The food was good! Came to the place because we were near the area and im an avid seafood lover! The way they fry their food is perfection! The seasoning and everything was spot on! We had the fried platter for two and the gumbo. We will visit again when we are in the area as we live a good 40 mins away from here!

This place was just absolutely amazing. Barely no wait time. Friendly and warm staff. Clean environment. And best of all, the food was just absolutely delightful. A must go to spot for a casual and great meal.

Unilocal has never failed me. This place was amazing. The medium spice Cajun sauce was perfect for my spicy meter. Nice small little joint that I will definitely try again. We got the Combo #2 and that was the perfect amount of food for two people. Barbara was very personable and gave great recommendations. I will be returning to this place and I recommend you try this place out!

Went with my sis, for dinner was was happy with it. It is a small place on Hwy 50 with about 10 tables inside. My sis got the combo of crab legs, clams, crawfish with the hit seasoning and she loved it. Myself I got the clams, sausage, corn and potato in medium broth. I really enjoyed it, the only thing I would say is use a different type of sausage. Each meal is cooked when you order it. Recommend getting the French bread to sop up the juice. We ended dinner with beignets bites which comes with 16 per order and was yummy. The lady who took our order was very nice and friendly. This place has the wow factor and will be back. I do believe the name changed to icajun.

We were in Orlando on vacation, often will work hard and research hard to find small, local places to eat. This one was much further from our condo that we normally are willing to go! Some of our family got a little frustrated on the drive there, but when we arrived, it was more disappointing, yes, it is a rundown strip, next door to Firehouse Subs. We really wanted seafood, so we agreed to give it a try! As other reviews said, the owner cheerfully greeted us and explained the menu. Five adults ordered, with a bucket of premium beers for less than $ 100, great value! Waited about 10 – 15 min for food, and it was TOTALLYWORTH the drive, the money and ALL! One couple had the fried platter for 2 and one got the Cajun Platter for 2 Med, it was fantastic! If you are looking for some great, spicy seafood, take to time to go to iCajun! Really, really good seafood and owners super nice!

As I am not the owner, but know the family well, I would like to apologize to Jan and any one who has ran into issues of the shop being closed yesterday 12/19/2015 and today. There has been an uncontrolled emergency that has led the closing of the shop for a few days. The owner has put their heart and soul to service their beloved customers… you. To see a one star rating comment when we know how hard they work is disheartening. Please understand the closing of the store is due to unforseen sad event and is not taken lightly. The store will have additional details regarding its opening very shortly. Thank you for your understanding at this time. Gob bless and may your holiday season be blessed with great health and filled with joy.

I went today and was very excited to try the food after reading a few reviews. The woman behind the counter was very cheerful and helpful, which is always pleasant. The food is made to order and it was colder than I hoped, but I suppose that can’t be helped when the option of dining-in is not so appealing as the building itself is very small. I love spicy food. I ordered Combo #2 Hot. It was more than enough to feed two adults, but it was not spicy, in my opinion. The potatoes are rather small and the corn is on the larger side. Everything was cooked well, but not seasoned well enough to satisfy my version of Cajun food. The garlic was bitter, too. I’m okay with biting into some garlic on occasion, but this was very unpleasant and I’m not sure why. Perhaps the garlic was on the edge of going bad. Every now and then I got a very bitter taste in my mouth and I could only conclude that it came from near-rancid garlic. A friend also ordered the fried shrimp and potato wedges. The potato wedges were kind of bland, but the battered and fried butterfly shrimp were flavored well, not greasy and overall very good. I understand that seafood is a luxury, but the price was more than I felt was appropriate for food that wasn’t that great. Perhaps their smaller dishes come out better as the possibility of under-seasoning is easier to avoid, but that’s just a guess. Don’t visit if you expect spicy Cajun food.

There is a surprisingly large number of cajun joints in Orlando, but this is the first one in East Orlando. On the menu, you’ll find the usual suspects: poboys, seafood buckets, crabs, and crawfish. We ordered two poboys, which were fantastic. We definitely plan to return for one of their larger platters. Overall the service was fast and very friendly. Their location is small, with room for maybe 20 seats, but is well laid out and nicely decorated. A great option for cajun lovers.

Simple, humble, and delicious! Pier 407, now known as «iCajun» for some reason, is a small little place in a rundown strip mall. Pulling in, we were afraid that the place may be gone. Walking in, we were immediately greeted by the owner, who explained the menu and described her favorites and suggestions. They do take out here, so this is a great place if you want to grab food for a party, but since it’s so small, there’s not really room if you wanted to come with a group. We chose to order a pound of clams with corn and potatoes, and a pound of crawfish with corn, potatoes, and an egg. I’m not entirely sure if our wait was due to us being there so close to opening, or if they steam everything to order, but we waited about 15 minutes for our food. Not a big deal, as we weren’t in a hurry, but this may not be the best place for you if you’re in a rush. But why would you want to rush cajun food in the first place? I really enjoyed my clams, but as I worried, I was still hungry afterwards since much of the weight is from the shells. My wife really enjoyed her crawfish as well. The only thing that wasn’t a real hit was the boiled egg. It’s just boiled so long that it was overcooked. Overall, not the best cajun we’ve had, but very good, and all for a pretty reasonable price.

As other reviews have stated, they have changed their name to iCajun. I was in town for a girl lunch with close friends and was craving crawfish, so chose this place based on the reviews. It did not disappoint! The crawfish were HUGE and flavorful. The potato wedges were with panko breading which gave it an addictive quality. Everything was SOGOOD. Service was extremely friendly and helpful! Looking for some good seafood? COMEHERE!

If you want down ‘n’ dirty seafood, this is your place. I have come here at least 10 times so it is time to write a review. Service is usually quick and friendly. You order at the counter then pick a table to sit. The food take awhile to get to our table. There are three things you can choose: type of seafood, type of sauce, and spiciness level. By the way there are combo you can pick too. I ordered both 1lb of shrimp and 1lb of snow crab with all the sauce with medium heat and a side of gumbo and french bread. It is a must to get the bread and dip it in the sauce! The food came out perfectly cooked. Nothing was every overcooked. The sauce is plentiful & delicious and the seafood is fresh! Lastly, you should definitely wear a bib and be ready to get messy! Sauce and shells everywhere. Good food! Definitely going to visit again. The best part is that I don’t have to drive all the way to Mills 50 area anymore. My only complain it that they always forget to give me a bib and also plates. I think it is due to under-staffing but please give me and my guest plates! Note: This is what Vietnamese think Cajun food should taste like. Don’t complain if it isn’t like Tibby’s. =)

It’s really nice to have a new seafood joint close to home! Originally we went to New Orleans Seafood on Aloma, but they were closed during their open hours… strange… So we decided to give this new spot a try. We were very glad that we did! They are in the works of changing their name to ICajun, so be on the lookout for that. The first thing we noticed when entering was that the owners are extremely warm and friendly, compared to some of the other cajun seafood restaurants around town. Between my fiancée and I, we shared a gumbo, two and a half pounds of crawfish(with potatoes and corn), and a fried fish platter. A pair of our friends shared six pounds of crawfish! If you buy five, you get one pound for free. The gumbo was on the thicker side, instead of soupy. It was almost like a gravy. Both my fiancée and I thought that the gumbo was a bit too thick for our tastes. It’s a matter of preference though. Besides the consistency of the gumbo, the flavor was bold and tasty. Now on to the crawdaddies… these were the highlight of the meal. Although we ordered the frozen crawfish, they were huge! Each tail had a very nice amount of meat. Out of all the places in Orlando, that I’ve been to these were the largest crawfish I’ve ever had. The owner told us specifically that she tries to order the largest frozen crawfish and that sometimes they are even larger than the live ones she gets. The fried fish basket was pretty good. Very moist and tender fried fish served with panko crusted potato wedges. This location has had a few different restaurants within the past few years, so I hope to see ICajun/Pier 407 last here!

The seafood is so delicious here! I was totally indifferent about checking out another cajun seafood restaurant, but my awesome buddy, Nelson M., highly recommended them! The food and service here spanks other similar restaurants to shame! I ordered the combo #3 at mild, with garlic butter, and some extra corn. Honestly, THE best seafood combo meal you will ever order! The order includes: crab legs, whole shrimps, crawfish, clams, and 2 pieces of corn/potato. The seafood itself was super fresh and cooked to the right texture. The sauce at the bottom of the pan packed so much flavor that I actually ladled some of that sauce back onto my peeled seafood. Yes, I am fully aware of my fatty patty move, but the sauce is something else! One thing to note is that I ordered my food to go and actually brought it to a dinner gathering in Kissimmee. The food was packed perfectly so that nothing leaked and it was still warm when I arrived to my destination. Total dinner to go win! Another reason why this place rocks is because of the owner. From the moment my bf placed our to go order; she had him laughing with her endearing comments. Once we picked up our food we saw that it was a mom and daughter duo. The charismatic owner left such a lasting first impression, and we weren’t even there for that long! Awesome place, check it out!

Wow, wow, wow! This place is great! If you’re tired of unseasoned shellfish and seafood(I’m looking at you, Red Lobster), you’ve gotta try Pier 407. I recommend the mild seasoning, as it has a nice kick. They can always make it spicier if you like. I was surprised to find that their simple fried fish packed a lot of flavor, as did the potato wedges. If you go, be sure to check out the daily specials. I think this might be my new seafood spot.

So apparently three weeks ago a new Cajun/Seafood place opened up in the perhaps«foodie”-ignored area of East Colonial in the parking lot shared with Boardwalk Bowl. A friend suggested the place because it was owned by a friend but being so close to where I live, I was more than willing to check it out. To begin, me and my friends are crawfish fanatics. If there’s a place serving crawfish in Orlando, we’ve probably been there. The majority of those places have been closer to downtown or even by International, which is a long(but well worth it) trip to get mudbugs, french bread, corn, potatoes, and the many other wonders of the waters into our empty stomachs. Pier 407 is located next to the Firehouse Subs right on East Colonial, where an older Indian spot used to be. Seating here is very limited, so you may want to be cautious coming here with a large group. Keep it between 4 – 6 and you’ll be good, otherwise you may have problems with finding seating or may make it inconvenient for other customers. You’ll also order at the counter first, as opposed to sitting down to be waited on. If you’ve read my other reviews, you know I have a small issue with this because of how it affects tipping. Bring cash, so that you can tip afterwards. Being my first trip, I felt it would be a good idea to sample it all. They had two specials at the time, one which was fit for a single person with ½lb of crab legs, ½lb of shrimp, and ½ of crawfish and another with 1lb of crab legs, 1lb of shrimp, and 2lbs of crawfish. I split this with three people and also ordered a french bread to go with it. In addition, we got a side of the hotter sauce since one of our friends wasn’t a fan of spice. No big deal, dipping adds to the experience, right? I usually have lower expectations for frozen crawfish but I was very much surprised by what came out. Everything was delicious. The crawfish were nicely size, the shrimp were delicious, and the crab tasted fresh. I would honestly order each of these things on their own in larger amounts but being able to alternate between three of my favorite things was an enjoyable experience and I’m pretty confident that I can do so and be happy with what I receive. To end it, we got the beignets, which the owner explained that they were cut into bite sized pieces to make them easier to share, a very thoughtful idea as we split them between 6 of us. Careful though, as powdered sugar can be inhaled pretty easily and will turn you into the center of laughter at the table. Either way, don’t be skeptical. Pier 407 is a great spot to get your crawfish fix. The staff is nice, the food is great, and if you’re on the east side like I am, rejoice, as you no longer have to drive longer than 30 minutes to get your seafood fix.

Pier 407 is a new Cajun and seafood restaurant recently opened on East Colonial just west of Rouse Road. It’s a family owned and operated restaurant that«strives to serve authentic Louisiana cuisine at affordable prices.» I dropped by recently to eat dinner with family and friends and was charmed by the friendly owners and their family. I guess you can add this to the list of many Vietnamese owned Cajun restaurants around town, many who have started after leaving Louisiana in the midst of Hurricane Katrina’s destructive wake. They did a great job remodeling the space, which was rather sparse before with a few posters of Indian films, now the space has as an urban, rustic harbor warehouse feel. The menu is hand-written, quite decoratively, on a chalk board, listing out their seafood dishes and specials from fried to steamed, po boy sandwiches, gumbo and jambalaya. The jambalaya was hearty and flavorful, yet somehow reminiscent of fried rice — delicious all the same. I noticed the seasonings here give the seafood a more fresh taste, less heavy handed as some places can be. We ordered the $ 19.95 special that can with queen crab legs, crawfish, and shrimp. We also ordered the fried shrimp platter and the awesome mini beignet desserts. Really enjoyed the fried shrimp, but especially enjoyed the delightful panko crusted and seasoned fried potatoes that accompanied them. It’s open from 3pm till 9pm daily now, but they hope to expand to lunch hours in the future.

I think Pier 407 just hit a home run with this place. My first experience was a great one! Pier 407 is a new small New Orleans seafood spot in pretty run down plaza on 50 east colonial. Although the location is not exactly the best, the interior is very cozy and even has a great nautical feel. It’s not tacky but cute and adorable. They did a lovely job with their renovations. The shop gives the customers the options to order togo or sit down. However, I want to warn you, theres only 4 – 54-top tables so don’t bring your friends and family plus your cousins. It’s great for 2 or 4 friends ready to chow down. While I was there, a lot of people actually ordered togo. Its counter service but the nice gentleman brought the food out to our table. They offer all my faves seafood in their cajun garlic sauce such as shrimp, crawfish and even snow crab. The special for the day was a combo of half pound each of shrimp(headon or off — I prefer them on), crawfish, and snow crab($ 19.99). For a dollar more, they’ll add a corn and potato in there. I also like to get a side of french bread($ 1) to sop up all the sauce on the bottom of the pan. I was anxiously waiting for the food to come out because I was really hoping this place would be as good or better than some of the other places in town. When he brought out the tray of the combo, it looked divine with all the garlic and the waft of cajun spices kisses my faces. I was happy. The seafood was fresh! The crawfish was not frozen and the shrimp heads had all the juices. Even the snow crab was surprisingly large. Their cajun garlic sauce was not just old bay but had other spices too. I definitely will be back another time. (BTW its kind of obvious but past the door that says«Private Dock» are the bathrooms, just go on ahead but if you don’t need to use them, the sink is just outside for you to clean up)
