Contrary to a Unilocal saying this place is closed, it just re opened! I’ve gotta say I’m totally impressed! They have an amazing craft beer selection and when I say amazing they have brews that other«craft beer establishments» DONT have. My bartender River was friendly and knowledgeable which are the two best qualities as far as service is concerned. The menu is a nice blend or fresh organic American food and Vegan. I had the Magic Mushroom burger medium rare which came with crunchy fresh lettuce, a giant slice of tomato and balsamic reduction! It was cooked perfectly and the fries were hit and crunchy with very little grease. You get your choice of seasoning on them and I chose Old Bay which paired well with the type of burger ai ordered. I give this place five stars and recommend everyone checks it out TONIGHT for their official gran reopening

Food is too expensive($ 10 – 18 burgers) and it takes forever to order and receive a beer. Beer prices are average and has a good selection.

Oblivion is one of my favorite places to go when I don’t have dinner plans and want some good bar food. You can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. Now, Oblivion is closing forever on Sunday, 1÷31÷2016, so of course I had to pay my final respects. I visited last night and man was it packed. They had a two hour wait to be seated — which they weren’t lying about that, it really was 2 hours. The food took over an hour to come out(two cooks working)…and there were only two people in my party. They were out of many beers and service was kind of slow. But you know what? Everyone there was so happy — apart from the occasional server crying — and having fun. No one was upset that their food was taking forever, no one was upset because they were out of a lot of beers, no one was upset about waiting two hours to be seated. Now I think that tells you a lot about the loyalty of Oblivion’s regulars and clientele. If this were any other restaurant, I would have been very VERY upset about the situation — but it was fine. I’m going to miss their smoked wings, their cajun fries, their beer list, the atmosphere, and especially the staff. Thank you for a good couple of years! Oblivion Taproom, I bid you adieu.

This place should be on the top of your lists if you are a wing lover like I am. Their dry rub smoked wings are ahhhh-ma-zing! I have wings on average once or twice I week, but these are definitely my go to wings when i need a bit of a different flavor than usual. They are pretty well sized wings and I typically have some left over. I accompany these delicious wings with a basket of tots(garlic parmesan ones are my favorite!), their hottest sauce, and ranch. All the sauces I have had are really good, including their house made ketchup. They do have a large list of yummy craft beers and ciders as well so it usually takes a while for me to decide which I want to drink. Service is usually pretty good here as well. The downside I can say about Oblivion is it gets busy at times and is pretty loud inside, but I can sacrifice those small annoyances for those wings!

So I’m writing this from the perspective of a vegan with allergies. If you’re a meat eater, enjoy the rest of the reviews but for my fellow herbivores, this place is awesome. I tend to get The Black Sheep burger with the soy patty and I sub guac for the pineapple for personal preferences. They have two vegetarian burgers that can easily be converted to vegan burgers and the staff really cares about making sure they stick to your dietary restrictions. They also have vegan bbq wings that I want to try next. The tots are phenomenal even without seasoning, and their $ 4 wines still taste good and have a decent pour. The beer list is the thing of dreams and for the most part the servers know which beers are strictly vegan. The atmosphere looks like a punk rock club, a goth club, and a biker bar had a baby who got into nerd culture. It’s a great feel, and there’s enough noise to cover an awkward date who isn’t big into talking but not so loud you can’t hear each other. And as a new mom, I love that it’s fairly kid friendly! I saw people with small children and medium(?) children there and I think as long as you don’t let them play darts, it’s a great place for them. I haven’t verified if there’s a changing table in the bathroom but I would assume there is. Overall, we love coming here and go any chance we get!

We just moved from Austin, and on our adventures we drove by Oblivion. So of course we googled this place, and noticed the many different types of beer and cider they carried. We drive on up, and from the outside it looks a little like a dive. We walk in and see the drink list, and man is it long!!! They have so many beers and ciders! I took the bartenders recommendations and ordered a cider which tasted like apple pie! Mm!!! On the downside– burgers are $ 15. Which is a bit pricy for bar food…

This was my first time coming to Oblivion. I’ve heard so much about them and their burgers. I didn’t know about their huge list of beer that they had available, but I surely appreciated it! The night was slow so service was quick and friendly to boot! The burgers and the beer are very creative and original along with the extras provided to put on your burger. After ordering our burgers we were delivered with the ketchup and mustard, we use the ketchup and notice that the ketchup has a different taste to it. So we ask our server which brand of ketchup do they use, come to find out that they make their own ketchup. Not that we have a knock on originality, but it would’ve been nice to have a heads up. She then told us that they have original ketchup if we needed, which in my opinion should’ve been mentioned beforehand. This isn’t a bad place for a hangout(darts, pool tables, hightops, televisions) or dinner, but I believe Oblivion tries to much to be both. For the prices of the burger, you’re paying for the creativity and uniqueness of the burger, not the exactly the quality of it.

Pro’s: Customer service, originality(they even make their own ketchup), beer specials and beer selections. Cons: Price, taste is not everyone’s cup of tea, burger was rushed, to pink on the inside with a burnt taste on the outside(but maybe they were going for a chargrilled taste) there was a different smell walking in, almost like bleach(at least you know the place is clean.) But it just didn’t cut it for me this time. Recommendations: find out what that smell is, let the customer know your ketchup is homemade before they mistakenly put on their burger. Lower prices on some areas. $ 16 burger is a little expensive, don’t make the mistake of pricing yourselves out of business.

I went here with some friends on a Saturday night. It was an amazing experience. I started off my meal with some smoked chicken wings, I like the fact that they serve the chicken wings with the sauce on the side. Recommended the chicken wings to anybody. Then I had a hamburger. Not just any burger, they grind their own burgers with three types of beef. On top of my burger was some pulled pork, caramelized onions, and a fried egg. And to top it all off I had some sweet potato tater tot’s on the side. I had a couple of the pumpkin beers that evening. Not a big fan of beer, but they were tasty. There were eight of us that night, and we all had a truly remarkable evening. Just to give you a heads up, The staff here is heavily pierced, and lots of tattoos. Don’t judge, the staff there was amazing. Will definitely go back, and recommend it to anybody.

From the outside I wasn’t sure what to expect. Then I realized the action is on the inside. The hosts were great, our waitress was wonderful, and the atmosphere was bright and energetic. They kept the menu simple by not over crowding it with fluff. The items were easy to find and a great variety or styles to have your food cooked. The food was delicious and I got more than what I expected. The portion sizes were on point with how hungry I was. I ordered The Man in Black with Cajun Fries. The burger was made to order which isn’t always easy to find in restaurant establishments. We did wait a bit for our food to be made but from what I was told everything is made fresh and to order. It was worth the wait. Loved it!

Oblivion is a local Orlando hidden secret, but the word is getting out! I’ve been coming to Oblivion since it first opened, and have really enjoyed watching the menu constantly evolve. They create specialty menus from time to time based on seasonal items. Best known for their wings and burgers, I would call their style«gastropub». The burger menu is extensive and includes all types of specialty purgers(including those with pineapples, pork, jalapenos, eggs, guacamole, and more). The smoked wings are absolutely incredible and filled with flavor. There is nothing«low calorie» about this place, so if you’re on a diet you may want to steer clear, or plan to come here on your«cheat day». Did I mention they have an AWESOME beer menu, and a knowledgeable staff to help you decide? Because they do. While I mainly come here for the food, it’s also a traditional bar with dart boards and pool tables, so don’t hesitate to stop up for a drink only. They also host some really fun events, so keep an eye on their calendar to see what’s coming up!

This is my favorite place to go to for a burger. You will always get quality food and amazing favors. The menu changes, I’m not sure how often but any specials are worth trying. The Godzilla burger was a new one that I have not been able to get out of my head for over a week now and will have to go back for it soon. The Godzilla burger is a teriyaki glazed burger patty with crispy pork belly seared in eel sauce, Asian slaw, wasabi aioli, crispy onions and lettuce on a brioche bun. If that doesn’t make your mouth water I don’t know what will. Any foodie will adore this favor full peace of heaven. The huge beer tap menu is great and they have such a variety of local and international beers. They also have a very limited wine menu. And do not serve liquor. From the outside I didn’t know what to think: biker bar, strip club, you name it. My imagine runs wild though. Inside it is kind of dark black and red walls with graffiti type art. It’s very casual and chill, there are even dark boards and a pool table for free entertainment. The food and service is always great. You can not go wrong with anything on the menu. If you like wings you truly have to try these. Get theme crispy with the sauce on the side and be careful because they come out very hot and juicy. The big daddy Mac and cheese is very good too. You MUST get it with the pulled pork on top drizzled with some bbq. I mean come on go big or go home. This these few items don’t send your taste buds on a trip I don’t know what to tell you.

One Sunday, my girl and I had been out shopping and were starving and after much indecisiveness, decided we wanted a great burger so Oblivion Taproom came to mind. We started drooling over the pictures on Unilocal and then almost cried when we saw it didn’t open until 4pm on Sunday’s. Booooo! We ran around and did a little more shopping and arrived right when the doors opened famished and ready to eat! The décor is primarily red & black, funky eclectic and inviting like the local neighborhood bar. We were greeted by the host and settled into a nice booth when we dove into the drink menu. They have a huge cider selection! I opted for the passion fruit which was so tasty but I didn’t love it was served on ice, I prefer my cider cold without ice to water it down. My friend ordered the Maduro Vanilla which had a nice smooth vanilla finish, a little different from the regular Maduro. We stared with the fried pickles which had a light batter seasoned with they house flavors with the«srirancha» sauce — so good!!! I couldn’t stop popping them in my mouth. Next for entrees… The El Guaco had my name written all over it, guacamole, pepper jack, and all the toppings plus I ordered a fried egg on top to make it extra special with a side of sweet potatoes tots… «You gonna eat your tots?» Heck ya! You can get regular tots with different seasonings that make them extra happy. My friend ordered her burger medium and when I came out it was a bit on the medium rare side but they were quick to re-cook it for her and the manager brought out the new one Ana had her cut into it to make sure it was a-ok this time. Well handled situation I’d say. Our server was very knowledgable about not only the food but the various craft beers and ciders they have they and made excellent suggestions. I would highly recommend and can’t wait to come back here on a Friday or Saturday night — seems like a great time with good food!

Burgers and beer. A winning duo. At a wonderfully friendly place. Oblivion feels like home! I love craft beer and they never disappoint me here. There is ALWAYS something I haven’t tried. The bartenders are great at recommendations, especially once they get to know you! The burgers are always cooked to the right temperature. That is a huge deal to me. I loathe overcooked meat. Do not give me a well done burger unless that’s what I ask for(which will never happen!). End rant. Thank you Oblivion for serving perfect medium burgers! Flavor offerings on the tots/fries are also delightful. Salt and vinegar fries make me happy. Oblivion hosts so many different events(I’ve baked beer cupcakes for a Terrapin contest) that cater to many different groups of people and its become a melting pot for all personalities. I know I will always have a great time here!

This is one of those spots that is as great as the company you decide to drink & dine with. Last night I visited with a group of friends and we had a blast. Came in at about 7pm on a Saturday night and only had to wait 20 minutes which isn’t too bad, however, having a ceiling fan as the only source of cool air was pretty bad. Being from Miami, this isn’t the first time I’ve experienced a lack of A/C so I’m not judging them too harshly on that aspect. The beer and cider selections? Absolutely a 5 out of 5; I have visited a few spots that have a larger beer selection, but I have definitely never seen any location that has a cider selection as extensive as the one I saw last night. There were many beers and ciders sliding around our table, but we did have a few favorites. By far, my favorite beer was the Funky Buddha French Toast Double Brown Ale, it had a great feel and the aroma of maple syrup was absolute perfection. The favorite cider was a tie between McKenzies Black Cherry and a Passionfruit Cider by Rekorderlig; both were refreshing and acted as a great chaser to some of the heavier stouts. The food? At best it deserved a 3 out of 5. We ordered a variety of appetizers in addition to the Soul Scorcher(burger w/jalapeños, pepper jack, lettuce, tomato, hot sauce). ‘In A Pickle’ consisted of perfectly crispy deep fried pickle chips served with a sauce — surprisingly, I think it was the best tasting appetizer. The ‘Whistle Stop’(fried green tomatoes) — absolutely the low point of the night; very bland, completely lacked any of the tang you associate with this dish. Fries w/Cajun seasoning– almost as bland as the fried green tomatoes, pretty much just soggy fries. ‘Shrooms’ came with 3(yes, only 3!) mini mushrooms caps stuffed with goat cheese, cream cheese, garlic, onions and peppers; they are ok, but no way it’s worth the $ 8. ‘Oblivion Wings’ — the wings had a good taste and texture, pretty good, but I still found the $ 1 per wing price point to be a bit too much. Dessert — D.F.O. aka Deep Fried Objects aka Deep Fried Oreos aka Deep Fried Deliciousness served with a caramel sauce. There is a bit too much batter(especially since these are not ‘Double Stuft’), but these treats are a great way to end the night. Service — Myranda was the perfect waitress. She gave suggestions, checked up on the table and just had an overall great attitude.

When I get together with my teammates we brainstorm, talk strategy, exchange ideas — ah who am I kidding — we eat. We eat a lot… we take pics of our food… and then we eat. On the first night of a few nights in Orlando we stopped in to Oblivion for dinner. I had seen them(as in — seen, literally… didn’t get to try!) at Andi’s Unilocal Orlando Night At The Museum event. Looked forward to finally trying them… and they didn’t disappoint! First — these people know their beers! There’s a huge list — including a lengthy cider list! We had a few brews(paired with different dishes). Poperings Hommel Bier Gulden Draak Brewmaster’s Edition Tripel Van De Garre — Our beer expert mentioned this was the first time this brew was on tap in the US. Great beer! All of them delicious — all of them potent! For food we had: Tots Smoked wings — SOGOOD! There were 2 left on the plate and I wanted to eat them — but refused to be a pig in front of my teammates. The Daddy Mac — Mac&cheese with with pulled pork and made with homemade beer cheese. WHOA! Fried oreos — amazing! Better than any I’ve had. and some bars that had chocolate and coconut? They were incredible! Last but not least… Old Brown Dog randalled through Cowtails caramel crème candies and milk chocolate chips. WHAT?! Yes… amazing! The staff here is killer. Whether you love beer — or are interested in learning more they are MORETHANHAPPY to talk about beer. Ask questions — learn some things — drink some unique brews! Awesome spot and I look forward to returning!

Sometimes(ok, oftentimes) nothing beats burgers, fries and beer. Add on wings, tater tots and fried OREOS, it’s no contest. Oblivion hit it out of the park with our meal last week. In the company of fellow Unilocal CMs, they put together a tasting menu of sorts so that us out-of-towners could try as much of the menu as possible in one fell swoop. We started with the dry-rubbed wings which I had heard great things about. I don’t go out of my way to find good wings but oh man, these were awesome. The dry rub was great, while the meat was juicy and practically falling off the bone. No ranch required but we did get some of that, and blue cheese. I’m a pickle and hot sauce fiend so loved the fried pickles served with house Sriracha sauce. We also tried the cajun fries that packed a strong punch, and Hawaiian raw garlic tater tots that were interestingly sweet and salty at the same time. I am a glutton for ketchup and here they make it in house. I wanted to bottle it up to bring back with me! You know those meals where you don’t even need a main course and can be satisfied with the sides? That’s how I felt here. Especially when we also had the pleasure of enjoying the Mac Daddy with pulled pork. Think macaroni and cheese with beer sauce, jalapeño, roasted red pepper and BBQ sauce. But alas, we continued on to a perfect slider sampler of two burgers, El Guaco and Little Piggy, and a pulled pork sandwich. My favorite was definitely El Guaco because everything is better with guacamole. Finally, we finished with Oblivibars and D.F.Os. I’ve had fried Oreos before but these were definitely the best! Served with a caramel dipping sauce, I was sent to sugar heaven. The bars were also amazing and reminded me of something I’d sinfully bake at home. I can’t leave a review without mentioning the stellar beer selection. Not a beer connoisseur? The staff really knows their stuff and will hook you up with the best brew for your tastebuds. My newest revelation was the De Garre Tripel which is a deceivingly strong sip that can’t be found in just any old bar. Oh Orlando, you continue to outdo yourself! Can’t wait to come back here but will definitely make it out before 10pm on Tuesdays. That when the Furries meet up and scare me away.

5 Stars because I finally tried their food. Holy. Moly. We started with Oblivion’s Famous Dry-rub Wings. I’ll admit, I’ve never been much of a wings fan. They’re usually either incredibly overcooked, greasy, or way too spicy. I am now a believer. These wings are so good I didn’t even have to dip them in the ranch dressing. I was literally licking my fingers! We also tried the fried pickles and the Hawaiian Raw Garlic Tater Tots. For me the tots really stood out but what really took them over the edge into drool territory was when you dipped them in Oblivion’s homemade ketchup. I’m not embarrassed to admit that we spent a good five minutes gushing about this elevated ketchup. Surely it couldn’t get better, right? WRONG. That’s when we got to try the Mac Daddy with pulled pork. Made with homemade beer cheese sauce, jalapenos, roasted red peppers, and a drizzle of their stout BBQ sauce, this mac & cheese packs a punch! I’m not one for overly spicy food though and I was able to really enjoy this dish. We then moved on to probably my new favorite burger in Orlando, El Guac. Made with half a pound of great beef, this burger was perfectly cooked and smothered in housemade chipotle guac, pepper jack cheese, house bacon, and lettuce. This burger is seriously not to be missed! Finally, we ended the evening with Oblivibars and DFOs(Deep Fried Objects). The Oblivibars were a revelation. The bars are made with graham crackers, oreos, coconut, pecans, and semi-melted chocolate chips. These are worth every once of sugar in them. Not to be outdone, the DFOs were my first foray into fried oreos and I was blown away! New favorite dessert? Very possibly! We had some fabulous beers paired with each dish including De Garre Tripel, which apparently is a rare Belgian beer that has never before been available in the US. I also found out that their list of ciders is insanely extensive and known around Florida. Overall, a fabulous experience with fantastic service. Can’t wait to return with some friends! Pro-Tip: If you’re freaked out by Furries, don’t go to OT late on Tuesday nights… It seems they tend to gather there on that night… haha!
