Father’s Day too overwhelming for this location, cold steak, half raw potato, then the steak brought back out over cooked

My review is NOT one Star … it is Zero Stars. I am writing a short very«BAD» review here, and then writing a very detailed one to the Outback Corporate Office. I worked as a butcher or meat cutter for a supermarket, before I became a Police Officer(30 years served). Today(June 10, 2016), I brought my 25 year old son to this Outback to celebrate my 70th Birthday. We told the waiter we wanted a thick 20 oz. boneless ribeye. What he brought us was a very thin(¼ inch or less) piece of meat that was basically a cheap cut of what is called commonly Chuck Steak. It was heavily marinated a lot and was extremely salty. I told the waiter exactly what I wanted. A rib-eye is shaped just like a center cut pork chop(tear drop shape), but the beef steak has a big eye of fat(about the size of a dime) in the large end and a lot of fat marbling. What we got was square shaped, and no marbling, and no eye fat. Please note the waiter was very polite the entire time. The waiter said he understood what I was saying and what I wanted, and he would get me the steak I ordered. Instead, a man came out saying he was the Owner/Manager and said what I got is a rib-eye, but when it is taken off the bone the eye(fat) is gone. This is ridiculous, and I had my son showed him on his smart phone what a true rib-eye looked like with the eye-fat. Again, he insisted that he buys racks of rib-eyes weekly, and what I got was a rib-eye. I explained to him that I was a butcher in my younger years, and what I got was cheaper cut, which is called chuck steak, and it was ¼ thin, and not 20 oz., and it was heavily marinated and salted. The Owner/manager leaves and comes back with a table a weight scale to show me three of the 1′ thick rib-eyes. Again, I said those are not rib-eyes. They are the same cheaper cut I got, but thicker. There was no fat eye. I explained to him when he cuts the rib rack into steaks there is the round fat eye(eye fat is always there on the steak with or without bone), and as you cut down the length of the rib rack, the eye(fat) slowly disappears, and the rest of the steaks are no longer a choice rib-eye quality. Yes, they are still tasty at 1″ think, but they are now in the cheaper chuck steak category. But, I didn’t even get this 1″ chuck steak. I got a square ¼ thick steak with no eye and no fat marbling(Chuck Steak). If you think I am wrong go ask your local Butcher at any supermarket about the cuts of a rib rack. They cannot sell those cuts as true rib-eyes(with or with or without the bone). Well, the Owner/Manager becomes very argumentative, and still insisted his eyeless steaks were eye-rib roast steaks, and he left to cook me one of the thick 1″ steaks(lower quality chuck steak). I thought about it for a moment, and I was insulted with his rudeness, and his argumentative mannerism. So, I had enough of this Owner/Manager trying to convince me he was right. So, I told the waiter, I was done, and I will pay for what I had, which was: two bowels of onion soap, bread, two ice tea drinks, and one ¼″ thin, square, chuck steak my son ate. The Owner/Manager came right back and insisted what he showed me was rib-eye steak. Here we go again … I tried to explain to him, «I do not want the cheaper cut of meat.» And, explained again what a true rib-eye steaks looks like. Now he starts smirking and laughing at me. I said, «Sir do not laugh at me.» And again … yes again, I tried to explaining his steak was not a true rib-eye, it was a cheaper quality cut. Well, he starts smirking and laughing again. Now, I am angry. So, I finally said to him, «I have had enough of this. You are selling me a cheaper quality cut of meat, and I do not want it. I will pay for what I have eaten, and leave.» He stands up in a fit of anger and says very loudly, «No, don’t pay anything and leave my store now.» I said, «I do not want anything free, and I will pay for what I ate.» Now he yells very loud, «Get out of my store now!» Everyone in the restaurant is now looking. So, he embarrassed my son and me. I did tell him in parting I was going to write a BAD review, and he said sarcastically, «I do not care, go ahead.» So, here I am. I see other BAD reviews here, and I can only wonder how many other people just said nothing and never came back. Well, I told this story to a few friends, and they replied that they would never eat there again, because they had bad experiences there. And, I won’t ever eat there again too. But, since the Owner/Manager does not care about his reviews here, I am also writing to the main Corporate Office. This man needs«anger management training» and I expect a written apology from him too here for all to read. PS: keep in mind the waiter was polite and understood what I wanted. But, I guarantee, if anyone asks him about this situation, he will support his Boss. Keep in mind this is normal, per he does not want to lose his job over what happened to me.

I stopped by for lunch after spending the morning at the hospital with a friend. I was not in the best of moods but after sitting at the bar, Brett really brightened up my day. It has been a long time since I have been to Outback for lunch and Brett was a great help since some of it was a wee bit confusing. As usual it was unsweetened tea with lime to drink. The Chicken Tortilla Soup and the Outbacker Burger with fries with Provolone and Cheddar was my choice and I ordered it medium. I was brought some bread to start and the bread was warm and spot on. My soup came out but there no sign of tortilla in the soup. I mentioned it to Brett but it was now getting busy so I told him not to worry about it. The soup was very tasty but there were no tortilla strips or chunks of chicken to be found. I would have to rate it a 3 because of the flavor but the missing chicken and tortilla strips were hard to overlook. My burger and fries was brought to me by a food runner after only a couple minutes of receiving my soup. It would have been nice to have had some time to at least finish my soup. The fries were could have been a bit crispier and the salt was a wee bit generous on them. My burger was a perfect medium rare and not medium. I am OK with anything past medium rare for a burger but my wife would have sent a burger back at medium rare. The flavor of the burger was quite nice and the meat was seasoned very nicely. I would have to rate my lunch experience overall at simply OK because there were misses in the food and the timing of it being delivered. About 10 years ago I was a regular patron of Outback for Lunch and Dinner but these days I prefer to seek out mom n pop owned places to dine so Outback has not bee high on my priority list. After having a mediocre lunch experience, I suspect I will not be itching to return very soon. A Florida Foodie

Got food positioning from the ahi tuna. Never want to go back there again. I’m disgusted by the cook staff.

Décor: 3⁄5 –Nothing special to say about the décor, all Outbacks are practically the same Service: 2⁄5 –Made a reservation online for party of 7 an hour ahead for 5pm and still had to wait 20 minutes for the table. –Our server appeared new, she had to ask us multiple times what drinks we wanted and what food we ordered –Food also seemed to have came out at a crawling rate Food: 2⁄5 –Aussie fries are delicious, more than the blooming onion –The 22oz ribeye was a disappointment. The steak was tough to cut, I ordered medium rare and there were some rare areas. –Baked sweet potato was great

I had the best service tonight from Danielle! She was attentive and all seven of our group’s dinner came out perfect. We had a variety of menu items and all were delicious. The entire staff were friendly and you can call ahead to save some time waiting.

I am giving 4 stars because I ordered the $ 14.99 special with soup, salad and choice of chicken or sirloin. The sirloin is SUPERSMALL!!! My 9 year old daughter ordered the kids meal and she got a pretty big slab of ribs with her kids plate. Darn, I need to be a kid again. The salad and soup were great and I also get a slice of cheesecake. Even though the sirloin was small in size, it was great in flavor. I enjoyed each bite and even shared a piece with my daughter. My daughter thought the ribs had too much sauce and ended up changing it for a cheeseburger. She loved the burger, real meat and tasty melted cheese. Kudos to our server for great service and for getting the manager to check on us. He was great with my daughter.

The service is always amazing here! The food is sometimes a hit or miss though, sometimes the potatoes are delish, sometimes eh. I would of given 5 stars, however I asked for medium well and got a medium rare bloody steak, which I do not mind but it was a bit disappointing.

Pricey and Average Food & Service. Well we are two for two with so so service and food experiences. Have this restaurant another try After the first disappointing visit. Tried the skinny margarita, it tasted like ice water with lime. Opted for the blood orange Rita second time around that was good although it did not come with the black salt rim as shown in menu. On first trip I ordered the rib eye after seeing & tasting my friends(which was delicious!) Mine however came extremely salty, my friend agreed it was. Manager came to the table, and apologized but said they do not use seasoning. Well Someone did! 2nd visit; Tried again with the ribeye. Ordered med well, it came very rare. They brought it back cooked correctly, and it was good! No seasoning! Just delicious ribeye flavor. When they brought the plate back, however, with my baked potato was loaded with sour cream.(It was ordered with butter only in the side) So… sent or back again. :( Lastly we tried the mini milkshakes. They are a nice treat but way over priced. $ 2.99 for a shake the size of the salt shaker on the table! 2 Dinners, 3 drinks, 2 mini minishakes and 1 dessert sampler $ 87!

Outstanding service! My steak came out well done when I asked for medium. Immediately my awesome server Samantha corrected the order, the manager Cameron brought out an entire new entrée perfectly cooked. So nice and very helpful!

We had a party of 20 and service could not have been any better. The steaks where tasty and juicy, appetizers where beyond tasty, and the SERVICE… wow!!! They have an outside patio area which feels private and perfect for large parties. Loved my experience at this location.

My family and I have been to this location numerous times. Our dine-in experience has been good for the most part, but the to-go experience has been very lack luster. This last time was no different. They were over a half hour past their quoted time that it would be ready. I decided to walk inside to find out what was going on. When I entered, there was nothing in site but a half-eaten dessert next to their computer, where they take orders. As I glanced to the other side of the room I noticed my order sitting there. I finally found someone and asked them to confirm my findings. When they did I asked how long it had been sitting and was told it just came out and that the kitchen had been backed up all night. I was fine with that and left with my order. When we got home not only was our food cold, but my wife was missing half of her order. I decided to call and speak to the manager the next day. The manager I spoke to was very receptive to my issues and wanted time to investigate them. When he called me back and confirmed everything I had told him, he was extremely apologetic and couldn’t thank me enough for bringing the issues to his attention. He also wanted to make it right by adding me to their VIP list. The attached photo is part of the result of my being a VIP. It was amazing! The four star rating is due to the way the manager handled my issues and the phenomenal food we received after the fact. I will be back… it’s Outback.

Good blooming onion & good server, so a solid three stars for that. I think I was craving a burger so much that the Aged Cheddar Bacon Burger just didn’t size up. It didn’t have the«burger» flavor I was craving, I couldn’t taste the bacon or the«cheddaryness» of the«aged cheddar». My younger son did not like the Mango Salmon, but no surprise there. I tasted it & it tastes like salmon — but it was expensive @ $ 14.99. My older son liked his ribs. I tried one– tasteless & once again expensive at $ 17.99. Maybe my taste buds are on an early summer vaca.

There are ratings based on food, and then there are ratings based on service. This place is a stinker when it comes to service, but the food is consistently good… so three stars it is! There is good stuff on the menu. The seared tuna appetizer is one of my favorites. Honestly the best experiences I’ve had here were when we sat at the bar and just ordered the tuna and a couple margaritas. That combo makes me super happy. Steaks are their thing at Outback, so you can expect them to be prepared well and good cuts of meat. I usually get the mixed veggies and those are really good as well. Oh, but then there’s the service. It is never good. The servers are typically nice, but they must have a really high turn-over in their staff because they usually seem like it’s their first day on the job. Our server last week didn’t know what we meant by «blackened» prime rib. After a lengthy discussion we determined that it was called«Outback style» but come on, it shouldn’t be that difficult. And the service is slow… So, so slow. This is one of the closest restauraunts to where I live, and one of the better nearby options for a steak, but the service is what keeps us from going back. About every 6 months or so we go back, either because we get a gift card or we forget about the last incident. So it’s safe to say I’ll go back again and I can only hope for better service next time.

Went here with my wife for dinner on Saturday night. We have always had a great experience at Outback. We arrived at about 8PM, had a short wait. We were seated, gave the server our drink order and could you bring us a Bloomin’ Onion. This signature appetizer is amazing. all of a sudden, BAM!!! a Bloomin” Onion appears at our table. Our steaks were a little under cooked, but not enough to send back. Overall we have always had a great experience at Outback Steakhouse.

I’ve always had a great experience at this Outback, been coming here for over 5 years. It’s super close to my home. The staff has always been amazingly friendly. The food has always been great — my hubby almost always gets salmon or victoria’s filet. They took it well, and replace it if they don’t. I always get the tilapia, lamb or ribeye and all of which has been great too. Lately I’ve played with getting other things on the menu — I love the salads, french onion soup and apps. But the fish/shrimp/scallop thing on the menu is a joke. It’s portioned for a child or something… the filet of fish is the size of a quarter, smaller than the size of the circular serving cup for dressing that comes with the salad! Ridiculous. I love the Sydney’s Sinful Sundae. The toasted coconut is sooo tasty on that. My family is a huge fan of the chocolate thunder from down under. Great desserts and drinks.
