The menu is not only traditional rolled sushi, but there is also a selection of sushi tacos and hand rolls, also known as temaki. Temaki takes the starring role here, nori wrapped in a large cone shape stuffed with ingredients similar to that of a sushi roll. I ordered the Salmon Skin Temaki and it was amazing. The roll was stuffed with rice, salmon skin tempura and eel sauce. I enjoyed it so much that I ended up ordering a second one. Mr. Beet and I both started with a salad which really was nothing special– just a handful of lettuce and cucumbers drizzled with ginger sauce. We also shared a Vegetarian Roll — carrots, cucumbers and cream cheese wrapped in nori and rice. The sushi roll itself was decent, the same as most places. However, in addition to the temaki, Hand Roll Sushi also has a great selection of tacos. Anything that can be made into a roll or temaki can also be turned into a taco. In our case we kept it simple with the Salmon and Cream Cheese Taco and the Tuna Taco. The combination of the crunchy shells and fresh fish was unexpected and refreshing. Hand Roll Sushi is definitely worth a visit when a craving of sushi hits. However, just be mindful of what you are ordering, everything is a la carte and your bill can add up pretty quickly. But you will want to save room for a few of those Temakis.

The rolls were small and bland. Overpriced. :(was hoping this place would become a regular for quick sushi but don’t think I’d come here again.

Best temaki I ever had in the U.S. The rolls are just awesome. And the fish really fresh. O melhor temaki que eu já comi nos EUA. O sushi roll estava fantástico. E o peixe super fresco.

If I could give 0 stars I would! HORRIBLE!!! They got my order wrong AND over charged me. They told me to come back the next day and would make my order again since I had to throw away my other order bc they put something on in allergic to and I had asked for it not to be. It was just gross, I don’t think they get fresh fish everyday like a place who has more traffic. I wouldn’t eat here again if it was free

This was the first time I tried Brazilian sushi and it was awesome! I got two temakis and two sushi tacos. That’s right, sushi tacos. They have a BOGO special on Monday and Friday and supposedly a buffet on Saturday and Sunday.

If you have any respect for yourself as a paying customer, do not support this business. GOTONYPD instead. The food and service is amazing. This is the 2nd time I’ve ordered from them through Unilocal(eat24) where they advertise delivery and the second time I’ve been denied that service. The first time it occurred I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went willingly to pick up my order which was not exceptionally tasty. I ordered sushi and just assumed this may not be their forte despite their name. The second time they called and told me they could not deliver again. I found this very frustrating but had already ordered and waited so decided I would just pick it up again begrudgingly. I asked the man on the phone how long before I should pick up and he stated, «it depends on what you ordered» I answered a salmon rice dish and noodle shrimp dish, not remembering their menu names. He replied«well if you don’t know what you ordered I can’t tell you…» They had received my order so the fact I was questioned in such a way really rubbed me the wrong way. Arrived at the restaurant 15 mins later where the sushi chef was standing in front of half made sushi, typing on his cell phone. I attempted to get his attention a couple times but was never greeted. There was only one person in the restaurant and 2 people«working»…frankly the service is rude and uninviting. The kitchen entrees weren’t spectacular either. This will be the last time I order from them, if they even remain in business for long I’d be flabbergasted.

Best sashimi and variety of dishes I have seen around. After living abroad as well as trying many of the great restaurants Orlando has — this friendly, casual, fresh and well-appointed neighborhood place was surprisingly a notch above the norm. The chef suggested the addition of some fresh octopus to try alongside the gorgeous display of fruits with the many types of sashimi and seaweed. It all tasted amazing. I ordered some beef noodles and tempura vegetables as takeaway for my family and both portions were hearty and flavorful, also relished beautifully. This was definitely a great, healthy place to eat; also with call ahead & takeaway for those times you can’t eat out.

Brazilian-style sushi. Yep. Go there for the Temaki Sushi. Tried six. All great. Favorites were Chefs, Spicy Tuna and Hot Philadelphia. Healthy, delicious and super friendly. We will be back.

TERRIBLE. ABSOLUTELYTERRIBLE. Service was terrible, food was not worth what i paid. The portion sizes are much smaller then what you’d get from a standard carry out. The sushi tasted bland and and shrimp fried rice has cut up pieces of shrimp tempura instead of regular shrimp. We called and asked for delivery and they claimed they«weren’t doing delivery today» as if they only delivery on certain days. Definitely a huge disappointment.

Overrated! Called them to order food. It says they deliver on Unilocal but when we called they said they weren’t delivering tonight. What place of business delivers intermittently? We ordered sushi and fried rice with shrimp. The portions were not worth what we paid for them. The avocado on the Mexican roll I ordered looked like it was a day past when it should have been used. When we got there, the place was empty; just two dudes sitting around. They could have totally delivered. As far as taste, it was mediocre, and that’s being nice. The sushi fell apart as soon as I attempted to pick it up. All in all, poor experience.

Great little hole-in-the-wall in Metrowest! Small restaurant, but very clean and modern-looking. This place is actually Brazilian-style sushi. Sounds different, I know, but I’m very picky when it comes to sushi, and this place was amazing! Prices are really reasonable, and they have a great lunch special. I ordered the sushi lunch special: Mexican Roll, Crunch Roll(amazing) and miso soup. They don’t give you the small sushi rolls that come along with most lunch specials either; you definitely get more than what you pay for. They also gave us a punch card(every 10 lunches — get 1 free). I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone willing to try something other than traditional sushi.

The quality of their fish is great. My family and I had the«all you can eat» special for 19.95(I think). They have selected menu items that make up the«all you can eat» menu, with raw and cooked rolls, hand rolls, noodles and tempura veggies. Although the all you can eat selection is limited, they also have the al le cart option as well, if you don’t want the«all you can eat.» The family left full and happy and would go back again. Note: the food is served buffet style(which I’m not accustom to), so you go up to the bar and serve yourself, but don’t this bother you, like I had said already the fish is great. I can’t wait to explore more of their menu.

This attractive sushi restaurant is a nice addition to the neighborhood. It may be the first sushi restaurant I’ve been to that seems to not be run by Asians, so I approached with some skepticism, but we had a nice lunch here. I started with a small salad with very crisp cold greens and a nice dressing, somewhat lighter but more complex than the traditional ginger dressing. Their twist on sushi is that they also offer tacos. I wondered what a sushi taco would be like, but it turns out it’s just a regular crispy corn tortilla shell filled with whatever sushi item you select. I tried the tuna taco, and the tuna quality was excellent. The crunchy taco pretty much instantly self destructed, but the combination was good. The real highlights here are the«Temaki» hand rolls, though. My salmon skin hand roll was the best I’ve had anywhere, and I’ve had a lot of them: plenty of crispy salmon skin with some flavorful meat still attached, well mixed with the rice so I didn’t run out of salmon skin as I ate my way to the bottom of the well-stuffed roll. Lunch here includes your choice of any two items from an extensive list of tacos, hand rolls and conventional maki rolls, plus soup or salad, all for $ 8.95. An excellent deal. I plan to return and explore some of the other menu options in the future.
