Yeh I live right across the street and I dare say that this was probably the first headshop I visited in the area. And since then Ive only ever gone back 3 times and just about everytime Ive had a bad experience here, including one time I was asked to leave for talking about baloons in the tattoo shop area. Actually I asked a friend if they sold baloons here, and I have been visiting adult headshops for about 15yrs and I am familiar with the terminology and legalities for the most part but I have never heard that it was illegal to say baloon in a headshop, apparently it is and I had no idea and without any verbal warning or correction I was asked to leave and I did so without any hesitation. I was happy to take my business to Pipe Dreams. Anyhow everytime ive been in here Ive not been impressed with the holier than now attitude that I always encounter. Their prices are VERYVERYHIGH because yes they have been around and yes they probably are the biggest headshop on this side of town, but they definitely are not the best. I won’t go back.

Before I even begin this review, I want to say that I had a BADEXPERIENCE here. I am not saying that everyone’s experience will be as bad as mine was… I’m just saying to be weary. There’s my disclaimer, here’s my story: Mystik is a store that sells novelties such as water pipes, tobacco, clothing, jewelry… etc. Inside Mystik is their piercing and tattoo parlor, named Dungeon. I went here to get my eyebrow pierced. I had it done by a guy named«Leo,» who supposedly is a really experienced piercer. Now this is the first time I’d had anything pierced on my face so I was pretty sure it was going to hurt. I was ready for that. The problem was that he pierced me so deep that it was hard for him to close the small hoop. I didn’t know any better so I went home and figured that once the swelling went down it would be fine. A few days pass with no change and the hoop is honestly pulling my skin, so I go back to Dungeon. I go back to Leo, and he tells me, «Oh wow, it looks like I pierced you a little too deep.» Basically, I was told to keep it clean, let it heal and all would be fine. A couple of more days pass… The pain just gets worse ’til I wake up one morning and the whole area around my eye is black and blue. It looked like someone had punched me in the face. That was it. I took the damn hoop out and it was immediate relief. It healed up, but to this day I have a small scar. A few months later, I went somewhere else to get my eyebrow pierced again and let me tell you it was a completely different experience. Don’t get me wrong, it hurt — but the pain was nowhere near as excruciating as when I had it done at Dungeon. It healed within a month and looked great. Again, I want to say that people are NOTPERFECT and mistakes DOHAPPEN. I don’t want to say that everyone at Dungeon is horrible because I don’t know that to be the truth. But I do know that it would be smart to be a little weary with this place…
