Was probably one of the worst experiences at a restaurant I ever had. Which is sad because the sushi was delicious. There were two tables in the restaurant with people. It was dead. The server walked past us several times without ever saying hello or that she would be right with us. After making us wait for about 10 to 15 minutes she asked us if we were ready to order. No, Hello or Welcome. I said how about starting with something to drink if that’s OK. Menu had no drinks listed. She ignored us the rest of the meal. At the end when it came time to pay the check we waited another 10 minutes after she brought my to go box. She insisted that we write the tip on the check before she run our card. Said it was a new«terminal». I’m guessing she sensed she wouldn’t be getting a good tip. Her attitude was horrible. Never in my life have I left a restaurant without tipping. Today I did not tip. I couldn’t believe how bad the service was. I’ll never go back.

We love this place. The staff is very attentive and most importantly, friendly. The place have few booths, tables and a Sushi Bar. We typically enjoy having our meal by the Sushi bar to keep it entertained with the chefs. The food is delicious and we never got disappointed. This winter a Hot sake was a plus plus during our meal.

After just moving here from Vegas finding good restaurants has not been easy. This establishment served fresh, delectable plates. My husband loved his salmon teriyaki I had the deluxe sashimi. The choices of fish was lovely but the portion size was half of Vegas. Guess I will have to get used to Orlando food. Service was outstanding. We will be back!

Decent Rolls overall, ordered the Orgasm roll which was baked and packed with flavor, definitely recommend. Miso soup was a little too misoey, but ok nonetheless. Ordered the Chicken Teriyaki, but it seemed like that was just chicken that was dipped in Teriyaki sauce instead of being marinated, still flavorful but was expecting more.

Delicious food, great dessert, cool inner design. We got a few rolls(spicy yellowtail, dynamite, sweet potato, goldigger, to name a few). All very good. Garlic butter edamame was tops. Had fried banana and cheesecake for dessert, both of which were good. I’m docking stars because of the service. The waitress was rushed and rude. I was pretty hangry at her, I have to admit. But once the edamame set in I realized she was the only server and busser in the restaurant. I strongly blame the ownership. Places like this tend to skimp on staff for higher profit margins, which I find quite disgusting. I hope she finds a better place to work soon. All in all, great food but bad service. Come here if you’re picking up food or don’t have much time. In and out is best

An awful experience. Took 45 minutes to get our meals on the table and it was definitely the worst Katsu Don and worst ramen I got from my whole life. Literally. How the hell did this restaurant get 4 stars? Can’t understand it.

We have been here four times so far. We have always had a good meal. We had the salmon roll, yellow tail, baby octopus, and eel rolls, and spider roll. I really loved the yellow tail because the fish was so fresh and the chive really shows through. We have had some of our rolls fall apart because the rice was not sticky enough but this has not happened each time we have been there. We plan to go back again.

I love and always have loved Nagoya Sushi in Dr. Phillips! It’s a very quiet and relaxing little gem hidden in the back of the dr. Phillips plaza. I highly recommend!

I’ve been coming here for over 10 years. Nagoya is my favorite sushi spot in Orlando and the best that you can find. I always order the tiger roll and volcano roll.

Food: 2⁄10 Service: 6⁄10 Value: 5⁄10 Ambience: 6⁄10 First date with my girlfriend, and it was the beginning of the worst weekend ever. The place was a hard to find and looked every shady. I went to the bathroom out back and was greeted by an awkward looking employee propping open the back door. The interior was small and cozy. The entrée names were definitely creative and amusing. I reckoned the owner must be young and pervy with a sense of humor. The food itself was horrible, however. The Gold Digger we ordered tasted and smelled really funny in a bad and rancid way. I had to hold my breath while forcing myself to finish it. Everything else were sub-par to average. I was not satisfied with the meal, but my girlfriend insisted that it wasn’t too bad. Boy, she could not be more wrong. The next day, I came down with a stomach flu. Later that night and all day after that, my girlfriend was out cold with the same bug for the whole day. We had to cancel our trip to Busch Garden and took turns going to the bathroom. If you do decided to dine here, do stock up with some Pepto-Bismol just in case and thank me later.

First time here and this place had the best sushi! it’s hidden but so glad my friend suggested it for lunch. Prices are good, place is cute inside and really liked the selection. Servers were nice. I would come back for sure next time I’m in dr. Phillips area.

This place is a hidden gem! Located in the Dr. Phillips area is a sushi restaurant that offers the best sushi in the area! I came for a birthday dinner and we feasted on the many options of sushi available. If you love saki I would definitely recommend this place! My only complaint is the size of the restaurant, but I was told they have another restaurant in the Casselberry area. Fun fact: if you come here enough, you’ll get your own personal chopsticks!

You’re currently reading a review for the overall best sushi place in Orlando. Me and my girlfriend had 4 rolls and for one thing, each one was accurately described. They were each extremely unique and each had a different kind of texture and style. For the best possible description, see my pictures. Pictures include — chicken tempura roll(our only terrestrial roll), the Fish Kettle(made with some kind of awesome chile oil), the Volcano(easily 3oz of tuna or more), and the Spicy Crispy(interesting). We also had two entrees. I didn’t get a picture of her sesame chicken with rice combo but it was incredible for the $ 8 they charge. I got the lunch tempura udon noodle bowl(pictured) and it came with about 8 completely different tempuraed items.

Nagoya is tucked away in the back of an elaborate strip mall so it is quite hard to find. But when you finally enter, the servers are friendly and courteous and their food is very good. We certainly enjoyed our dinner here. The best part about dining at Nagoya was that 1) it was a reunion with an uncle who my sister hadn’t seen in over 2 years and 2) we were also dining with a culinary student. Which means we left the ordering up to him and ate everything on our plates! Fresh fish, unique pairings of sauces and ingredients, but still offering the traditional items that one would expect from a sushi restaurant. Nagoya is an easy over-all crowd pleaser with fast, courteous service and clean restrooms(always important, right ladies?). If you can find the place, this is a good sushi spot!

Good service, however I was not impressed with their food. We ordered orgasm rolls and a salmon bento box. Orgasm rolls turned out to be ok, not living up to its name, a one night experience and glad it was over quickly. I still prefer Amura or Aki’s sushi rolls, don’t think I’ll go back to Nagoya again.

My friend and I came for dinner one night. We ordered a few sushi rolls but kept seeing bowls of tempura udon soup go by. It looked so delicious we ordered one too and shared it. The sushi was very good. Fresh and flavorful. however, the soup was the hit of the night. I usually see tempura udon soup with a couple shrimp sticks already in it, but they brought an entire tempura appetizer on the side and we were able to include what we wanted in the soup. it was so good we came back the next day and each ordered a soup for lunch. I wish I was in town long enough to get there one last time before I left.

Well, I have a real dilemma now. My wife and I regularly make the tough decision between Seito Sushi or Dragonfly sushi in Dr. Phillips when we have our regular sushi night. After a friend recommended we try Nagoya, we did and we were pleasantly surprised by yet another gem of a Sushi restaurant in restaurant row. The rolls we had were absolutely fantastic. If you like a cooked roll go for the orgasm. If you like something raw, fresh and a bit different go for the Rainbow Press. We also had the sashimi deluxe and everything on the plates was fresh, vibrant and delicious. So our dilemma now is we have yet a 3rd Sushi joint to choose from when heading into Dr Phillips. #1stWorldProblems people. It’s off the beaten path a bit and certainly doesn’t have the posh décor of the other two I mentioned above, but in terms of food quality it’s easily up there and possibly even better due to selection alone. It’s definitely worth a visit.

Seafood Crush, Short Ribs, Orgasm Roll, EBI Tempura w/fried rice, Banana Tempura; That list was fun and all delicious. Note the $ 9.72(18% tip) was auto-added I’ll presume due to the discount coupon($ 25 = $ 50). Arkar provided worthy attention all the same.
