student who is tight on a budget, I am glad that I can count on Lee and Jimmy and the Action Gator team to be there for me and make for sure my vehicle is safe. I recommend Action Gator to anyone who needs a job well-​done and friendly service.
