Arepas el cacao is a strip mall eatery but the service was great! Our cashier was really friendly and helpful. I ordered a jugo de passion fruit, and its really light, refreshing, and made-to-order! They have a wife variety of choices on their menu so you can pick the meal you want & the prices are fair.

Great Venezuelan food. Slow service because they cook everything to order. I tried the arepa with cheese and pulled pork, had the cachapa with cheese and the tequeños. Everything tasted fresh. you got 6 tequeños per order. They also have homemade garlic deeping sauce and salsa rosada. Will be there next time I’m in Orlando. Very friendly staff. 4 convenient locations.

Ordered an arepa with shredded beef, avocado, white cheese, and black beans. It was everything to me. It gave me life. It was massive… Like fork & knife massive. I’m going to sleep now falling into a coma goodnight :)

I honestly really wanted to like this place. I love Arepas and am always looking for spots to try them when I’m on vacation. After reading all the incredible reviews I thought I had to try this place. The customer service wasn’t great, even though the place was totally empty. They didn’t have change for a $ 20 bill so I had to pay with a card. Upon checking out, I informed them I had a shellfish allergy, so I just wanted the beef. When I received my arepa, there were two shrimp inside. Additionally the food was cold. I don’t like writing bad reviews, but there just wasn’t much positive to say about the experience. Although, there is plenty of parking & they offer a wide range of sauces //salsas which I thought was a nice touch. Overall though, you’re better driving across town and going to Q’Kenan instead.

So good. It really tasted it like legitimate Spanish food. I had the number 3 and it was extremely filling and the price was not bad at all. Definitely a great buy and a good find. The portion was extremely filling and it also tasted well. The food came out fast and the price was not bad at all

Mouthwatering delicious. And filling. And under $ 10. Many different toppings to choose from(you can get up to 5), lots of different, equally delicious condiments, and imported South American frescas. I wish I was staying in Orlando for more than a week so I could go here again.

A must do if you are in the mood for some Venezuelan awesomeness. The concept is basic but effective. You order your arepa(grilled cornmeal cake) and then select up-to five toppings from a very robust menu of Venezuelan toppings. Toppings include: Queso Llanero Queso de Mano Queso Guyanese Pernil Carne Mechada Aguacate The café also offers an assortment of natural juices and the mighty chicha(basically a liquid rice pudding. Sounds gross, I know, but give it a shot. You’ll be transported to paradise for a couple of minutes! Promise!)

Lovin this Arepa. So tasty and so big I ask to cut it in half. Right across the street from mcdonalds and best cleaners. Empenadas are delicious too. AND mango drink w milk or water. Need to practice your spanish? This is the place. Can you say authentic?

Ugh I love Venezuelan arepas so much thanks to my Venezuelan best friend! These arepas tasted just like homemade ones I have when I go over her house. I had mines with white cheese and chicken. Delicious! They have a variety of different topping for your arepas. This place also sells traditional fruit drinks like«mora». The place itself is small in a tiny strip of other food places so it’s kinda hard to see from the road. I found it thanks to Unilocal and my gps, but once you find it do go in! It will leave your tummy singing for more!

Following some locals recommendations decided to hit his place to have some Venezuelan Arepas and some other goodies. Place was a little busy due to be open after hours. Basically you can order whatever you want on your Arepa so I went for a Reyna Pepiada, basically is chicken salad with fresh shrimp, guayanese cheese and avocado. My wife ordered some tequeños, which are basically the Venezuelan version of Cheese sticks, but better. My friend ordered an Arepa with Carne Mechada y we got two Colombianas(Cola from Colombia). The total was $ 27.87 dollars. Ok here is the deal, food was good, but at the end Arepas to me are not a meal more like a after hours snack. So for the price and the quality of the food I think is pricey. The service of this place was really bad and that is the reason why I’m giving them 3 stars. For the guy(cashier) if it is too much work taking orders while you are sitting on your butt maybe you should consider changing your career, we also asked him for a box to go and his attitude was as if I asked him for his life! The guy was very rude and seem to be bothered for everything people ask. The decoration was of a basic fast food joint, one line with toppings and you select what you want on your Arepa. Would I go back? No, would I recommend it? No. Places like this are popping out everywhere, so I wouldn’t bother to go out of my way to get an overpriced Arepa and deal with a 20 year old kid with a bad attitude. If you are hungry and on the area just go next door, just like that.

Tiny restaurant which serves the best arepas in town and the most refreshing drink«papelon», a Venezuelan drink made with sugar cane. The best arepa is «Arepa el Cacao» because it comes with all kind of stuff: farm cheese, shrimp, russian salad with chicken, shreded beef, etc.

Give it to me baby, A ha a ha. Okay, I get why this place is super packed at like 10pm on a Sunday, and the fact that everyone mostly speaks Spanish, this is some amazing authentic stuff! There are four locations in Kissimmee and Orlando, and to think, this started from a food truck. Usually, I’m a cachapas kinda girl because I love the sweetness, but I wanted to save money so an arepa is what I picked out. It was filled with shredded beef, white and yellow cheese, sweet plantains, avocado, and egg. The arepa crust was crunchy. The beef was juicy and all the flavors was stupendous, like unbelievable, like no words can describe!!! They also have empanadas, tequenos(cheese sticks), tropical smoothie drinks, coffee, desserts and drinks from Venezuela, and beef soup with lots of veggies and potatoes. Prices are under $ 10 at the most. The only drawback is they have bar on wall seating and two outside normal height tables. It gets packed, and it makes sense! I will not forget this place for sure!

This place is pretty authentic Venezuelan arepas. The food is good enough to go back but if you’ve had really good Venezuelan arepas this won’t blow you away. They have other things besides arepas but it’s mostly just street food. It’s not too much of a sit down place with most ppl having a quick bite or ordering to go. It’ll hit the spot but could do with some improvement.

Let me say this place set my taste buds on fire!!! I’ve never had Venezuelan food before. I couldn’t read the menu because it was all in Spanish, But my god it was good. I got the Arepa which is $ 7 and you can put what ever you want in it from the list of food items on the menu like carne, shrimp, beans and chicken. I got the chicken shrimp and cheese and its big enough and filling where you can just eat one. The guy behind the cash register was nice and explained everything to me and my friend and it was a plus that he was super cute(= when you get your food just pick it up and bite it won’t work trying to cut it. The also have sauces in the front that are good. Get the garlic sauce and the pink sauce makes it that much better!

This tidy storefront serves prepared to order arepas with a variety of fillings and a nice assortment of sauces on the side. Although the name refers to chocolate, it’s a Venezuelan expression that simply means«The Best» Arepas. And they are good. I had the shredded beef version with white cheese. It was particularly good with the homemade green sauce. The also have cachapas. Unlike the arepas, which are grilled, slit open and stuffed, the cachapas are sweeter, and are folded over to hold their payload. I also enjoyed my blackberry smoothie, which wasn’t too rich and had just the right amount of sweetness.

These are true Venezuelan arepas! Reminds me of my childhood. So many options to choose from to stuff your arepas: original styles and new modern ones. They also serve delicious cachapas, another native dish. Their natural fruit juices are to die for. The staff is amazing. They are friendly and informative for those who don’t have experience eating arepas. I recommend una arepa con carne mechada y queso guayanés con un jugo de parchita. Or un jugo de guanabana. Or even guayana! Yum!

Orlando is full of chains so it was really nice to find this place. You order at the counter and they call your number when it’s ready. We were only there for that one meal and we were heading out of Orlando so we ended up getting Arepa El Cacao 2– it has everything in it. LOL. It was really good and they have a little area for housemade sauces and I tried every one of them and it made the food even more fun. yet messy. Don’t take it to eat in your car. That was Plan A and I’m glad we didn’t because stuff was falling out and it was real messy. but then again the Arepa had everything stuffed in it. I rather have that than not enough filling.

Craving arepas for my birthday! So what better place than FL to have arepas within the U. S! This place is clean and arepas full of meat! One star taken away cuz of the dry cheese.

I’ve never been to any restaurant that had the real, authentic white arepas that my Abuela Vale used to make us… until today. I am serious! Traditionally we have arepas with butter or cheese, but this place opens them up like pita pockets and stuffs them with heavenly goodness only your taste buds can explain. I ordered the arepa with chicken and my boyfriend had the arepa with pork. Both meats were seasoned very well. Don’t be intimidated by the size of it… it’s enough for one person. :-) Several fresh juices are available, including orange juice that’s squeezed to order. Yes! There are also several sauces which I didn’t try this time around, but will definitely want to try again some time when I return. The place is small, and is a fast-food environment. It is clean and fairly new-looking still. If you’ve never had an arepa… stop reading this and come here!
