I’m long overdue to write this review as it was a few months ago… This was a total surprise to me as I didn’t have high expectations before going due to the location! However the server was excellent and the food was delicious! I loved their whole fish. Cook perfectly! Very moist and flakey, not dry at all. They lemon Greek potatoes were so tasty and amazing I still crave it. Their meat was tender and juicy. All I have to say is you really get A quality food here.

Awesome gyros! The platter comes with fries and a salad. Great flavor and large portions. The Greek salad dressing is on point.

Get the mixed dinner platter. It’s a great value and delicious. I haven’t found anything bad on the menu.

Bad service. Nothing special. Short on staff. Definitely not authentic Greek food. Nothing different than any standard Greek place in the US.

Feeling a little Greek? Greek Flame is the perfect place to satisfy that craving. We are always impressed with the excellent service and hospitality of this great hidden gem of a restaurant. White table cloths infused with ambient Greek music, and a menu that offers a selection from appetizers to desserts and everything in between. Our very favorite starter is Saganaki Flaming Cheese… OPA! It is just not complete without this to start our Greek journey of food. Just delicious. I love Dolmades [stuffed grape leaves], and even though my hubby is not a fan, he will eat those at Greek Flame because they are just so tasty. We usually enjoy the Greek Flame platter for two, as it includes most of the favorite items we love; Gyros, Dolmades, a big Greek salad, spinach pies and more. Each item prepared fresh and the portions are so generous, there is always something enough left to take home for a late night snack. They offer a nice selection of Greek wines and beer, and I believe there is full bar service, too, though we have not tried cocktails, just beer and wine, which is perfectly matched with our meal. If you are looking for an absolutely wonderful dining experience, you must try Greek Flame Taverna. You won’t be disappointed! Actually, you will likely be planning when your next visit will be, just like we do. It is family friendly, yet, at the same time, it is also perfect for a romantic dinner, and a business lunch, too. We choose to go with ‘business casual’ attire when we dine, but we see plenty of casual diners, as well. Love it, love it, love it!!! Can’t wait to hear ‘OPA!’ again, soon.

I came for lunch with a few of my co-workers. There was something here for everyone, and being someone with diet restrictions I could see that I wouldn’t have a problem finding something for me. I chose the vegetarian platter with veggies, Hummus, Tzatziki sauce and pita bread. Since I can’t eat gluten I asked for the platter without the bread. There was a mix up in the kitchen and they sent out the platter with the bread on it. My server was very obviously distressed and very apologetic, and since I noticed that the bread was on the other side of the containers of Tzatziki and Hummus so I just gave it to my friend. The food was quite tasty, however I literally got one tomato, feta cheese, ¼c of tzatziki and ¼c of Hummus for $ 13. I was mistaken when I ordered thinking that it actually had more vegetables and since I can’t eat the pita there was no vehicle for two of the items. It was more of an appetizer size and without anything to substitute the bread, I left hungry. But then, that just shows that they depend on bread to fill up the customer. My server was wonderful, I saw the notes she took regarding my request, but the kitchen ignored a food allergy. That is a huge no-no in my book. I am not being picky, I swear, I just can’t eat it or I will be in pain for days. Maybe I will try it again, but who knows. Looking at my plate and everyone else’s I just don’t know if the value for price is worth it. If I do, I will most definitely update accordingly.

terrible service, I was hopping to have a great time with my date but I did NOT. Do I really really need to wait 45 minutes for a glass of water ?? I drop 150 $ with wine and appetizer, and I will not go there no more. I believe that in the today market have«ok» food is a mast but what set you a part is a great service and this place should start from square one as customer service!!!

Just had lunch there. Grape leaves were the best we had!!! They were stuffed with beef as well and added amazing flavor. The lamb gyro was made with real leg of lamb and delicious! Try it!!!

Rude and disgusting management. They overcharge people and when are called on it this was their literally yelling response…“The Greek Flame would not make any money if we gave free food to everyone? Seriously? I tried to ignore the 4 small chunks of chicken they gave us for as Chicken Souvlaki for $ 18 with about 15 small fries as the side. Leg of lamb is also supposed to be sliced no? Not chunks of lamb swimming in a pool of juice. We were charged $ 24 instead of $ 12 for 4 small ramekins of hummus spreads by an obvious wait staff mistake but the manager came over screaming at us! $ 24 for Hummus??? I lived in Queens, NY for years and this place is a joke. Not close to authentic Greek food. How does a manger come out when you have a legit problem with the bill come out yelling loudly at us that we are trying to rip them off? Then decide to not change the bill and charge us for it anyway? I will tell everyone I know to avoid this place at all costs. I’m sorry Greek Flame that you had to make us so uncomfortable that you made me write this review and never visit your restaurant again. Which I had been to many times. The overly rude manager/owner just put it over the top.

A pretty place, good food, but not my favorite Greek. The saganaki had an odd flavor, as though it were mostly goat cheese based instead of a sheep or a mix. The gyro platter was good, but the meat was barely lukewarm. The tzatziki was excellent. All in all, I’d prefer The Greek Corner if I had my choice.

Good food. Nice service. We went there on a weekday evening, so it. Wasn’t very busy. We had the saganaki, grilled octopus, village salad, and the meat platter for two. There was a good amount of meat for two or more people easily. We had no room for dessert. All in all enjoyed it with the family.

Great Greek dinner. A little pricey but we stuffed ourselves. Leg of lamb was served off the bone and practically fell apart in our mouths. Chocolate baklava cheesecake rocked.

I stopped in last week while on a trip to Orlando for business. I love Greek food and this place hit the spot. I had the lemon chicken orzo soup, a lot of pita and dolmades. It was the perfect dinner that was both flavorful and filling. Nice atmosphere and friendly service too!

I am picky about Greek food. If the gyro tastes like fair food, I am done. But this spot – whoa. First off, get the tomato and feta appetizer. Our waitress recommended it and even told us exactly where the feta was sourced from. Impressive. It was flavorful and surprisingly filling, the perfect starter. I got the gyro platter, which came with freshly made pita and maybe the best French fries I have ever had. The meat was seasoned perfectly. I was in heaven. My guest got the moussaka. It was good, but needed a little salt. After that addition, it was perfection. In short, great service, great food, great atmosphere. A great date spot!

Ok, so I usually write good reviews. I’m not a negative person. However, I am an honest person on these reviews. Wow, what a let down. I saw the high rated reviews and was excited as I love Greek food. We got here and had to wait for a table to be set. The party of 4 behind us was waiting, too. So after 4 or 5 minutes, we were seated right next to the group after us. Their waitress came, took their orders, brought their appetizers, and finally our waitress came. We ordered drinks– I had water– my dinner mates had 3 beers. We asked to order appetizers and she said she’d get it when she brought out drinks. In 8 minutes she brought our water and 2 of the beers and took our app order. We asked for grilled octopus, spinach pie, Greek sausage, fried cheese, a side salad and gyro platter. We asked for the beer again –and a refill on water. And maybe some silverware. She brought the cheese and pita and forgot the beer and silverware. So…(wth with our restaurant luck today!) She brought everything else except the side salad or Greek sausage and said,“we are out of sausage what would you like?” We said some kind of meat app.” She said«there are none, how about a tomato with feta?» I said, «no we want meat. How about a menu?» Huge sigh! Oh– and silverware! She got us the silverware. We saw kabob on the menu and asked could we substitute a kabob for the sausage as we didn’t want veggies and orzo. «No,» she said. We asked her to ask if we could substitute. She replied if she asked they’d send her home. Ok… So we ordered the meal and got no salad still. Now, we tried all the food and then when we were almost done she said she was going to put in the order for the kabobs. In 15 minutes she brought 1 kabob with 3 pieces of meat, 1 tomato chunk, 1 onion slice, 1 zucchini slice and 1 mushroom cap. We also got ½ cup of orzo. That was it for $ 20. Ok now the food– Spinach pies– they were dry but the guys said they were ok. The flaming cheese was very good. It was the best thing we tried. The grilled octopus was average– The gyro was so dry it was Inedible. The tatziki sauce was pure yogurt no dill no lemon no flavor. The fries were soggy. Soooooo disappointing. The lamb was ordered medium and came very well done. It was too dry. The orzo has no taste at all. No salt. Just mushy rice pasta. No water refill. Below par food. $ 100 check. Really?! Sigh… I hope tomorrow is a better food day.

In my opinion, there are very few places you can have a high quality meal at w/all the touristy places in Orlando. Greek Flame Taverna is definitely an exception. If you’re in the mood for Greek food, you must try this! The ambiance is intimate, quiet, and a great place for a date night. They have indoor/outdoor seating w/heaters outside if it’s a chilly night. The service was friendly and quick w/prices appropriate for what you were getting. I ordered the special… crab stuffed, bacon wrapped chicken. It was as mouthwatering delicious as it sounds. A little more pricey than other menu items at $ 28, but worth it. My hubs had the spanakopita and cousin had the pita platter. Both enjoyed their meals and we all enjoyed the saganaki appetizer to start. We will definitely return here when we’re feeling Greek! :)

I meant to come here first but I went to Flame Kabob in the same plaza by mistake, and it was a mistake. Greek Flame Taverna is a quaint spot. We went around 4pm and we were the only people there. There is outdoor seating, nice when weather permits. We had the calamari, gyro platter, and baklava. Fried Calamari: ok, just ok Gyro Platter: Excellent! The platter consisted of salad, fries, gyro meat, pita and a side of tzatziki. The platter was very good and I loved the tzatziki and the hand cut fries. Overall: Great place, a little pricey but one of the best gyros in the area. Oh, and your breath will reek but who cares! I will return.
