Place is awesome! It’s more fast food style which is perfect because it keeps the prices low. Super quality sushi for a great price. Staff is friendly and courteous. Great for a quick lunch or dinner. Defiantly worth trying.

Good sushi @ reasonable price! Real deal! Fresh and awesome! From Hawaii and know quality ! Needed sushi rice and miso for my son. Wife and I had the other stuff! Enjoyed everything we ordered. In fact, came back the next day for more! Will probably come back multiple times before we leave.

Didn’t get to eat here because they don’t take AmEx but I wasn’t so keen on it anyway. It’s not a sushi bar, there isn’t a bar to be served at here. It’s more of a cafeteria. The appearance is unappealing. I reviewed the menu and they don’t have many of the rolls I’m used to at other sushi places. The employee was quite nice but not really knowledgeable about the food.

Very good and authentic locale. It’s very simple but fast and friendly with fair prices. We really enjoyed all of the dishes from miso soup to shrimp tempura, volcano roll and chirashi donburi. Also, the spicy tofu is so good!

Best fast casual sushi I’ve had. We had six rolls and the chicken teriyaki. Everything was super flavorful. Their take on a spicy tuna and shrimp tempura roll were top notch. Wish I lived locally.

Was a great place for lunch. The price was a little higher than other Orlando sushi, however location location location. Staff was quick and helped us find the exact food item we wanted. I very often just tell people what I like and they did the rest.

It was late in Florida after a fun day at one of the Disney Parks and there was nothing that was open. However, this place was open and it looked promising so we made our short trip to get dinner here. I was pretty happy we decided on this place last minute because the food was really good. This is a quick and delicious stop for some fresh sushi or sashimi. The fish was thick, cold, and fresh. I gobbled it up so quickly that I had to order a chirashi to settle my hunger. I wasn’t as happy with the chirashi as my sashimi, but the chirashi was so cheap that I guess I shouldn’t have expected too much. There was a lot of rice compared to fish and toppings. We also got the dessert, which was pretty good. We got the fried banana. It’s worth it if you’re craving something sweet at the end of your meal.

They had nice veggie sushi options. My friend who eat fish also enjoyed her meal. Not a «traditional» sushi place feel but the service was fast and I was able to eat lots of vegan friendly sushi.

If you can get past the horrible smell of fry grease it might be ok. Oh but wait slow slow slow so you have time to savor the smell of grease! I was literally the only person in the restaurant and it’s taking 15 + minutes to get two rolls! If I wasn’t so hungry would walk out!

This review is based on nigiri and food with cooked fish. The service is great and friendly. This place is like fast food sushi, so you should lower your expectation. The rice was most likely shaped by a machine. It is really dense for nigiri. I personally will never order something with raw fish at this place.

After premium outlet shopping, wondering where to eat a quick but healthy one. This shop came up and we can not reject Japanese food. It is a neat fast casual concept with in trend decoration in a nice location right beside the outlet and the public corner. The menu has a lot to choose and very good price for sushi. Do not compare this to fine dining for both fancy utensils and price. The food is fresh and tasty, period. This reminds me a lot the real Japanese piandang shop all over every corner in Japan. A quick fix or cost effective place or great for take out. Highly recommended.

A spartan, cafeteria like space. Greeted by the cashier who asks what we want to eat. We order Nigiri Salmon, hamachi and maguro. Green tea and water. All business, we are asked to pay first which we do. The tea is served in styrofoam. Our nigiri comes and is wonderful. We then order a soft shell crab roll, a kamikaze roll and an eel California. These are also very good. The food is really good here. If you are looking for good quality sushi/sashimi this place could fit the bill. We were a bit put off at first by the brusqueness of the service but the food compensated. I looked at the menu before we went and was concerned about the escolar and tilapia on the sashimi menu but we did not get those fish. A good place for a great piece of sushi/sashimi. Not at all pretentious. Mark & Nancy.

Very tasty doesn’t sit too heavy. Very affordable. But you do get what you pay for. It’s affordable because the portions are small but still filling. The staff was very nice. The cashier was sweet and patient. The kitchen staff smiled at us from the window behind the cashier. Both said bye at the end of our visit. Really cute place. Place is clean and organized. I would definitely give this a go again. One less star only because you have to pay extra for any sauce.

Came here on a whim while looking for food around the area. Decent cheap sushi. If you’re expecting quality sushi, you will be disappointed. My boyfriend and I shared the comet and he also had a gyu-don. Both were very good and very filling. I also split the 6 piece sashimi appetizer with my sister. We were able to ask for all salmon! Our favorite. The most disappointing item was the chirashi… My sister ordered this and it looked… sad. I wish I took a picture… The food came out decently fast for the amount of food that we ordered.

A little hidden clean sushi place. Our four variety of sushis were made within 10 minutes. I was able to see him make it. The salmon roll had a tiny piece of cream cheese. The tempura salmon had a small piece of cooked salmon which I was surprised. The chicken tempura was delicious with the garlic mayo swirl over it. I guess for the price its alright.

We got a carryout to bring to our hotel to eat. The sushi overall was not great. The best was the eel roll which was very tasty. The tempura salmon roll was soggy/doughy and had cooked salmon which I wasn’t expecting. It was also majority rice with the teeniest bit of salmon and cream cheese. The kamakaze roll was okay, but the tuna was also cooked which again I wasn’t expecting. My brother got a beef bowl and he said it was just okay. I also wish that we could’ve ordered half rolls for any of the rolls! The carryout order did come out pretty fast and it was a good deal(2 half rolls, 1 full roll, 1 rice bowl came out to $ 23 total). But that’s what is saving it for me. Maybe if I order different rolls next time I can up the rating!

This is a fast food style restaurant, you gotta order at the counter, pick up your food at the counter and clean your table when you’re done. I give this place only 2 stars because the sashimi cuts were very thin and small and the scallop hand-roll tasted weird and didn’t look or taste anything like scallop, plus the rice wasn’t cooked properly so it was hard.

Decided to try this out looking for some inexpensive yet hopefully tasty sushi. The rolls were small & scrawny, full of rice and pricey for what you Got, you didn’t get much for 40 bucks! I’ve had better grocery store sushi. Definitely a must skip there are plenty of other places with better food.

This is definitely one of the more unconventional sushi dojo places but more what I’m used to since I’m from Hawaii. Great prices and the food was fresh. The rice could have been a bit more moist but what can you expect with a place like this. Quick, fresh, huge selection, and a great friendly staff.

It’s not fast food… Its good food quickly. My wife and I have been coming here for years at least 5 years even before they revamped this location. I remember my comet platter being 100% consistent in quality every time. Tonight has been the first time in about a year(while my wife was pregnant we didn’t eat here for obvious reasons.). So I was hyped to eat here tonight. Well I was a bit disappointed. One year ago I would have given this place a 5 star review easily but not tonight. The food was good but not great. The tuna was shredded, the rolls where lopsided. And the eel was cold not even lukewarm(I live with-in 3 mins drive from here so it couldn’t have cooled down that quick.). The increase in price is what really caught me off guard. But I do completely understand circumstances like new employees and rise in rent or an increase in sea food prices. The restaurant is very clean and the customer service was friendly and very fast. The service has always been great here. My review on the food was for tonight only; maybe it was an off night maybe not. Only my next visit will tell. Ill just have to live with the price change. I will definitely update my review on my next visit.

Fresh fast food sushi. Literally. You order from the front counter and give your name. Sushi prices are on the cheaper side since you’re not paying for the service. Sushi is surprisingly fresh and is still made by hand despite no official sushi chef. Asian snacks are for sale at the front of the house, ranging from shrimp fries, wasabi peas, and seaweed wrapped rice crackers. Definitely a place to check out if you’re looking(or happen to stumble by) this non-traditional sushi dojo.

One of the employees embarrassed me because I don’t know this is «fast-food Japanese cuisine», which means this is completely self-service. When I came to the counter said«table for two», one of the employees ask the cashier«did he said table for two!?» And then laugh. Rudest restaurant in the hospitality industry, and good luck with such a rude employee. Food is so so.

With the places we wanted to go to closed on Christmas day, we decided to try something different. Walking into the place, was really hesitant about ordering from a counter… But happily, everything was really fresh and tasting. We started with seaweed salad, edmame, softshell crab, tempura shrimp and tako yaki. All were well executed. Also ordered Agadashi, while the sauce was a little thicker than I liked, still very nicely done. We had the paradise and twister rolls as well as some combo sashimi and all were excellent and fresh. Kids had the california rolls and had no complaints.

Would probably have given it 31/2*‘s if I could. This place is tucked away from most tourists, but we happen to find it. Spider roll was good, their special sauce made it. $ 12/12pieces was a deal. Oceania Combo. The Tofu steak was cooked in Teriyaki but drowning in garlic. Soup, salad & other Sushi was standard food. Toilet was nasty, drink machine was leaking on the floor– which left me questioning the overall cleanliness of the place. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The menu had pictures with descriptions. parking was plentiful and convenient. It is Christmas and they’re open until 11pm

Every single Unilocal review on here has got to be a fake account. This place is absolutely wretched. First off, OURCREDITCARDNUMBERWASSTOLENHERE!!! Do not go to this place much less use a credit card there!!! The selection is so slim and they don’t let you modify the rolls. None of the rolls on the menu sounded appetizing and the prices on the online menu were not the same as the prices in the restaurant. They also make you pay extra for spicy mayo or eel sauce… Who does that?! When we finally got our sushi, the rolls would fall apart as soon as you pick them up and they tasted like you ordered sushi from McDonald’s. We each could only stomach about 2 peices and then we asked for our money back because we were very displeased. We were given a full refund but like I said our card number was stolen.

Good sushi at a great price! It’s rare to see Japanese food this cheap, and Sushiology is able to make it cheaper because you order at a counter and also clean up your table after you’re done eating. I’ll take it! They also stay open later than most restaurants, so it was Sushiology or fast food. I probably would have chosen Sushiology over other restaurants, too. The service is quick, which was what we were looking for as well. The selection of rolls and dishes is also extensive enough that you should be able to find plenty of menu items you’ll love. If I lived in Orlando, I would definitely be back.

The rice wasn’t good, a big part of sushi, the fish smelled old, and tasted Meh. It’s self-service as in you walk up to the register, order and they call your order when it’s ready(so why have a tip line on the receipt when I did all the work?). Gross.

Nice little place with a huge selection of cheap yet decent sushi and other Japanese food. We ordered the Oceana platter, the gyudon and seared tuna. The place was clean, staff were friendly and dishes were reasonably priced. Nice find for the price and freshness not to mention cleanliness. Wow. Read some mixed reviews, but more positive than negative. We have had sushi all over the U.S. and have pretty specific tastes when it comes to fresh fish. The restaurant is tucked into a shopping center, but it’s a very nice area and appealing store front, windows all around. The menu is actually way more extensive than I expected for this quick service spot. Yes, you eat off of paper plates and use plastic ware, and clean up after yourself at the end of your meal. I will do this all day long for unbelievably low priced sushi. Our food came out quickly(mind we were the only ones eating in at the time) and my whole family was racing at how delicious everything came out. We had baby octopus, steamed goyza, edamame and miso soup all super flavorful and same caliber as any top sushi joint. We ordered 6 different rolls: spicy tuna, kamikaze, twister, california, dragon, and a rainbow and my only complaint was that they didn’t have soy paper(wrap) as I am not a huge fan of traditional seaweed. Other than that– very good– we devoured every last grain of rice. Sure it’s not the best sushi we’ve ever eaten, but it’s also not grocery store sushi– we will gladly be back or visit any other Sushiology no question. Bottom Line: You cannot beat these prices for fresh and tasty sushi.

Honestly, what would I do without Unilocal to help me out on trips! Looking for a place to eat Sushi but within walking distance of the hotel we stayed in during our trip to Orlando, I came across Sushiology. The name really got to me, so we decided to have a quick walk here. Wow, it did NOT disappoint! The place looked very clean, with simple but efficient interior. There is a huge(!) many right beside the wall where you come in, you pick which ones you like, tell the cashier(and provide them with the beverages you’d like to have), and have a seat. In about 10 minutes, the entire order was ready and nicely served! The quality of the fish was great, the rice was in some cases a little bit too hard; luckily those were exceptions. The hurricane and paradise rolls were our favorites. This really is a very nice place if you don’t want to spend a lot of time in the restaurant(you can also pick up your food to eat somewhere else) but just want good quality sushi. Not sure if this is a chain, but if it is, I’ll find it and go there again!

Fast food sushi… not a bad concept if the quality of the fish stays on the upper level of fresh. There isn’t a pretty and dark décor, it’s more like a cafeteria or a McDonalds lobby, but the prices don’t have to be high to pay for waitstaff and romantic lighting. I stopped by just to see about something simple like a California roll and a couple pieces of Nigiri and found that the guys(chefs) preparing everything were really talented. I can’t say that this was the best sushi I’ve ever had, but it most definitely wasn’t the worst. It is kinda of like hitting Taco Bell… when you crave it and are in a hurry, you don’t have time to sit and wait. I would go to either of their locations any time, but the one near the South end of I-drive is much bigger and busier so the turnover of product is likely higher and hopefully that means fresher.

This is one of my favorite places to get sushi. It’s a small, hole in the wall place, with solid food. I have eaten about half their menu and yet to find one thing I did not like. The Dragon and Rainbow Rolls continue to be my favorite.
