it’s been sometime, I’m back!!! So it was like 22:30, they were out of spicy breast of course so I went with thighs. I usually never do but from here they deep fry really good. It was a nice late night snack.

This is my second trip during the dinner hour and the second time the service was a joke. The first bad trip was a couple months ago. My wife and I stopped in and not only did we wait what seemed like forever but then the order was not correct. I will have to say that the manager stepped up and comped us for our meal but it did not end there… ALL of the people in the dining room were having their meals comped because it was taking so long. The drive through orders were all being run to the cars because they were taking forever as well. OK well we are all entitled to have an off night because the day shift never seems to miss a beat. I decided to give the night shift a second chance tonight… I ordered my usual two piece combo with breast meat and opted for a side of red beans and rice and let them know it was for here. After waiting for 15 minutes, my food was ready… OOPS, I ordered and paid for all breast meat BUT that is not what I received. I waited about 5 minutes to have the order corrected. OOPS… No silverware to eat my side with… It would not have been a big deal if the silverware was not behind the counter but that is not the case. Service — 1(The staff seemed to be in panic mode, every order had a mistake while I was there and no silverware was provided with my order) Chicken — 2(One breast was over cooked and dry) Red Beans and Rice — 3(The rice excessive, under cooked and it was put into the to go box on its side so it was a mess when opened up) Biscuit — 3(flavor was fine but it was thinner than usual) After 2 bad trips on the night shift I will stick to coming here during the day. I have NEVER seen the day shift in panic mode and they have never messed up my order. The last 2 trips were during the night shift and BOTH experiences were bad. Management needs to either fix the deficiencies or just close the store after lunch because the night shift really seems clueless.

I really hate to admit how much I like this place considering it is definitely not the healthiest! The staff is always super friendly and I feel like I’m family when I visit. They’re always joking around with customer and offering helpful suggestions. Today I went in with a coupon for $ 2.99 for 3 chicken tenders and a biscuit. I feel like I got a lot of food for my money, and was saving room for dessert anyhow. My only complaint about this location is that the tables are often left dirty. But today, an employee was sweeping and cleaning while I was there. In the words of Ahhhnold, I’ll be back!

Awesome food as usual welcome to the neighborhood. Spicy chicken is the best in town. I love the rice and beans

This is East Orlando’s new location for the chain that features(IMO) the best fast fried chicken anywhere .In addition to delicious fried chicken, they occasionally offer shrimp or crawfish tails. Two rice dishes are offered, cajun/dirty rice, or red beans and rice. Either is a nice change from the usual French fries or mashed potatoes most chicken restaurants offer. Sporting the newest Louisiana Kitchen décor, this new restaurant is attractive and has more of a ‘Nawlins feel than the older stores. OK, you won’t think you’re in Louisiana when you visit here, but it’s a pretty spiffy fast food joint anyway. You go here for the chicken, and while all Popeyes aren’t exactly the same in that department this is one of the good ones! My recent visit on a busy Saturday afternoon at the tail of the lunchtime rush found all the employees a bit tired, but still smiling and friendly. The chicken was crunchy and not greasy. It came out quickly. The biscuits would almost please my sister, the biscuit queen of the family. I tried the new ghost pepper wings, and recommend you do the same, if they ever come back. Just a tad more ‘interesting’ than Popeyes spicy fried chicken, the ghost pepper wings come with ranch sauce in case you need to add some cool. An interesting factoid from their website– The restaurant isn’t named for Popeye the Sailor Man of cartoon fame. It’s named after Popeye Doyle from the French Connection movie. BTW, the website has printable coupons, too.
