The food and the service was great. I had the shrimp and calamari rice, and my wife had the fried seafood and yuca plate. I don’t remember exactly the name of the dishes but the waitress was very helpful. I will return and try some other things on the menu. I highly recommend it.

Really good and I’m not saying it just cause I’m Peruvian. Their rotisserie chicken has been marinated in beer, so it’s juicy and super tasty. The sauces are good too. Their yellow chili is kinda like an aioli, with just the right amount of spice. Their yuccas are so fresh and crunchy. Try the mousse de lucuma, airy and rousing.

The food and the service were awesome. I had the ceviche Mixto, and the first thing I noticed was the temperature. Every time I had visited a Peruvian Restaurant in America, the fish and seafood were icy cold, and I found that very unpleasant, and here in Lima 41, I was very surprised and delighted when I found that my ceviche was at room temperature, the way it should be! And the portion was the perfect size. That was enough for me to realize the level of professionalism and attention to detail the Chef has, and that was confirmed after tasting other plates and being impressed by the quality of the food. Another great point for Lima 41 is that the Chef owns the restaurant, which sets it aside from many other Peruvian restaurants in Orlando, that hire great chefs for the first few months after opening, fire them after getting a good review, and the food is not the same after, so in Lima 41 I can be sure to find CONSISTENCY on the food, which is a major point for a good restaurant.

I’ve had my eye on Lima 41 since it took over a little Italian spot on Curry Ford but we didn’t make it over there until recently and I don’t think we’ll be making it back. Lima 41 is a small restaurant and there’s not much ambiance to speak of but we can let that slide. Based on some of the reviews I was really excited to try out the food and perhaps where we went wrong was not ordering the chicken because we were not satisfied. I ordered a steak dish which was cubed steak, tomatoes, onions and french fries. The meat was cooked well but the dish was simple and lacking and I could have easily made this myself saving $ 15. My boyfriend ordered the ceviche made with a white fish and served over corn. He didn’t even come close to finishing his meal. They do serve Pisco Sours and those were quite good but it took forever to actually receive them.

Had dinner at Lima41 tonight and will definitely be coming back for more. We tried the papas a la huancaina, lomo saltado and the ceviche de pescado. The papas a la huancaina were soft, creamy and slightly spicy– perfect way to start the meal, the lomo was outstanding with each piece of steak being cooked to medium juicy perfection and last but not least, the ceviche was fresh and delicious! The prices are very reasonable, service was quick and friendly and the place is very clean. Give this little gem of a restaurant a chance and you will not be disappointed. Five stars!

If you’re thinking about trying this place, don’t. Just save your money and go to Pio Pio instead. Lima41 isn’t horrible, but the food is not worth the premium price they charge. Went in the other day for the first time — entire place was empty(we weren’t sure it was even open). The waiter(who really is as nice as everyone says) was complaining on the phone about the Yoga studio next door taking all of the parking places. The«warm, toasted, salty corn nuts» others have mentioned were cold(probably from the day before). Then, the food came out. Reheated appetizers(the inside was warm, the outside was cold) with«dipping sauces»(marinara, tartar sauce, and onion salad). The entrée I got(chicken in yellow cream sauce) was obviously reheated, and the«sauce» was completely broken. The food didn’t make us sick or anything, but the entire time we were there, we were wishing we had gone somewhere else. Oh well – wanted to give this place a try and we did. Maybe we came at the wrong time, but won’t be going back.

Loved, loved, loved this place! Jenny, the server, is fantastic. One of the nicest servers we’ve ever met. We started with the red sangria which they make in-house and it was so good! They bring to the table these warm, toasted, salty corn nuts to munch on which were surprisingly good. We ordered the Ceviche de Pescado and the Papa a la Huancaina for starters. The ceviche was fresh, not fishy, and delicious. They marinate the white fish in fresh lime juice with garlic, red onions, cilantro and rocoto peppers. It’s a very decent portion with a lot of nicely sized pieces of fish so make sure you share or you can have this as your main dish with something on the side. The Papa a la Huancaina is a classic peruvian dish of potatoes topped with a yellow-spicy-creamy sauce. The sauce is to die for. The only thing that I don’t like about this dish is that is served cold. It would taste so much better if the potatoes and sauce were hot. But that is how is served. For dinner we split the Arroz Chaufa Especial. Arroz Chaufa is a staple in peruvian cuisine and it’s very very similar to chinese fried rice minus the greasyness, in my opinion. It is a mix of rice with vegetables, onions, eggs, and meat sauteed with soy sauce. The Especial, in this case, included chicken, steak and shrimp. It was fantastic. Highly recommend this dish to share since it’s a big plate. For dessert(of course!) we had the vanilla flan. Creamy consistency and perfect caramel, just how it should be.

I don’t see this place making it. It’s WAY overpriced, and the ambiance is totally lacking. My girlfriend and I stopped in for a bite of rotisserie chicken and were shocked at the $ 11.00 price for half of a chicken. There are other Peruvian places in town that offer the same fare for a fraction of the cost, and with better surroundings. Sorry — we didn’t even get past the exorbitant menu prices, and ditched before we even ordered. It didn’t help that the place was utterly empty. Crickets were chirping — big time.

Jenny was awesome. She welcomed us, explained all the menu and took great care of us. We tried several entrees and enjoyed them all. I thought the rotisserie chicken was outstanding. We didn’t try the ceviche but will plan to next time.

I’m sold. Great food, great service, and a great addition to the burgeoning Peruvian restaurant scene. So watch out other Peruvian places, this place ascends to the top after only two weeks out of the gate. There were 3 of us and we ordered the Lima 41 meal, which is basically a whole chicken, salad, plantains, frijoles, and a stir fried rice type dish with beef. Chicken — Rotisserie like you would expect, but it stood above the crowd in my book. The skin was delicious and not over salted. The meat was not dry and the whole thing had a very pleasant smoke flavor to it that was not overpowering. Salad — Not much to report here, but I love that avocados were in place. Plantains — Good, but I hope they offer tostones in the future. Frijoles — Delicious. Rice — LOVED this stir fry. It was so savory with somewhat complex flavors. The beef in it was delicious. This could stand as a dish on its own and it very well might but I don’t have a menu to verify. This meal in itself was WAY more than the 3 of us could ever need, which made the random ordering of shrimp causa just excess. The causa itself was fine, but I think that the shrimp didn’t add much to it… best to stick with tuna, which my friend had there the night before and loved. So the Lima 41 meal is the way to go, not only for its plentitude, but a mix of their items, and the price can’t be beat…$ 28. I couldn’t eat another bite and when offered a dessert of cookies, I was somewhat unsure what was being offered until the magic words: dulce de leche. Yum. The menu is not large, but that’s a good thing, especially for a new restaurant. I have a feeling this place will be around for a while and that makes me happy.

Lima 41 has now been open two weeks, and we ate here for the first time tonight, about 7:30 on a Thursday night. We will definitely be back. Soon. They have taken over, and remodeled, the space formerly occupied by Amalfi’s(whose pizza we will miss). The interior is pleasant, clean, and stylish. The server, Jenny(she is currently the *only* server and works every day, both shifts) was extremely friendly and helpful. She is from Lima, which is only a coincidence, since she did not know the owner, who is also from Lima, before she took the job here. But she obviously loves the food, and thinks very highly of the chef. We generally like to start cautiously when eating at a new place in Orlando, but caution was not needed here. We started with sodas(no liquor license as of yet) followed by fried calamari, which was tender and well-cooked, served with a homemade tarter sauce. Next we ordered the ceviche de pescado. Fantastic. We were comparing it to our prior favorite in town at Brasas on Orange. Jenny told us this one was better because it was less salty, and we think she is right. It had just the right combination of tangy and salty and spicy. The corn and sweet potatoes were nice, and the fish was excellent. Also, the fried corn poppers, whose actual name I can never remember, were warm and salty, just out of the fryer. Next we tried the causa rellena, which sounds strange and looks beautiful but also strange – cold mashed potatoes with avocado and tuna. I know, it sounds bizarre, but trust me. Delicious. Cold and refreshing and pretty on the plate(I uploaded a picture because it’s not possible to easily describe them). Although I love a little crunch to my food and this had none, I loved it anyway. It was sort of like a cold tuna salad if you put cold potato pancakes on it and slathered it with avocado. Hard to explain, but delicious. The chef, Freddy, came out to speak to us. Next up: the chicken. Jenny assures us that it is spiced correctly, and I guess she would know. The other reviewer who says they don’t have chicken on the weekends is not correct. They have chicken every day. However, they have been running out by dinner some nights because they run a very popular $ 8 lunch special. As they figure out what their customer base looks like, I’m sure they’ll be able to get the chicken production right. All in all, this was a wonderful experience. I wish this new restaurant the best, and urge you to do your civic duty and check it out for yourself.
