I placed an order for 4 futon glides(parts) They came promptly in 3 days but I only received 2 So I called and spoke to them and they said they would check and fix the problem and get back to me. I called a week later and they said that I spoke to the owner and she took care of it. As of today it’s been 15 days and nothing .no return call or my parts. Prior to this I was looking to buy a futon from them … Now no way would I ever buy anything from them

This place is not cheap but I ordered a futon. It arrived and THAT weekend we worked on putting it together. There was a cracked piece, but we didn’t notice until we had spent an hour putting it together. They asked for more pictures(though we had sent two), since this had«never» happened in the history of the company so I sent more, and told them that the«free» solid cover had a faulty zipper. It would open after we closed it. By the way, they claim to give you a free cover if you pick a solid color. NOT. You need to pick from a well hidden small selection of solids, so don’t spend a lot of time looking through all the solids like I did only to find out it was a waste of time. I sent pictures of the broken zipper. Weeks later we still hadn’t heard back so I continued to call and email. Finally we get the cracked piece weeks later. I had to continue with e-mails asking about the cover. Over a month later they send a UPS shipping label! They still have not replaced the cover and I have no idea why they ASKED for pictures of the broken cover if they were just going to ask for it to be returned over a month later. At least they sent a label and the futon was comfortable.

I have to say that we had an AMAZING experience today at Futon Planet!!! After reading the review on here I was a bit unsure! We drove 2 hours to this store today and we were not disappointed. The owner was honest, helpful, and helped us select an appropriate futon for our guest room… We were please with the entire shopping experience !!!

Update: LOCATION of Futon Planet: 4801 E Colonial Dr Orlando, FL32803 Moral of the story is: Futon planet is a small business, so if you are missing hardware, YOU must have thrown it away or NOT seen it.(that is what he said to me when i first called). If you then need the hardware, you should pay for part of the shipping cost. If your futon doesn’t work, YOU assembled it wrong, but don’t worry, you can PAY to ship the HEAVY futon back AND pay a 20% restocking fee. It is NEVER Futon Planet’s fault. The owner goes OUTOFHISWAY to make you pay for HALF of the shipping fee if THEY forget to give you all the parts and then makes it seem like you were being ridiculous in assuming you get everything that you paid for. I decided to forget I purchased my futon from them and every time I look at that futon, I have regrets. I decided to just let it go. Then today, the owner writes a ridiculous response that makes me realize that I can not let someone else go through this. I also need to make sure the Better Business Bureau knows about this business. There is nothing worse than a company that doesn’t take responsibility for their products and services and then has the audacity to put the blame back onto the customer. I am now filing with the better business bureau. Really, spend the money and go to the futon shop. This is NOT worth your time.

My husband went in here to look for a futon for our spare bedroom. They have a very large selection and some of the nicest futons I’ve ever seen. These people KNOW their futons — check out their website. It even includes a «history of futons» if you’re bored! But seriously, Futon Planet has taken a pretty lame piece of furniture that namely makes it’s appearances in stinky dorm rooms… to something fabulous! One of the things I liked about Futon Planet is the fact that you can buy the frames and mattresses separately. You can mix and match and make the futon that fits what you’re looking for. They sell a lot of different mattresses varying in thickness, hardness/softness, and price. There is pretty much a futon to fit everyone’s budget. I like some of the colorful and«trendier» looking futons that looks like a cute little couch when they are folded up. I would definitely recommend checking them out if you are looking for an affordable and fun option for a spare or guest bedroom!
