Stopped by here last night before returning home for the night. Woke up at 4AM violently ill. I was up all night, sick as a dog. 20 minutes after I got up, my husband got up and was sick. We were miserable all night, it’s 3:00PM and I am still miserable. FOODPOISONING… Not how I wanted to spend my day. Thank god I am local because I would be really upset if this happened when I am trying to enjoy a vacation. We called the the restaurant to let them know in hopes to save someone from experiencing what we did, but the girl on the line said she couldn’t find a manager… I work in the restaurant industry and if this happened at my restaurant they would be running to the phone to get any details they can to prevent it from happening from someone else and be concerned about the person who is sick. SO, if you are reading this, maybe scope other options because I am doubting they really know there is some sort of a contaminate in their food… I will update if I hear anything but for now I’ll leave this here, because if they haven’t narrowed down what it is there’s a possibility it could happen to you.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this freaking restaurant! No matter what state I travel to I always try and stop by one of their locations! I am a big fan of the themed«it’s 5 o’clock somewhere restaurant!» The chocolate banana Daiquiri is absolutely amazing! No it’s not a drink that’s gonna get you drunk but it is a drink you can have no where else! The flavor is amazing! I mean chocolate and banana, can you go wrong??? You also have the option of drinking it in a souvenir glass that you can take home! Which I did :) Their food is so good! I love spicy so I go for the volcano burger and man is that burger worth it! I truly look forward to coming to this location and I will go to it every day and have a drink while I am in town! The souvenir shop is located right next store and their swag is def something you will want to take a peak at! I guarantee something will come home with you!!! I got a key chain today and a magnet! The lady at the counter was so friendly and inquired about where I was from and we had a very pleasant conversation! Hands down my favorite restaurant in the world!!! Forget high end fine dining!!! Flip flops, ripped jeans, margaritas and tropical food!!! I would take that over a 50.00 steak and al a carts sides!!! Much love to this place :)

We stopped in for lunch while visiting Universal Studios. I got the fish tacos and they were excellent. My boyfriend had a big juicy burger. We also had a few fancy drinks. We sat outside with a view of the water where they offer a water taxi for a couple of the hotels there. I have never been to a Margaritaville before, but I would definitely go back!

Just putting this out there. If you can agree with someone to have the nachos for lunch and split them, you will both be put into a food induced coma with plenty left over. They are packed with goodies. I think the bottom of the plate was even layered with cheese and chili. I might ask for extra jalapeños next time, but that’s the only change I’d make. I have had the volcano burger before and it was amazing… Sloppy, but amazing.

Very busy, as are all these restaurants @ U.S. Was pleasantly surprised w/the short 15 min. wait for a party of 9, on such a busy day. Food & service were both acceptable. However, everyone was sooo hungry @ this point, it didn’t take much to satisfy???

I love Margaritaville. I did not love Margaritaville my last trip here. We spent all day at Universal in the sun and found a nice shady spot at the rail overlooking the water. It was busy because it’s 5 o’clock somewhere, but it was not overwhelmingly busy. There were still seats available. We waited 10 minutes at the back rail in no real hurry and when nobody came to us, my husband went to the bar to order where he was told by the bartender a waiter should be working the area. We waited another 10 minutes with no sign, so he went back up and he said the bartender was a bit impatient with him. The waiter came quickly after that and took our drink orders and still 15 minutes later; nothing. In the meantime; everyone around us was getting served their drinks… even folks who were there after us. We just picked up and left. I don’t think the waiter even noticed us leaving. We saw him as we were heading out. I felt bad wasting a frozen drink(Was it even made yet? Who knows?! Forgive me margarita gods) but we instead found a Fat Tuesdays and were served immediately. Will try again next time I suppose. Maybe the guy was having a rough day but I think two stars is appropriate for our experience.

I know it’s a cheesy tourist trap and the food is nothing too exciting, but I love it. I love the atmosphere, the drinks, and the music. I could sit here all day and listen to a dude with a guitar singing Jimmy Buffett songs. It’s like a world away from the theme parks and I can almost pretend there’s a beach nearby. After a very long day touring all that Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure has to offer, we ended the day here on the deck just after dark. I ordered the Last Mango in Paris and my husband ordered the Who’s to Blame margarita. $ 10.75/each. Delicious drinks and they go down way too quickly. For food we started with the white cheddar cheese curds($ 10.99) which were fine. They cooled off very quickly though and got kinda chewy. You know I’ll eat ‘em anyway. I ordered the coconut shrimp with sweet potato fries($ 20.98) and my husband had the fish tacos($ 17.99). The shrimp were large and tasty and the fish tacos were good. They tasted almost exactly like Rubio’s original fish tacos. The black beans that came with the tacos were really tasty. I don’t know what they seasoned those with, but we ended up passing those beans back and forth. The total after tax was $ 76.21. We’ve done our duty and had our overpriced tourist meal. I would still come back. Always enjoy Margaritaville.

Ok go with me: I know this is a touristy chain restaurant but as far as touristy chain restaurants go, this place is a four-star!(I believe in rating like with like). Located in the heart of Universal City Walk, Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville is a reliable place to snag a solid burger or grab a drink on your way into the park and/or on your way over to the other park. I doubt you’ll see many locals here but what you’ll see is fellow exhausted tourists grubbing down on glorified bar food, and there is nothing wrong with that! For my fellow Veg-Heads they’ll gladly sub in their veggie patty on any burger/sandwich you’d like. I had the volcano burger(veggiefied) and I was a happy boy. They have a great patio and indoor seating and their bar area has an awesome volcano with a lights and sounds show every so often.(Pro Tip: seating at the bar is first come first serve so during peak wait times this knowledge could serve you well). While I was there there were people walking around the patio on stilts, plenty of fun being had by all, and of course Jimmy Buffett’s music blaring with occasional dance breaks. This place is loud and touristy and fun! Don’t forget to snap a pic of you recreating the classic Margarita Man from«Jurassic World» for added fun and joy to your dining experience.

So we love Jimmy Buffett! Stopped in this evening for dinner while at universal. The only reason we stayed was the ambience and the live music. We are suckers for both, I wish we would have gone elsewhere. We try to avoid chain restaurants but we figured this one might be different, we were wrong. The service was very good, the music was great, but the food lacked! We sat out on the patio area to enjoy the weather and music. We started with the jerk boneless wings. They were just okay, it was overwhelming sweet, like a barbecue sauce. They were drenched in this sauce. Not what we were expecting. As for entrees, my wife ordered the mahi special blackened. It came with rice pilaf and green beans. She said both were great but the fish was over cooked. I tried it and it was really dry. I ordered the carne tacos, they were tacos, nothing special. The disappointing part was the steak, it tasted funny. Needless to say, I only ate one. For $ 85.00 I was highly disappointed, left hungry. Sad, but we’re still a fan of Jimmy’s music. 3 starts strictly for the ambience.

Nice ambiance everything is beach themed. The tables were decorated with fishing rods, boat wheels and sails. There is a main stage in the middle of the restaurant and a 2 man band was taking song recommendations. They did pretty well and were very entertaining. Service was good bit was busy and it seemed understaffed. Props tho to Our waitress whose recommendation saved our bellies. We were about to get entrees AND the volcano nachos but she metioned how huge they were. we were swayed and I’m glad we were! The volcano nachos were literally a mini volcano. It was a huge pile of chips, layered with gobs of nacho cheese and tomatoes, sprinkled with jalapenos and then topped with shredded cheese then melted. It was definitely delicious. I felt like we didn’t make a dent even after feeling so full. There’s no way any couple has finished that, you have to be in a party of at least 7 to have even come close… We shared a dessert shot of chocolate cake. It was basically just a bunch of icing and some cake. It was the size of about a triple shot glass. Pretty cute place. Good portions and good sized menu.

A little pricey but not bad when you eat there as part of the Movie and Dining deal for $ 21.95. Waiting for an inside table on Saturday night was almost 1 hour but they suggest to walk around to the outdoor patio where the wait is only 15 – 20 minutes. They had a live band playing and you could also catch a glimpse of the 9PM fireworks Florida residents get free parking after 6PM and when you combine it with the Movie/Dinner deal, it’s not too expensive for a Saturday dinner and a movie. and when the movie is done, there is still plenty to do at Citywalk.

Our family LOVES Jimmy Buffett(we saw him in concert last summer) and we LOVE Margaritaville. We haven’t been to this location for 11 years, so we obviously had to go again when we decided to go back to Florida this winter break. We sat at the bar to have some pre-dinner Margaritas. I had the Jalapeño marg which was AMAZING(I even decided to have a second one). My brother tried the margarita flight and enjoyed that too. After our margs, we were gonna get a table, but we enjoyed talking to our bartender Billy Ray so much that we decided to stay at the bar. Billy Ray is great!!! Ask for him if you go there. I was so impressed that they had a gluten-free menu, since I am recently intolerant. The Cheeseburger in Paradise was great(my whole family ordered that), even with the gluten-free bun. The volcano nachos were INCREDIBLE. Definitely order those(probably the best nachos I’ve ever had). The Key Lime Pie was also incredible. We finished all of the above and nearly passed out from being stuffed. Margaritaville is so much fun and has so many options! It’s a must-go when in Orlando. Can’t wait to go back!

Recently dined here for a group event dinner. The food was served buffet style, but offered a variety of items… THEGOOD… –staff was attentive –balcony outside is nice –key lime pie was pretty good THEBAD… –breaded Mahi didn’t taste great –bruschetta bread wasn’t toasted enough –vegetable medley wasn’t that good –grilled squash was too soft Overall, I wasn’t expecting great food as most chain restaurants are sub par in my opinion. I’m sure you could do a lot worse within City Walk…

Margaritaville is a chain restaurant. They have them all over the place. I’ve also been to the one in Key West and in Vegas. This version of Margaritaville is large with seating both indoors and outdoors, upstairs and downstairs. However, just because it is large doesn’t mean there won’t be a wait. We arrived last week at about 4pm. There were lots of empty tables, but it still took about 15 minutes for them to seat us, a party of 5, indoors. The atmosphere here is pretty fun. Every hour or ½ hour they play Volcano and a volcano of margaritas erupt. They play a lot of Jimmy Buffett music obviously, but they play a lot of country music too. I heard 3 Zac Brown Band songs while we were there the other day. Margaritas are their specialty, and they are good, but not outstanding. I had the margarita sampler flight. The Mango was my favorite. It had the most unique flavor. The blueberry was my least favorite. It was too sweet. The blue one was sort of blah and the standard one was just that, standard. They used to do a prickly pear margarita, but unfortunately I did not see that as an option this time. My bf had Planter’s Punch which was good, but not great. They used to have really good fried pickles here and I was quite disappointed that they no longer do. The Cheeseburger in Paradise is served just as the song says, «lettuce and tomato, Heinz 57, and French fried potatoes, big kosher pickle, and a cold draft beer…» Beer sold separately. The burger is good, but with Cowfish now right across the way I would likely go there and enjoy a large specialty burger for the same price.

After an awesome day at both parks, we wanted to grab dinner before heading back to Disney property. There aren’t a whole lot of options for a casual sit down restaurant and this one was on the way back to the taxi area, so it was an easy decision to eat here. On a Wednesday around 6pm in mid-September, this place was packed. I was told that it would be about a 20 minute wait and was handed a buzzer. I found myself a nice cozy seat in the gift shop while I waited. I was buzzed, grabbed my family and headed up the front counter. There was some confusion at the host area, since there was only one person checking people in(for buzzers) and people waiting for buzzers. I stood at the counter for a good three minutes, before someone was able to help me. She took my buzzer, but then I had to wait again for someone to escort us to our table. Once seated our waiter got our waters right away. I went with a regular cheeseburger that came with a side salad. The burger was pretty average. Definitely better than any traditional theme park burger. The best part of the restaurant was the restaurant«sing a-long» to «Margaritaville.» It’s the only Jimmy Buffett song I’m familiar with… so yay!

Service at lunch time on a Saturday was quick to my surprise. The staff was friendly and we had no issues there. The food was just OK though. There were 3 in our group and we all ordered different things(French Dip sandwich, Seafood Mac n Cheese, and Beach Tacos), and there were no oh’s and ah’s and no «you have to try this» either. The décor is old, likely one of the oldest at Universal City Walk and is in definite need of an update to hold up to their newer locations.

I went here one evening with my wife after a movie. We were told that there would be a 45 minute wait for a table. So we went to the bar. We were graciously greeted by the bartender George. Let me tell you this guy is awesome. He informed us that we could have our meal at the bar. So we promptly cancelled our notification at the front desk. My question is, why didn’t the lady at the front tell us that we could eat at the bar? A note for customer service. We were using the dinner and a movie package that they offer at Citywalk. It’s a limited menu they use for this. So my wife and I both ordered a «Cheeseburger in Paradise,» accompanied by a margarita. The hamburger was cooked to absolute perfection, and I seldom eat french fries, but they were delicious. The margarita prepared by George, was fabulous. When you go to Margaritaville, go to the bar and ask for George his service was stellar.

Love love love Jimmy Buffet. I have part parrot head in me. After all, he’s got the best tailgating parties ever. Hello!!! I always stop here when at City Walk. I have to, have to. I often buy something anything Jimmy Buffet. I stop by for a drink too. That’s my happiness when I come here. I haven’t eaten here. I always simply pass through, buy fun stuff and get a fun drink. After all, gotta drink and be merry because it’s 5 o’clock somewhere. Wish it was here!
