The food was good, the ambiance was nice and entertaining. Great place for groups of friends and celebrations. Entertaining show as well. Galbis and octopus were the two best plates.

Service wonderful! Food excellent! Aesthetics beautiful! You feel like you’re visiting Spain! They have a DJ playing music while Flamingo dancers are going around the restaurant. The paella was delish! Almost as good as Barcelona! Must try the churo’s for desert!

The ambiance and service deserve 5 stars. Unfortunately the food lacked any of the true flavors of Spain. I know this is not Spain but they did not represent even a small eccessence of true Spanish cooking. We were very optimistic after reading the menu but we’re totally disappointed in the food. After having just spent three weeks in Spain we had much higher expectations.

We were visiting the Orlando Eye and then found this amazing place for a quick bite and drink. It was early afternoon and they were having happy hour with a delicious menu. I had a glass of a tasty and refresher red sangria. For appetizer we order slider with potatoes and bacalao fish croquette. Our bartender was very polite and professional and knowledgeable. Looking forward to go back there and enjoy a full dinner menu.

A little over priced but the place is gorgeous, free valet, service was good & the taste of the food was fairly good. We were a really large party of 17 so I can’t really blame them for not timing our meal right(entrees came out at different times) and the paella takes really long to make, but all in all we had a nice time here.

Discovered this place while looking for lunch. Loved the décor and ambiance instantly walking in. They had just opened so it was pretty empty and we sat at the bar. I had the red sangria, my favorite. We ended up trying a few tapas including stuffed potato balls, shrimp and marinated potatoes. Everything was tasty and the service from the bartender was excellent.

Once we walked in, there was a DJ. Meh. The music was loud and annoying. Very cold inside. They sat us right away though. We sat in front of the paella grill, which was awesome to watch. And it was the only«warm» section of the whole restaurant. Like most tapas places, prices are a bit steep for the small plates you get. My favourite was the Pulpo a la Plancha($ 15 with octopus/grapes/green olive purée/red potatoes/piquillos). Very well cooked and delicious. I also ordered the Croquetas de Bacalao($ 12 with cod & potato croquets/lemon/honey alioli) which was alright. I barely tasted the cod. We split the Papas Bravas($ 7 with crispy red potatoes/alioli/spicy tomato sauce) which is very spicy, which I liked but I’ve had better elsewhere. We also split the Kurobuta Tocino($ 12 with crispy pork belly, local honey, marcona almonds, carrot purée, mache salad, and sherry). We were told this was the best and were super excited. The sauce was good but the pork belly was overcooked to the point of meh. So, in the end, I only really loved one dish out of everything I had. The service was friendly and our waitress was very nice. However, we couldn’t even hear her over the DJ. Not sure I’d return especially because I’ve had WAY better tapas in other cities.

This restaurant drips sex. It oozes it. I want to be taken here and proposed to. It had a gorgeous, almost candle lit interior, warm reds and browns. It plays sultry samba and salsa music, and the paintings change, just like Hogwarts. The food is tasty(our group of three shared six tapas, including an off the menu Spanish tortilla) and I enjoyed both of the cocktails I sampled. The restaurant is expensive, but the service was attentive and the ambiance can’t be beat. Check this out when in hip Orlando.

This place is beautiful, nice ambiance but outrageously expensive! I still can’t believe we paid $ 15 for three pieces of octopus. The cod croquettes were okay, weren’t great and we paid an absurd amount for it. The wine was excellent at a high price. We only had those things and paid $ 80! I can’t imagine if we had a paella dinner. Plus they have a flamenco show, that is why we went and she was great but is just one girl moving around the restaurant… And the restaurant is big. I don’t think we’ll visit again.

New hotspot! Rolled in late and the staff was more than willing to serve us. They’re open until midnight y’all! The place is super fun and not super touristy like everything on I-drive.(Although it is located at the«eye»). Highlights: — The Gambas Al Ajillo(shrimp) was lick-the-bowl good. — Pulpo Al La Plancha(octopus) was meaty without being chewy. Also it’s on the frias menu but comes out hot. — Tortilla de españa(not on the menu) was balanced and not as eggy as I thought it would be. — The Kuboto(pork belly) was the fan favorite; good but not mine. It was light and crispy but a little fatty. Still super tasty. Lowlights: Sadly both the bread items were okay but everyone had regrets ordering them. — Pan con tomate — six bites, not great. — Datiles con pan — tasty but still. Five bites of dates and goat cheese for $ 12. Meh. All in all, three of us ate like kings and we even threw in a few drinks for a hundred or so bucks. This would be a great date spot! BUTNOT A «THIRDDATESPOT;» YOUMIGHTJUSTGETPREGNANT. Hey Tapa Toro — you should offer late night drink specials! :)

Tapa Toro is located at the I-Drive 360, and I stopped by for leisurely lunch before my visit to the Orlando Eye. As a Spanish tapas restaurant, they have a nice list of Spanish wine and it was easy to spot my favorite Spanish wine. Tapas goes really well with Spanish wine, I don’t know which came first wine or food, they are meant to enjoy together. Based on my wine selection, I chose three hot tapas(tapas caliente) for my lunch. Gambas al ajillo(shrimp dish with garlic and lemon sauce.) cod and potato croquettes, and grilled asparagus. Manchego cheese on the asparagus went together very well, I added manchego cheese on my list of cheese to buy when I get home. Sauce on the shrimp dish flavor was so good, I wanted to lick the plate(which I didn’t do but I wanted). For desert, I ordered churros. Served with condensed milk, chocolate and strawberry sauce. I tried all three and chocolate was heavenly. Service was a bit slow but it was weekend lunch, they were not that busy and I was on vacation. I enjoyed my lunch at the nicely decorated restaurant. I am sure they get busy at night time and will have different ambiance.

The location is set in a nice shopping center. Beautiful staff, very kinda and chic décor inside with chairs that look like they are from the set of Beetle Juice. The food was very good, great variety and lots of price options. The paella was very very good. I really enjoyed the papas bravas. We sat at the Paella Bar and watched them make it. We came for lunch, but apparently they have flamenco dancers and a DJ tonight. Bummer we will miss it!

We decided to have lunch this afternoon at Tapa Toro and unfortunately it was not a memorable food experience. I want to write this review based on constructive criticism and not as a negative review. Having lived in Spain for many years and being half Spaniard, I’ve been exposed to the flavors and foods of Spain. The authenticity of the Spanish flavors were missing in many of the dishes we tried. I fully understand that we are not in Spain and these restaurants have to adapt to American culture but the flavors of Spain have to be represented in some way, shape or form. The ambiance and service at this restaurant receive 5 stars, hands down. It is very well decorated and it looks super classy thanks to the numerous paintings on the walls and elegant décor. The service was also very good and our server Antonio was professional, friendly and represented the restaurant to the best of his ability. The lunch menu is very different than the dinner menu and I feel the lunch menu is too limited. They did accommodate requests from their Dinner menu and for that we were thankful. Now to the food: 1. Papas Bravas(Angry Potatoes): These are very popular in Spain and this dish consists of white potatoes cut into various shapes and served with a top secret hot sauce. The Bravas at Tapa Toro are red potatoes and they are missing and in desperate need of that hot sauce. They tasted like normal boiled potatoes with some kind of red sauce that was not spicy at all. I would change the name of these to House Potatoes. 2. Albondigas De Res(Beef Meatballs): These were one of the highlights of the meal and that’s not saying much. These are basic meatballs in smoked red sauce found in many tapas bars. I would’ve liked to see meatballs infused with chorizo(Spanish sausage) to give it more of a Spanish feel but overall, the meat was tender. 3. Croquetas De Jamon(Ham Croquettes): These were a miss. Most croquetas are tube shaped and honestly I’ve never seen them round. The filling was lacking flavor and there was way too much breading. The ham was almost non-existent and it was flavorless. The portion was not generous, we received 5 small round balls with a white sauce for dipping. 4. Paella De Mariscos: This was the other highlight of our meal and probably the most authentic dish we had. The Paella takes about 35 – 40 minutes to prepare and that’s normal so if you order it, keep this in mind. They offer the Sea Paella which consists of shrimps, mussels, squid, calamari, clams and optional lobster($ 19.00 upcharge). The rice was cooked well which is the heart of the Paella. My only complaint was that the shrimp were not seasoned and tasted bland. 5. Filet Mignon: My five year old son is very picky and loves steaks so we ordered the Filet off the Dinner menu($ 35.00). I ordered it Medium and it was definitely Medium Well which definitely affects the overall taste and tenderness of the filet. I tried it and it was a bit tough and on the salty side. It was served with the Papas not so Bravas. When serving Tapas, fresh bread is a must! Many times, scraping the sauce from the plate with bread is what brings out more flavor in the food. Apparently, bread is not served unless you ask so we asked. The bread was stale even though it was served warm. Desserts: 1. Churros Tapa Toro: These are fried dough pastries that are very popular in Spain especially in the morning as breakfast treats. I found these to be too airy and a bit over fried. I prefer churros that are thicker with a more doughy filling. These are served with three small jars of sauces which consist of Chocolate, Caramel and Blueberry Sauce. 2. Flan(Custard): Good flavored Flan. It was creamy and it was not overly sweet. Wine: They lost one full star for the wine serving. The wine was a very good Rioja Tempranillo Red and they offer 3 choices for certain wines on the list: Bottle, Glass or Garrafa(Carafe). We chose the carafe because my father and I were drinking and we didn’t want a full bottle for lunch. We thought we would get at least close to two glasses of wine each but we didn’t. The container they use is not a carafe, it looks like a tin cup with a handle(See Pic) and most carafe’s I’ve seen are glass. This ended up being 2 ¼ glasses of wine. In retrospect, we should’ve just ordered two glasses of wine and we would’ve saved money. I realize this is still a relatively new restaurant so I’m hoping that over time they can develop a more refined Spanish flavor in their food. Tapa Toro is located at I-Drive 360 and you get a nice view of the Orlando Eye from the front entrance.

We stopped in on a whim, and I have to say it was a really wonderful experience filled with exceptional food and service. Great service, server Aldo, Assistant Manager Alex and Chef Wendy each had a personal contact with us. Personable, great recommendations, everything A++ The décor a taste of Spain(and yes I have been there) with a fresh spin. Ambiance is upbeat Latin. Food, we had Salmon Crudo, Popurri de Setas(mushrooms), Croquettes de Jamon, Kurobuta Cicinho(pork belly), Califlor de Leon(cauliflower) and Costillas de Rey Guisadas(short ribs). Everything was to die for. They transported me back to Spain. The Cauliflower had Moorish influence, the mushrooms were so meaty you would swear they might be beef and the short ribs melted in your mouth. Drinks great, wine list perfect for Spanish pairings and offered great selections across multiple price points. If you are in Orlando do yourself a favor and stop in(just under the new Orlando Eye).

During the first night of my work trip in Orlando, with the help of Unilocal,my colleagues and I stopped into Tapa Toro for dinner! We started off seated at the community table and the live music and dancing was just about to begin. The three of us shared the following dishes(listed by favorite): hamberguesitas! Delicious beef sliders that just make you want more and more of that deliciousness! Hands down, the table favorite!!! Datiles con pan: Flatbread with a goat cheese mousse and dates! Soo very good! Kurbota Tocina: Pork belly FTW! You really can’t got wrong with pork belly! You just can’t! Croqueta de Jamon was the table’s least favorite but still good! Shortly after arriving, we were able to enjoy live Spanish music and a really good Flamenco dancer! If you are in the area, check them out! Worth a visit!

Tapa Toro, one of the newest addition to I-Drive 360, with it’s unique paella pit, vibrant tapas menu, and extensive selection of imported wines is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a four-course lunch menu for $ 18 and a five-course specialty menu for only $ 33. YES, you heard me right, and I needed front row seats to believe it. Armed with my trusted Note 4, a voracious appetite, and an open mind I made reservations this labor day weekend, eager to experience Spanish Cuisine in the heart of Central Florida. 1st Course: Gazpacho Tapa Toro — Simply delicious and refreshing. Ensalada de Remolacha — Few beets and more greens, the citrus vinaigrette was the star of this fresh salad. Salmon Crudo — Wonderfully delicate bite, further brightened by the citrusy flavors of lemon, capers, and pickled shallots. 2nd Course: Papas Bravas — simply satisfying. Datiles con Pan — Thoughtfully constructed, with great attention paid to the balance of savory, sweet, and sour flavors; I was in love! Croquetas de Jamon — Grease-free and tender, what’s there not to love? 3rd Course: Gambas al Ajillo — Juicy and tender shrimp singing with garlic and olive oil. Pintxo de Res — A dish I might see more in an Asian or Mexican restaurant. Beautifully cooked beef, fresh green olive sauce, a winner on our table. Croquetas de Bacalao — Cause our daughter can never have enough of well made croquetas. 4th Course: Chorizo y Papas — A humble dish which perhaps belongs better on the brunch table. Chorizo is pure culinary pixie dust. One meager link can render such complexity and flavor to the humblest ingredients. Add comforting potatoes and a fried egg, there is always place for it in my heart. Lomo DE Cerdo — Lomo a Central/South American cooking technique, renders the humble pork tenderloin succulent and brimming with bold flavors. Absolutely brilliant! Equally delicious and contrasting the rich flavors was the generous portion of salad. Salmon A LA Parrila — Salmon cooked to perfection, sweet raisins, crunchy cauliflower, finger licking romesco; another brilliantly executed dish. Bravo Chef! 5th Course: By now I was totally stuffed, thankfully the dessert portions were literally bite sized, satisfying my sweet palate. Crema Catalana — soulfully satisfying. Flan — quintessential Spanish dessert, minimalist approach, gorgeous plating; perfection! Barra de Chocolate — A welcome surprise — contemporary presentation and delightfully delicious. A refreshing welcome to Orlando’s tourist mecca from the owners of Tavern Opa; Tapa Toro with it’s small plates brimming with big flavors, attentive and professional staff, the most charming Flamenco dancer and instructor Ms. Tammi, Tapa Toro will literally having you rocking to their beat in no time. Hispanic Heritage Month celebration is available for a limited period from September 1st to October 15th.

Beautiful restaurant with lots of unique lighting and décor. We enjoyed about an hour of happy hour before our dinner. Half off sangrias and some nicely priced bar bites. We loved the clams but the croquetas were some of the best we have had. They had a light crisp and were accompanied by a wonderful lemon alioli. For dinner our party enjoyed both the meat and seafood paella. Both were flavorful and delicious in different ways. The meat paella had chorizo, chicken and rack of lamb! We also tried the beef skewers, potatoes, shrimp and octopus tapas. No doubt the seafood is fresh and perfectly cooked. We loved both seafood tapas! For dessert we shared the churros and chocolate cake. The churros were very good and so delicate. The fell apart as you picked them up! We will be back to try more dishes!

Tapa Toro has great tapas, service, and entertainment(flamenco dancing and music). My boyfriend and I were surprised to get a reservation so easily here. It turn out they do not officially open until later in August(they are currently in their soft opening period, making sure everything is perfect. We were greeted by Sonia the flamenco dancer. We saw her again mid dinner dancing by our table. She offered to teach me flamenco dancing as well. I am always up for new experiences so I joined her for a dance, which was was really fun. Will was our server. He explained the offerings very well. He answered our questions with great detail. We learned about food and Spanish and Peruvian culture from him which was fantastic. I tried a Feliz Boca which had a fantastic balance of flavors. I also tried their version of a Moscow mule(I think it had lavender), which was also fantastic. The bartender there did an excellent job with the drinks. I enjoyed tomato salad, which ha fennel. I am not usually a huge fan of fennel, but in this salad it was great. I loved the cold tapa of figs, goat cheese, honey, preserved, lemon and bread. We also had two warm chorizo tapas that were also very good. The atmosphere here is beautiful. I would highly recommend Tapa Toro for a date. We will definitely return when in the area :)
