Never disappointed!!! Best Chinese & Japanese Restaurant in this area! I don’t consider myself a regular at many places but here… I love that the staff knows my name and remembers simple things I like when I am ordering in person.

Out of all the many, many options in Orlando, Summer Palace is our favorite Asian & sushi restaurant. My girlfriend and I love their pork friend rice and their sushi. We order take out or eat there almost once a week. I love their Philadelphia sushi. They provide good size portions and most importantly good quality food. We stopped experimenting with new Asian restaurants since we found Summer Palace.

I did enjoy their chicken tempura roll. It’s my way of eating sushi since I don’t like seafood. Got the chicken fried rice and it was good. Like the container it came in. None of the metal rods to hold it. So easy to microwave if needed.

The freshest Chinese food in Orlando but do not eat in. The service is so bad, I don’t even like going there at all. Do yourself a favor and get it go, then you can get past the rudeness and enjoy a good meal.

Great high quality Chinese food here. I mean it costs about 2 dollars more then your average Chinese restaurant but that’s because they quality of the meat they use is higher. They also have auce sushi for only 17 bucks. So it’s worth the drive no matter how far you live.

I feel like most Chinese food is the same. I get excited to eat it, and I am usually left feeling disappointed. I have treks a few places around the Waterford area and have not been impressed at all. I got a menu for this place and thought I would try it. I really like this place a lot. The portions are huge and food taste fresh with a lot of good flavor. I usually get the garlic chicken dinner combo and my partner gets bourbon chicken dinner combo. I get the veggie fried rice and veggie spring roll. He likes the poem fried rice and egg roll. I love the grid rice here. Tons and tons of veggies in it. Peas, carrots, bean sprouts, baby corn, broccoli, zucchini, onions and mushrooms. I love that! The garlic chicken is a nice and spicy but not in a burn your tongue off kind of way. Loads of red and green bell peppers in too. I love this place!

1) ordered a roast pork dish and got bbq pork. When we explained, the manager acknowledged the misunderstanding but did not offer to replace the dish. 2) ordered a sashimi boat, forgot our miso soup. 3) AYCE options are really limited. You can’t order sashimi but you can order nigiri.

The vegetable fried rice was very good! Had all key components of what fried rice should be: flavorful, crunchy vegetables, and colorful(I’ve had fried rice where it looks washed out or too dark due to too much sauce). One downside is that there water did not taste filtered. Overall, service was great and food was very delicious! I will recommend this place to my fiends and family.

Wife, daughter and I just finished happy hour sushi, drinks and an entrée. Very pleasant dining area. Service was fast. Cooked sushi rolls were crisp. Raw Sushi roll ingredients were all consistently cool. Nigiri sushi fish was fresh tasting and looked good. My daughter really liked the sweet potato sushi and the egg foo young– not a fish fan. Reasonable prices for beer and wine for happy hour. Quite a good find. No problem assigning 5 stars. Great for a family run, non chain local business.

I’ve eaten here several times, and have never been disappointed! Their prices are very reasonable, especially for the size of the portions. I’ve had items from their lunch menu, and it’s one of the best in the area. If you are looking for a quick, tasty meal, you can not go wrong here!

I was in one of those moods where I had no idea what I wanted but wanted to try some place I had not been. After looking up the places I bookmarked, Summer Palace was close by and I thought I would give it a whirl. As I was approaching the door I see a sign that says«All you can eat sushi» and thought… Yeah Right… I walk in and sat down at the sushi bar. I scanned the menu to see what the Chinese offerings were but the sushi in the case looked fresh so I ordered the«All you can eat sushi along with some miso soup and my usual iced tea. They did not have any lime so I had lemon with my tea this evening. While waiting for my miso soup I was brought some fried wonton strips with duck sauce to dip them in. It was different but I liked it. The miso soup was nothing special and a bit bland so I will skip it the next time I stop by. The sushi offered on the AYCE menu was a nice mixture of cooked and uncooked along with come nigiri offerings. I tried the spicy Tuna, spicy Salmon and Tuna and avocado rolls which are 8 pieces each. From the nigiri selection I had some Mackerel, Tuna, Escolar and Salmon. The presentation was a bit on the amateurish side and the rice could have been a wee bit stickier but the fish was good and fresh so for $ 18 I would call it a great deal if you are not looking for picture perfect sushi. Atmosphere — 3 Service — 4 Miso soup — 2 Spicy Tuna — 4 Spicy Salmon — 3 Tuna/Avocado — 2 Mackerel — 3 Tuna — 4 Escolar — 4 Salmon — 3 It is not the best sushi in town but if you are not nit picky on presentation, you will definitely leave happy. I saw several of the Chinese dishes served to the other tables and the food looked and smelled good so I will have to go back to check out the Chinese offerings…

Wooowww… this had to be the crappiest dinner service I’ve experienced in a long time, and at like six thirty on a Friday night. My wife and I got the all you can eat sushi. Instead of service, at one point the one waiter is sitting down at one of the booths with the lady who makes the sushi, and they’re both eating dinner. My wife and I sat there for twenty minutes waiting for them with empty plates and glasses. The front end manager was sitting behind the cash register stand playing on her phone. Wow. What a crappy place. Like, we were the only customers there and were literally being ignored.

Bland bland bland… This place was a total disappointment. The rice tasted like nothing, the pork in the rice tasted like it went bad and was reheated. I love egg rolls and theirs was a flop it was crisp on the outside but had cellophane noodles laced through out with little cabbage and bad tasting pork. The general tso was ok at best but so breaded there was little chicken. The highlight of the meal was the chicken wings totally plain but crispy.

Summer Palace is my families go to Chinese place. Mongolian beef is the best I have had and the sushi and everything I have had there is amaz-balls. Hot and sour soup is soooo good when you are sick too. Love you my summer of palaces.

Because you are lukewarm… I am about to spit you out of my mouth. –Revelation 3:16 Unfortunately, this place is just mediocre. It only gets three stars for the chicken wings. Everything else was just meh. We ordered Chicken 3 Ways(or whatever it was called). It wasn’t even hot. I can’t stand cold food! There is no excuse. Even if it were hot, though, it wouldn’t have been that good. At least we had the chicken wings to fall back on. We won’t be back unless we’re in the area and really craving wings.

Very good lunch deal but questionable service. This was my first trip to Summer Palace. My group of friends, 4 guys, all of us got the General Tso chicken since it’s a safe choice for a Chinese restaurant. The waiter gave us menus and some paper forms to order sushi. When he took the order, he asked for the sushi forms back. I asked to keep it because, since the dinner price was double what the lunch price is, if it wasn’t enough, I wanted to order a sushi roll. He begrudgingly left it. But every time he came to refill the drinks, he’d ask for it again. After the third time, I literally explained to him«I’ve never been here before and I might order sushi if the Tso is too small.» Finally he seemed to understand and left. The egg drop soup was good and everyone seemed to enjoy the wonton soup. When the Tso arrived, while I was trying to make sure I’d gotten my proper meal, and since the table next to us was eating sushi and it looked good, I thought I’d order something. That’s when I noticed that the sushi menu and order form was gone. The waiter’d gotten it when I wasn’t looking. The meal was fine and ended up being filling, but I’d wished I’d order sushi anyway. When the check arrived, it wasn’t split. When the server came back, he agreed to split it. Normally, any restaurant will split the check and bring as many itemized checks as requested for the customer. Not this guy. He took the check to the counter then came back without any checks, just took our cards, one at a time, and brought them back with the receipts to be signed. Nothing itemized. Just, here’s what you’ve been charged. That’s just weird. How would you know if you were overcharged or not? First of all, regarding the sushi menu, I shouldn’t have to explain myself. Second, he shouldn’t have asked for it back when I told him I wanted to hang on to it. He could clearly see that I was looking at it. My friends were looking at it too. They all assumed, like I did, that the portion would be half the size because it’s half the price. Third, what restaurant doesn’t bring itemized receipts? That’s pretty standard. While the service was quick and polite overall, and he was very good about filling the water, I can’t help but think that the only reason the water was filled so efficiently was so he could try to retrieve the sushi order form.

I order take out from Summer Palace on occasion when I don’t feel like driving all the down Colonial for more authentic Chinese food at Tasty Wok. Summer Palace is a legit dine-in/take out Chinese food restaurant for the Avalon Park/Waterford area. I prefer Summer Palace over the other spots that are located in Avalon Park by far. Their hot’n’sour soup looks like the average Chinese take out hot n sour soup, but has good flavor and a good amount of sour. Just the way I like it. Portions are also very generous. For a $ 13 Szechuan Beef dinner combo you get a choice of soup(you can sub for hot n sour for a small add-on) an egg roll, and cha siu(red roasted pork) fried rice. They give you an entire rectangular plastic container of the Szechuan Beef. Other places will put both the rice and your Szechuan Beef in that container for their combos. So Summer Palace doesn’t skimp on portions. I haven’t had their sushi, so i can’t comment on that. They do an AYCE for $ 18, probably on a limited selection basis.

I have finally found my favorite Chinese spot! This place is amazing! Good food, big portions, excellent service, this is definitely a hidden gem. Here’s the breakdown: Food: The food is devine. I had General Tso’s and usually I find that most places there’s more breading than chicken. Not so much here. The chicken had just the right amount of meat and the spice was on point. The egg rolls were crispy and the sushi roll was amazingly fresh. Service: Excellent! It doesn’t get any better. They are beyond professional and kind. I was really SUPER impressed because I’ve had such bad experiences at other places. Décor: I don’t eat in here but to me the place is decorated very tastefully without being too cliché
