There’s two places I must dine when I’m in town: ceviche house and durian durian Always consistent and tremendous portions that can feed two famished ladies. The ceviche is decent, I’d recommend the mixed seafood bcs I wasn’t a fan of the cut or type of fish they used. The lomo salteado is hands down my favorite dish. Pair it with an ice cold Cristal(aka the closest brew recipe to ancient Egyptians beer) and you’re good for the whole day.

Really great food! Tried it for the first time today and the service really couldn’t have been better. Our waitress was very helpful and attentive. The only reason it lost one star in my book is because my check included a $ 17 dish that wasn’t mine. I brought it to the attention of my waitress and it was corrected HOWEVER my new bill(around $ 40) had a suggested tip of «18%» =$ 10.34. That is not 18% of $ 40. I found this very deceiving. Other than that everything was exceptional.

Surprisingly good. Big portions of relatively high quality food. The ceviche itself was a little underwhelming but the main entrees were very good. Would come back to get my next Peruvian fix.

Delicious, authentic Peruvian! I’m from the DMV area(basically DC) and we have several Peruvian restaurants, all of which I’ve been to, and Ceviche House is probably the best I’ve tried! We started off with a causa de pollo, which was delicious but a small portion(as usual with Peruvian restaurants). Husband got ceviche de camarones y pescado and I got Arroz chaufa. I had really wanted Anticuchos de corazon, but the server informed me that they had absolutely no Anticuchos. Bummer. I didn’t really care too much for my arroz chaufa. But the ceviche was excellent! Would love to come back if we lived in the area. I highly recommend to anyone looking for Peruvian food and ceviche especially.

We had the mixed ceviche and a shrimp one and I actually prefer the shrimp one in fact so much that we got 3 orders to go. The fried seafood rice is excellent! Great service!

The waitress have bad attitudes and the cook is a slob looks like overworked and underpaid. Food is good but service is terrible. I won’t ever go back there. Wouldn’t be surprised if they spit in the food.

Mom and pop that was successful and opened a second location. Very authentic food, lots of options(I had a hard time making my mind in what to order) and they even have nectars… Almost as good as it came out of the juicer. Service was a little slow but totally worth the wait, specially when there is not many options for good Peruvian food in Orlando.

Excellent food, and service. We had the fish, and shrimp ceviche to start. Then we split the arroz y mariscos and it was great.

Prices are reasonable, but service is the worst. Server asked for feedback about the food and we honestly told her what we thought about the ceviche. We said we liked the seasoning but the quality of the fish is poor. She didn’t like it at all by saying«well thats how we make it here» I’m sorry but thats not the best answer to give to a customer. She could have least apologized that we feel that way. Then later on we ordered a jalea which wasnt bad and it always comes with this sauce called«tartara» but they gave us salsa golf instead which is a combination of ketchup or mayo. When i asked specifically for the tartara sauce she brings more of the golf sauce. I felt like she was trying to fool us, so we asked her if they have the tartara sauce and she replied that is it. We told het that this is not it and that if she is peruvian she would know that the sauce she brought is golf sauce. And she replies with a bad attitude yes im peruvian and thats what we call it here in this restaurant. That dish is never eaten with ketchup and mayo. It is more expensive to make the other sauce but she could have at least apologized and said we dont have that sauce here. She then comes back with the check and told us the tip is included in the check because this was a party of 5 or more people. We didn’t complain since we were tired to see her face. However i don’t recall seeing in the menu that gratuity will be included for a party of 5 or more. But i might be wrong on that. Anyway… Bad service. The only good thing we ate was the lomo saltado with tacu tacu and the chupe de camarones soup. I will simply never come back mainly because of the poor customer service.

Service was great, helpful in menu deciphering, clean as a whistle(what ever that means for you) Ceviche: seafood, citric, spicy and delicious! Chaufa Mixto de Mariscos, pollo y carne was fabulous. Chinese influence with rice and soy sauce .THE bomb ! Go, that’s the recommendation! My husband keep saying” I’m going to have a hankering for that again very soon”. Let me know what you think.

I wish I could rate this place higher, but sadly I cannot do that. When considering the experience as a whole, I think 3 stars is quite a fair assessment for Ceviche House in south Semoran. The food alone is good, but not great. Some dishes are certainly better than others, and that’s the kind of inconsistency that should not exist in a restaurant. Anything with aji de gallina or huancaina sauce is on the bland side. It should be a little spicy(though not hot), with a creamy consistency, and a tad bit more salt? Other dishes like the lomo saltado are better seasoned. Where they really lose points is on service. I’ve been here twice, and in both ocassions, my service was slow. And lunch service should not take over an hour(close to two hours on my second visit). On my second visit, the credit card machine broke down(I guess they only had one?) and it took around 30 minutes for them to decide to use an alternative where they write down the credit card information and the cost — all manually. I believe that even if we didnt have the misfortune of technology failure, it would have still taken too long, as we were there for quite some time before that last situation. I have been to the location in south OBT, and I find the service generally slow, but not like this location. This location is also not as «pretty» as the location in south orlando, but this review is not based on ambiance. However, if you must know, the ambiance is a bit lackluster. If you’ve never had peruvian, this is an «okay» introduction to the cuisine, but by no means should it be a representation of it.

My husband is Peruvian and finding Peruvian food is difficult where we live. We always try to find a Peruvian or Latin Fusion restaurant when we are in Orlando, and when we stumbled across this place I just fell in love. I try not to write a review on a place that I’ve only visited once. I feel that if you have tried enough options to condemn or praise a place with honest and precise facts upon review, you’re Unilocaling correctly. What you tried today might be amazing and tomorrow you order something terrible. With that said, Ceviche House is my GO-TO place for Peruvian food. The Causa is the best; Perfectly made and delicious! The Saltado de Pollo is a classic Peruvian dish and they make it to perfection. Ceviche Mixto is pretty self explanatory and there is a reason why this place is called CEVICHEHOUSE. If you ever want something totally authentic and out of the norm. Try the Chilcano soup. YUM!

We treated our brother’s family for them to try a Peruvian dishes. Although a bit too far from their location, the dishes are so good and fresh. We have fish, squids and shrimps and we find them worthy of the price. We ended up with orders that are more than we can chew. Our server is friendly and the service is good. Their«sushi» version and seafood fried rice is worth to try. We’ll definitely going back here when we’re in the area. Which can be anytime soon… — South Jersey Wanderer

I will give 4 stars for quality and taste but too much money for what is offered. Not for the healthy conscious person. Lots of fried and breaded food. Not really impressed.

I have been searching Orlando up and down for a great Peruvian restaurant and this is not the place. More specifically I’m looking for a Peruvian dish known as aji de gallina, a spicy creamed chicken that makes my mouth water just thinking about it. The last time I had it, it was made by my peer in our food preparation class and she was traveling abroad from Peru. It was hands down one of the best dishes I’ve ever tasted and I’ve been craving it since. I was super excited when I found out this place served it, it was actually listed as a new menu item. When we walked in we were literally the only people there and the ambience was dingy and not very welcoming. Lots of things were crossed off the menu and there were a few dishes we asked about in which our waitress had to keep checking in the back to make sure they had the ingredients(which they didn’t, no Avocado!). I of course ordered re dish I’ve been craving and it was so unsatisfying that I barely are half and let them take the rest away. It was bland, just so flavorless and the texture was off; it was nothing like the one I had tried before. There’s a 99% I won’t come back here but hopefully your experience and food will be better than mine!

Stopped here on the way to Gainesville. Nice family Restaurant, had the ceviche and it was excellent and a large portion of fish and good sized shrimp. Tasted fresh and well seasoned. Also had a piece of fish along with the tiki takua rice. It was very good. Very nice flavor. Staff was very friendly and answered our questions. Décor of the restaurant is s little drab but the food was very good. The mana cue ice cream was very tasty. Would definitely stop there as opposed to stopping at a fast food restaurant.

Going in we weren’t really sure what to expect. We had never had Ceviche but we love sushi and sashimi. We had the fish and shrimp ceviche which was done up nicely in a tangy citrus sauce, covered in onions, and served with what seemed like over sized corn. Going with some recommendations from the server we decided to sample some other dishes. Everything was good and the service ok. Overall, good food at a decent price.
