Great sushi for a great price. I got the caterpillar roll, which is a California roll with avocado on top. Everything was very fresh and tasty. I didn’t even need soy sauce. My husband got the 12 piece sashimi plate. His was the true test to freshness. We are frequent sushi diners and his fish was up there with a few of the higher end restaurants we frequent. Love this place and the prices. Can’t beat it. I rated it $$ because the sashimi dish was $ 15 but the rolls are under $ 10. We will be back!

Tried this place because of the reviews on Unilocal and it did not disappoint. The place is a hole in the wall but the sushi is amazing and not expensive. I wish they had a location in Miami.

Budget sushi place! Very cheap! Don’t get the sashimi(below average), settle for the rolls. The salmon California roll was pretty good for the price. Salad was good and simple, ask for dressing on the side. Didn’t try a specialty roll but they looked nice. Fast service! Come for a quick lunch or dinner. Maybe not a great place for bougie date night. :)

Cheap quality specialty rolls! I hated everything about it, I was on vacation and wanted sushi and tried out this place that seemed to have good reviews and it was so bad, rice was horrible and the fish wasn’t fresh, not happy at all

The prices are great! The rolls are not huge as a result– similar to the size of grocery store sushi! But if you need a quick delish fix for sushi satisfied, this is your spot! We had the volcano and the dynamite(inside out). The Volcano is just a California roll with Baked Volcano Sauce(crab stick and spicy mayo with nelly cheese atop). I wish we had just gotten 2 of those, because we were pretty hungry! I thought it was neat that they had sake too!!!

Sushiology is our go-to place to have sushi ever since we know of it’s existence. Staff is nice and friendly. Prices are cheap compared to other sushi places and quality is great. Their fish is always fresh and their agedashi tofu has yet to be beaten– best I have tasted in town so far. Lately though, they had been lacking a bit in presentation, especially with the avocado rolls. The have been using avocados with a lot of brown spots and it affects the taste and experience. The place is tiny, and you will most likely have issues finding where to sit, especially if going with a big group but you can always order for pick up, in any case. Orders are usually ready in 15 minutes depending on size. I will always recommend this place. You should definitely try it!

No frills, few tables, great prices, and sushi that comes quick. They have a decent size menu for such a tiny place. Has a few tables to sit at, not a typical sushi place as far as size and décor goes. –Nigiri pieces were pretty cheap. –Made my order very fast. –Doesn’t have all the fish you would find at a bigger place. –Fish tasted fresh enough. Did the trick for me, can save you money here if you’re on a budget.

What a pleasant surprise! We found ourselves hungry one night after settling into our I-drive hotel. After checking Unilocal and browsing the many options in the area, we decided that this is what we wanted. I really liked the various combos that they have, so we ordered the comet set, which was like 30 pieces of assorted sushi(rolls and nigiri). We also ordered 3 other rolls, bringing our total to around $ 45. Definitely a good value for all we got. We called ahead, so it was ready when we got there. This is a very small place with some tables inside. Behind the counter are the chefs with all the fish, rice, sauces, etc in front of them ready to go. The sushi was very good! We liked every roll and piece that we had. Given the value, decent quality, variety of rolls, and ease of order/pick up, we would definitely go here again if in the area looking for sushi to go.

It’s sushi fast food. As such, it’s unfair to expect too much. However, even by these standards it’s just ‘ok’, and frankly if you want to have a quick bite you are just as well served going to the local Publix grocery store and picking up a sushi container. While not terrible, their fish isn’t particularly fresh or high quality. They also don’t really get the proper rice packing technique, as the rice in the pieces is somewhat loose and doesn’t hold together. The vinegar to rice ratio is also a bit off. Overall, they don’t have a great sense of what makes the flavor of Japanese food and/or sushi. So, basically: acceptable level sushi if you are running errands, but not worth making a point to visit.

I’m so glad I found this sushi place on a day I was craving sushi! This place definitely left me satisfied! Don’t expect a huge place. This almost feels like a fast food place because of its furniture and how small the place is. I would say you can probably fit 16 people at the most inside, and that’s if you’re taking all seats. There is no sushi bar where you ask the sushi chef to make your order. You go to the counter, look at the menu, tell them what you want, and pay. Almost like a to-go place, but you have the option to dine in if you want. First thing I loved about this place is how cheap everything is. You can get a combination 6pc nigiri sushi for $ 7!!! You can also get a combo nigiri sushi and roll for about $ 11. I ordered the Kamikaze roll, Samba nigiri combination, and shumai(pork dumplings). The kamikaze roll was the perfect bite size. I’ve had sushi so big that I’ve had to cut it in pieces, but this roll was very easy to eat. The rice was sticky and did not fall apart. I loved the flavor. Based on the name, I just thought it would have some spiciness in it, but it had a spicy level of 0. Nevertheless, the flavor was still there. The shumai pork dumplings were okay. Good, but not my favorite part of the meal. Samba nigiri combination includes 2 pieces of salmon, 2 pieces of shrimp, and 2 pieces of tuna. Very easy to eat and the rice remained in tact. It was so good that I had to order another round. If you see yourself driving north on International Drive and craving a quick bite of sushi, I would recommend this place.

Little hole in the wall… do not judge this book by it’s cover. Take-out or very tight eat-in(3 tables)…doesn’t matter. THEFOODISAMAZINGANDFOR A GREATPRICE!!! Had the Rainbow and the Dragon… Awesome!

Second visit to Sushiology. First was 4.5 years ago. Place is still similar to what I remember, but maybe a slight drop in quality. There is no ‘service’ — you order, sit down, and they call you back to the counter when it’s ready. Price is OK, particularly if you get the combo deals(they have a 64 piece nigiri /roll deal for $ 44) but quality is still middle of the road. Not too bad for a quick meal, but if you’re looking for high quality/style, maybe go elsewhere. I’ve never been in a restaurant where they ask you to ‘clean your own table’, but now, I have! :) Also — I took Über to/from the restaurant since I was staying at a hotel on iDrive. The signage for this place is TERRIBLE! I don’t think they have a sign on the road and the Über drivers had a hard time finding it to drop me off and again to pick me up.

Fast, affordable, and delicious. Staff was friendly and paid attention to detail(low sodium vs regular soy sauce, made sure food was packaged well). Would definitely go back and recommend to anyone.

Service and food excellent. I agree with another reviewer. Try the tropical rolls. They’re neat and yummy. Also try one of their Japanese cold drinks. Atmosphere more quick service than restaurant.

LOVE this place. The quality of the fish is outstanding and the prices are enough to come and give it a shot! I got the vegetable tempura for $ 4.50, the Salmon CC roll for $ 5.50, and the Caterpillar for $ 7.50, all was so delicious! Our hotel is right across the street so we will definitely be back. Also it’s very clean and the service is very nice :) very wonderful experience

I came to Orlando with my friends for vacation and we found this place. The store is small(it has only 3 tables but the price of the food is really cheap. Food taste fantastic and yummy. Sake don and tuna don cost about 6 – 7 dollars and its bit little but I accepted the portion compared to the price. I recommend teriyaki don cuz price is cheap and portion is durable. Sushi taste amazing. I’ll come back here next day and still had the same service which is awesome ! When you have chance to come here. Just take it TOGO order. I’ll probably spent twice as much if I went to other places.

This place is a tiny little storefront in a strip mall between a Pondarosa and a tattoo parlor. Really that means it could be anywhere along International Drive because there are so many Pondarosas and tattoo parlors. But the food was good and quick. I had the special sweet potato roll, spicy tuna roll and steamed gyoza, all of which were fresh, tasty and served up fast. As I mentioned this is a very tiny shop and I think there were only three tables in the whole place — but that was a good thing for me. I was traveling in the area and was glad that I could grab something fresh and go back to my hotel with it — really convenient. Nice to have a spot like that, dontcha think?

Quick, simple, to the point sushi place. Small and basic inside but that doesn’t matter. The sushi is pretty inexpensive but quite yummy. We had the chicken roll, California and side of edamame. Not busy inside so we had super fast turn around. Over all pleased and will return again when the sushi kick hits!

Wow, can’t believe I found a place with such cheap ANDGOOD sushi. My only regret is we only visited this place once on our tríp. This place is all about the bare basics and with prices as low as they are I am okay with that. You order your food and go up and get it when when its ready, you also get your own pop and refills again I was okay with that. The sushi itself was fresh and so good. If you are in the area and looking for quick cheap bite, come here now!

So I chose to eat at this little sushi joint based on its reviews. Bad decision. My bf and I ordered the Tekka Don(tuna) and Shake Don(salmon) bowls and a Negihama Maki(yellowtail) roll. The tuna and salmon in our bowls may have been the smallest, thinnest pieces of fish we’ve ever had. It was hard to tell if the fish were fresh because you could barely taste the flavor on such a thin slice. The rice was way too heavy on the vinegar so it may have contributed to the flavoring. If I had a ruler, the pieces would be no more than 0.5 cm thick. I was also disappointed with the yellowtail roll since the fish in the roll did not have the coloring nor taste of yellowtail. This food is not cheap since they skimp you on the fish. I have yet to try other sushi places in Orlando so maybe my standards are too high? This place is definitely for tourists who haven’t had good sushi or regulars who don’t know what good sushi is. I gave an extra star because I really liked the hot green tea, the place was clean(but the toilet needs a little work with the flushing), and service was good. For a fast food sushi place, I’ve definitely had better elsewhere.

Cheap, cheap, cheap. I don’t think I’ve ever come across a place with decent sushi for as low of a price. You get what you pay for, and what you get is good enough. Also, they offer a range of Japanese beer, sake and wine that is also super cheap. Grab one of those while you’re at it since most likely who ever is reading this is on vacation. HECK, grab one if you’re not on vacation. You probably need it more… :P The inside is teeny tiny. Nothing fancy about it. There are three tables,(it’s more catered to take out), but we were able to score a table by the time we finished ordering our food. Service was good. They do charge extra for any sauces(spicy mayo, eel) you may want.
