Don’t even attempt to eat here unless you have a LONG wait for your flight. We saw the host with 50 minutes until our flight boarded and he sat us in the restaurant. We then sat and waited more than 10 minutes until a waitress came to our table. Although we were ready to order both food and drinks when she came, she refused to serve us because we had less than 45 minutes until our flight. She was incredibly rude when I told her that I had been sitting there waiting for more than 10 minutes and I was only sitting in the restaurant because the host said I met the time qualifications. The only reason they get 2 stars is because the food tasted good when we walked out and ordered the exact same thing(without drinks, disappointing) at the to go window. We received our order with plenty of time to eat it before our flight boarded, but we would have preferred to enjoy this meal at a table, with a drink, in the restaurant. Improve the communication between the hosts and waitresses and don’t seat people if you plan to ignore them and then refuse to serve them. Incredibly rude!

One of the better airport food options at MCO. Food: I ordered a quesadilla and it was average in taste, nothing great, nothing terrible. Generous portions of cheese, but a bit soggy. Had to add tons of salsa to add more flavor. The chips and salsa are great though, very crispy & not too oily. Price: Steep! Isn’t all airport food, though? I’d much rather spend a little more on fresh tex-mex than eating something pre-packaged. Service: Our waitress was the best part of this experience. She was super friendly, attentive & very gorgeous(not that it matters). Great customer service! She didn’t seem annoyed by me constantly asking for cold water and hot water for my tea. Ambiance: Super spacious, clean & a bit cold… I needed a sweater in this joint. Overall: Average tex-mex at an okay price, not too many options that surpass this one at MCO.

Typical Mexican fare located at MCO. I enjoyed the salsa that came with the chips, it was sweet, sour, and was spicy. I ordered the RANCHILADAS. The skirt steak was very tender and has a nice charred flavor. Overall just a basic meal at the airport. Service was good and friendly.

Restaurant food was fine. Average. I ordered the chicken soup, which tasted quite good. Had the steak fajitas, which were average. I ordered a bottle of Perrier because I wanted sparkling water and that’s when I realized this restaurant has an up charge selling system in place(which most restaurants do but I don’t notice it as much.) This kind of irked me. Waitress gave me the bottle of Perrier but then I ordered club soda from the fountain as refill instead of another bottle. Same thing, but because of my stupidity, I was charged twice. In addition to the other nuances in the meal, it was topped off by the waitress asking me if I wanted the bottle of water that sat on my table for the ride home. Overall the experience was fine and the waitress took care of the various things she misheard me say. I do recommend this place but beware of the aggressive upselling. This would be a 4 star recommendation…

I ordered the fajita steak salad. The steak came after so I waited while they were still cooking it. It was perfectly cooked. It was worth the wait. I did not enjoy eat with a plastic fork and my corona was like warm. I would have asked for a steak knife but server only came once.

Yay On the Border in an airport awesome ! Had a flight at 8pm and was in the terminal early so decided to eat here. The wait was suppose to be 10 min but they say is in about 3 minutes that’s good. Free chips and salsa came right when we sat down, great. Only thing was the salsa was abnormally more spicy than normal. Still addicting though! Our waitress was very kinda and averagely attentive. Asked about an entrée to see if the tomatillo was spicy and she said no so I ordered it. It is the tomatillo chicken. Sounded so good with the cilantro rice and sautéed vegetables. While you wait you have the option to watch sports on the tvs or take a gander outside to watch the sun set. Drinks came at a timely manner. Our food took 40 minutes to come out the kitchen. By the time we got it, the meal was cold. Saw a couple sit down and get their food within 15 minutes. That’s crazy. Our entrees couldn’t be more simple. Chicken and a salad. Very inconsistent execution. The tomatillo chicken was pretty spicy. Had to cool it down with a sauce, went for the avocado ranch sauce and sour cream; switching between the two. BUT the cilantro rice was amazing. If it was hot I bet it would have been perfect. It has a great hint of cilantro flavor! My mom got a really good salad with steak on the side but even she said the salad was overly spicy too. The chef probably is a bit heavy handed when preparing. All in all this place did the job but could have been better.

All things considered, being buried in the airport(after TSA), we had a darn good, fresh & ample meal! Chicken Fajitas & Goose Island IPA served under the caring & watchful eye of Angel our waiter!(2nd Angel waitstaff in 2 days!) Glad the snow storm has passed & conditions have improved for our funeral trip! We head off well fed & tended to

Naidine was sweet and sharp. Food was no good. Cobb salad made without any care. Chicken Fajitas ehh… rice is not cooked. .tortillas were dry and extra microwaved .so yea. the kitchen is not handled well considering an international airport.

After a wonderful visit at Walt Disney World and having an evening flight on JetBlue back to New York-John F. Kennedy International Airport at the very nice Orlando International Airport( ), I found myself having a pre-flight dinner at On The Border in the center atrium of the A-Gates as it was a better option than Burger King or pizza. While I really wanted to have Chick-fil-A before my flight, it was not that feasible as it is pre-security in the Food Court and I did not want to have to line up for security again and possibly risk missing my flight. With that in mind, I came here and the amiable host informed me that while there was a bit of a wait for a table as it was crowded in the clean, bright, and inviting restaurant, the large bar was first come, first serve, so I decided to sit there as there was an open seat. When I arrived, I was greeted by Liz, my bartender/waitress, who was very friendly, attentive, and efficient. After perusing the menu, I decided to order the Chicken Fajitas, with a substitute of corn tortillas for flour tortillas along with a Diet Coke to drink. While I was waiting, it was nice to meet other travelers at the bar, making for a fun time! About fifteen to twenty minutes later, I received my Chicken Fajitas, which were large in portion size and presented nicely in the traditional way, with the grilled chicken, onions, and peppers sizzling on a skillet and the sides on another plate. I thought the food was very good, as the grilled chicken was well seasoned, moist and tender, the sautéed peppers were crisp, the onions were sweet and caramelized, the rice was fluffy and pleasantly salty, the pico de gallo was sweet, salty, and crisp, and the corn tortillas were earthy and well cooked. When I paid the bill, I found that at about $ 15 in change for the fajitas, the price was fair as the quality was very good, the portion was large, and the price for the location was not bad at all. Overall, On the Border is a solid Mexican chain restaurant and made for a very good pre-flight meal at the Orlando International Airport.

Experience: waiting for a flight in Orlando airport and passed one of my fav spots… On the Border! Decided to stop in for their chips and salsa! It was a Thursday evening. Facility: Smaller than a typical stand alone joint, but it was a decent size for an airport restaurant. It was clean with both booth, and table and chair seating. There were also some high bar seating stools and tables too. Service: the waiter as friendly and attentive, but unfortunately I forgot his name. Sorry!!! Food: I ordered Queso to go with my hips and salsa and a margarita. I love the ships and salsa here. The salsa is the crushed kind without any big chunks, which I prefer. It had a nice smoky flavor to it too. The chips are big, light and delicious. The Queso was tasty and was a very big portion. So big, I didn’t get an entrée because I filled up on chips. The margarita was the Patron Margarita on the rocks. It was very tasty and plenty strong. Overall: I will always come back to On the Borders when I see them around the country. There’s not one close to my house, but I was glad I got to sample this one.

Don’t usually write reviews but this is pissing me off. Yes, I am angry writing this because it is true. After waiting for so long to finally get a seat somewhere(bar or table), I finally get a place close to the bar and get ignored. No one showed up to offer anything. After waiting a while, I had to get up and leave. Please be advised that my review ISNOT about the food, as I did not get the chance to have any; it is about the service. I guess I now have to find something else before my flight leaves. #nomore

We came here after a day at universal and we didn’t eat there at all. Our flight was delayed so we were hungry and eager to eat. When we first approached, the host asked if we had 45 minutes before our flight, which gave me the impression that this would take a while. And as a previous Unilocaler said, it did take a while. We were a party of 6 and there were empty tables but we waited 10 minutes to be seated. After we were seated and placed our order, it took a long time for our chips and guac to come out. We noticed that another table that just got seated, were immediately given chips along with their menu. Even though we specifically asked our server for chips after we placed our order, it took a while for it to come. We were really hungry because our only meal that day was breakfast and this was around 6pm. The food was okay for airport/chain restaurant food. I had the cheese and chicken enchiladas and it was good. It satisfied by hunger but the service was just bad.

The food was pretty good and we got chicken and steak fajitas. Service was not so good. Took about 10 min for us to be greeted and to get some waters. All other aspects of service were slow as well. I could see the waiters were slammed since this is one of the few decent restaurants at this airport. But it didn’t provide for a good experience for people in a hurry to catch a flight.

This review is about the To Go counter. While I was waiting in line for Starbucks the thought occurred to me that a breakfast sandwich would be delicious, so we left the line to order a breakfast burrito. We had previously asked about the breakfast options and when we went to order the rude woman working told us that breakfast was over. Why tell us the breakfast options and then after we ditch the long line tell us breakfast is over without any apology. It was 10:00. Ridiculous.

Love love love this place. My boyfriend and I came for lunch on a layover to Jamaica. The drinks were absolutely delicious. We got the patron margaritas and they were equally strong as they were delicious. Our server was very sweet and attentive but not too overbearing which was nice. She kept our drinks flowing. Lol. The best part however was the meal. We ordered off the fresh section because we figure we’ll be eating terribly once we get to the hotel so might as well make some conscious decisions now. Boy were we delightfully surprised at how delicious the fresh healthy meals were. We got the fresco chicken meals and they were light, fresh, delicious and filling. Would definitely return here again.

I had the chicken fajitas and it was really good I thought. The chicken was cooked well and seasoned well. The beans were also really tasty and flavorful. I would eat there again. The customer service was good, and very friendly especially when I am tired from traveling It was extra nice to have that.

When I walked up, the host asked when my flight was, giving me the impression it would not be quick service. And it wasn’t, even though there weren’t more than a few tables of people at the time. The chips were standard OTB — yummy. Enchiladas were overlooked a bit but still good. Server was hard to find and I waited a while to get a drink refill and to pay. He as friendly, but not once even checked with me to make sure my food was ok. I’ll return here if I ever again have time to wait at the airport. Was good, just couldn’t have been better.

Not a bad place to grab a quick bite. We were given meal vouchers from JetBlue since our flight was rescheduled so we decided to sit down and eat here. We were given the standard chips and salsa but the chips were a little stale. I ordered the steak ranchera and my sister had the soft taco and enchilada combo. My steak was okay. A little cooked more than I liked so it was tough to chew. My sister enjoyed her taco and enchilada. I actually had a taste of the enchilada and thought it was good. Service was okay. Most of the people that worked there seemed friendly.

Food was surprisingly good for an airport restaurant! I wasn’t expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. I had the mini street tacos with steak which were excellent. The 3 tacos came with a generous helping of rice and beans and salsa and avocados on the side. My fiancé ordered the appetizer sampler which was humongous — could have been shared by at least 2 people. We also had a side of the complimentary chips and salsa which tasted fresh. The drinks were on the expensive side, even for an airport. Beers were $ 8.75 each — that’s ballpark prices! I think my strawberry margarita was around the same but it wasn’t very strong. Next time we will stick to water and split an entrée since the portions are so large.

I shuffled in here after a long, hot day before catching my flight home. The options were very limited in this terminal, and On the Border caught my eye. I wasn’t aware this was a chain restaurant, though most airport restaurants seem to be, as the closest On the Border to where I live is 400 miles away. They asked me if I had 45 minutes before my flight, and I explained I did. A few people who came in after me were seated before me, but I figured it was because of availability of tables. After five or so minutes I was seated at a small table in the dining room in view of three televisions. Three televisions that were playing football; I was content. My waitress was cheery and friendly, though there were long times I wouldn’t see her or any other wait staff. As I was not in any rush it didn’t bother me, but a few tables were becoming anxious. I ordered a strawberry margarita that was the size of a small swimming pool and this taco dish that was ooey, gooey cheesy with deliciously seasoned ground beef. It wasn’t a complicated dish — meat, cheese, shredded lettuce, and sour cream all compartmentalized but easy to smoosh together. For the day I was having nothing could be tastier. The service was fantastic with my waitress willing to pause and make sure everything was ok and even when I paid mentioned that I could hang out and continue to watch football. It was really the highlight of this airport.
