MAC Cosmetics

This MAC store is located on the second floor of the mall close to the food court (if you enter the mall through the food court you’ll make a right and it will be across the first walkway).
I’ve stopped in here a few times to shop and have always had a good experience, but be warned the store is always busy and crowded. There are tons of employees to help you though, so if you can work your way through all the other shoppers to a salesperson you’ll be in good hands.
This past weekend was my first time using the makeup application service at MAC and they did not disappoint. I scheduled an appointment for my daughter to have her makeup done for homecoming, and I was really expecting to have her makeup done out in the store area. At this location there is a small private room in the back where they do the makeup application. The cost for the makeup application was $ 50, which included a tube of mascara. The girl who did her makeup (I think she said her name was Kezia) did an amazing job. I mean, it was like watching an artist at work. =)
The makeup room was really small, there were just two seats for customers to have their makeup done and a small bench seat for moms to watch (I was not the only one to bring her kid for homecoming makeup).
I was so, so impressed by the make-​up application. And of course the products are amazing so my daughter’s makeup still looked flawless at the end of the night. I would totally recommend it for any special occcasion (or if you just want to look awesome for the day).

This location of the Mac store at the Millenia mall is usually quite crowded, usually with tourists. The store staff are exceedingly helpful with picking out colors and knowing what will complement your skin. Most of the staff has beautiful, sometimes outrageous, make up on, which I love. I recently visited this store to turn in my empty containers. Mac stores have an excellent recycling program where you can bring in six full-​size empty make up containers they will give you a free lipglass lip gloss, lipstick, or eyeshadow (this excludes any «Viva Glam» colors because the profits on those items are donated 100% to HIV funds). If you’re looking for any sort of special make up whether it’s natural, theatrical, or even for underwater — Mac has it covered. If you’re going to buy some products you can ask the staff to do your make up. If they have time and you buy enough products (I think $ 60 or more?) they will do your make up for you. It’s a great learning experience!
