Fresh, flavorful, and just simply delicious. I had the ½ chicken, veggie rice, plantains. My hubby had the same but with ribs. It’s a must eat when I visit Orlando and i will be visiting again before we leave

The first time my boyfriend and I came here, a SWEET girl wth a hair bow (who looked like Melanie Martinez) gave us a full review of the menu.

The chicken and tropichop (basically a burrito bowl) are great but nothing tops the fried yukka. It has to be the fried version, because the «yukka in garlic sauce» was so terrible it was basically inedible. BUT THE FRIED YUKKA IS LIKE LIGHT DELICIOUS POTATO CLOUDS. If you don’t know what Pollo Tropical is, and you come here on a whim, get the fried yukka.
And dine in. Go up to the sauce bar and try every sauce. I love the garlic cilantro and my boyfriend’s favorite is the pineapple rum. Trust me. We love the sauce more than most things.
Overall, an amazing cheap eat is to have a coupon.

Random drop in @ 10pm. Was driving about looking for something simple to eat. We were amusement park food out and The Waffle House sounded a bit heavy at that time of night. Didn’t want to pay another arm for a meal either. Pollo Tropical was close to our hotel. It seems like the reviews for this location are hit or miss. We must’ve hit. They close at midnight. That’s a plus especially if you’re spending your entire day at one of the many theme parks in the area. This location is clean which is always muy bueno.
Get the chicken! The place is called Pollo right? So get the chicken! I didn’t have any issues with the meat being too dry or anything. I must’ve had a good chef/​prep that day. For a whopping 30 cents extra, I got my meal with all white meat. Still wasn’t dry. Ordered the ½ chicken meal which they gave me two breasts. Is that mistake? I don’t know but I’m not being a sour puss. Got two sides which one being the yellow rice and vegetables. Yep, do it! The second was the corn. A bit excessive on the butter side. Meh. So that order comes out to $ 7.79.
Let’s backtrack. We had a meal in one of theme parks earlier that day for lunch. That came out to about $ 40ish for the two of us. Hell yeah, $ 7.79 is fan-​f-​ing-​tastic at this point. I got three more days of other parks to visit so I’ll take it. Don’t complain too much about the food if the price is this cheap. If you’re paying more, then expectations are obviously going to rise with that price. She got their chicken spinach wrap with plantains (yes!) and a drink for $ 4.99. Total for the bill: $ 13.61 w/​tax. SCORE!
Gave our order at the counter, paid, and sat down. Food came out in about 5 – 10 minutes. Attacked that sauce bar like they were serving truffle butter out of it. No complaints, left happy and quite full. Most importantly, didn’t feel like my bank account took another kick in the huevos.

This place is a must visit! Food is awesome and super cheap, got a plate for $ 7 – 8 bucks and was more than full. The employees are nice and bring the food to your table, they have beers for 2.50 which you can’t beat that and the vibe is cool. They have Caribbean music playing and the décor inside is bright and soothing and very clean. awesome restaurant must visit, better than some more expensive sit down restaurants!!!

Been in Orlando for days and have had a hard time finding something healthy, tasty, and not too expensive. This place was incredible. The food was great. Chicken right off the grill. And it was priced very well. I got full as a tick for like $ 7. If I could I would rate them even higher.

If I could put negative stars, I would. I ordered chicken breast, and Mac and cheese, and my chicken was dryer than the Sahara Desert in a heat wave. I literally choked twice eating this lackluster chicken. The Mac and cheese was crusty, as it had been the final scraping from the bottom of the pan. The worst part was the attitude of the manager, reminded me of that crabby old woman in Monsters Inc. Avoid this place. Go to the one in Osceola parkway, you’re welcome.

Wow first time Pollo Tropical disappointed me in a meal.
The bun was hard when I went up to talk to the manager the cashier made a snide comment about «Some customer wants to complain» I handed it to her and said would you eat this??? She made a face and walked to get another
The other meal was a Guava chicken wrap. This was cold and icky… not good trust me
The girl working delivering food was too busy talking to guys and the cashier and customers wiped down their own tables… also the booth backs have food pushed into the fabric… it’s not like this at any n other I visited so the location needs to overhaul it’s lazy employees.

Visited this place since we are visiting from Miami and this location is clean and the employees are nice and courteous.
Location is good and they are a clean restaurant. I will continue to come.

Love this place. Use to go to the location by Convoy but saw this new location so decided to stop by. I’ll eat at this fast food chicken over KFC and Popeye’s anytime. Much healthier option and also taste much better. I love the curry dipping sauce for the chicken and the dice onion’s for the rice and beans. They have a lot of other side options but those are the only 2 that I use. Service isn’t as good as the other location but I wounded if it is because they are right by the Disney college program housing and they deal with a lot of college students.

Just horrible service! nobody seems interested in what they do for living. the ladies on the kitchen are just rude. I was in line. when the fat ladies in the kitchen saw me from head to toe they immediately told one of the guys to close the door because she thought I had just come in. I placed the order for my daughter and the lady was standing right behind the guy when she immediately told the cashier that they couldn’t make it because there was no more chicken. Very disappointed NEVER come back to this location ever again. and maybe you should consider going to a different one too

My local Pollo!!!
I love me some Pollo and was super excited when I realized one was being built nearby.
I will typically go just before they close during the week after work to grab a quick bite for me and the wife.
Word to the wise, sign up for their emails. I know. I know. These can be annoying sometime but the emails from this business actually provide value and are disseminated VERY frequently.
This can have a downside as I had a few nights there that I had to wait for upwards of ²⁰⁄₃₀ minutes before they told me that they couldn’t figure the coupon code out and comped my meals.
Get the Yucca bites! Oooooo and the garlic sauce! The amazing, amazing garlic sauce. If I come home without it the wifey goes ham :/​and justifiably so.
O and also the last 2 hours they’re open they offer 2/​$ 4 regular size ‘bites’. These include yucca and sweet plantains among others!
Go now! Pollo definitely rocks these socks!

Ugh. So disappointed this visit. The restaurant was completely understaffed. The ladies were working their butts off but there is only so much they can do! Get them some help the restaurant was trashed ! Dirty dishes everywhere, food on the floor, legitimately every single table was dirty! But how can 4 people run a busy restaurant like this. I just wanted to jump in, I felt horrible. Food great, ladies were wonderful trying their absolutely best, but please staff appropriately. This Pollo is in a prime location for tourist and locals. Please don’t let it go down hill!!! Food always on point and honestly it’s a bang for your buck but I’m a big observer of my surroundings. Cleanliness is huge!

Management needs to get this place straightened out as the food here is very good and I love the concept, but service is super disorganized!

Friendly staff but very disorganized when serving customers. First, our order was rung up wrong. Second, I ordered their chicken rice bowl and when they brought out the food, there’s no chicken but only rice bowl and the nerve of the worker telling me that the kids meal don’t come with any chicken. I can’t understand why they don’t know how to read their own menu. Furthermore, who would just order rice only and call it a kids meal. Wtf! Long story short, another worker brought us the chicken for the kids meal.
Then, I fill up the drinks at the fountain machine. I poured sweetened mango tea and the drink was unsweetened. Oh, also, there’s no ice in the machine.
The food was good but I’m quite disappointed with everything else and the fact that this is a new location, I predict this spot will go downhill. Manager needs to run it better and train the staff.

This place is awesome. When you first walk in, the hostess asks where you would like to sit and gives you a table number, which you present when you order your food. There are so many different options and the food is so good! You can definitely taste that it’s fresh. I love the yucca, especially with the cilantro sauce. Yum! Their sweet tea is also really good and not overly sweet or syrupy. After you sit down and your food is delivered, the employees stop by the table and make sure that you are okay. I haven’t tried the drive-​thru but I’m sure they are pretty efficient as this place is always well staffed. This is a great lunch place.

We were greeted immediately upon entering. The brand new store looks amazing. So clean and bright and the employees were very warm and inviting.
I ordered the Tropichop with chicken and the works along with a piece of guava cheesecake. The items were delivered to our table along with real silverware. They have servers that will get you additional sauces and drink refills or to go containers if needed. It’s like quick service and table service combined.
The food was fantastic and so was the service. We will be back!!!

We love it! I’ve been eating at Pollo Tropical for years and really like the fast casual concept and beautiful design. Amazing food, A++ service, a far greater experience than the usual, «No Engleeessssh» attitude of many Pollo Tropicals. Well, those versions of Pollo have the best beans tho :). None the less, we had two people bringing food and taking away plates, I wrote down their names they were so good… Iralies an Manuel. They kept asking how we were doing and if we liked the food. The cashier made a mistake and brought dark meat instead of white, Iralies fixed it right away. Holy cow, amazing she was awesome.
Previous reviews don’t understand that the first few weeks of a new restaurant is challenging and to expect some disorganization. Food was delicious, can’t wait to see more restaurants in this style.

Worst experience at a Pollo Tropical in Florida. night shift is unorganized and not customer service oriented. we went to order a trio but the pork loin was out for the night. we decided to order 2 ½ chickens. they proceeded to tell us that the chicken is out as well. AFTER WE ALREADY PAID… They said they would give us quarter chickens. The young girl at the window was telling us how much bigger the ¼ chicken is than the ½ chicken. WHICH IS FALSE. ½ is bigger than ¼. They didn’t offer us anything or a refund for only receiving a ¼ chicken. very unprofessional and the girls at the drive thru window proceeded to laugh at us and not care about our order. THEY parked our car and 10 minutes later we ARE STILL WAITING FOR THE FOOD. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED.
DO NOT VISIT THIS LOCATION because MANAGEMENT IS UNORGANIZED.

Pretty good food. This half fast food fast casual thing is strange. Other than that everything was good. Food is on point as to be expected when a chain first opens up. Besides the odd seating arrangement everything was good.

Finally! A Pollo Tropical nearby. This is a Hispanic fast food chain that’s really popular in Puerto Rico and Miami in case you aren’t aware about the concept. The best thing of course is the chicken and I usually get it with white rice and red beans and a side of sweet plantains. Get your Hispanic food fix; Yum!
