We went for dinner and it was packed. We were lucky to be seated outside in 5 minutes. The alligator meat was a disappointment. The guava rib has no trace of guava taste but the meat was tender and juicy. The dynamic shrimp and salmon sliders are very delicious. The chicken spring roll was ok. They have lots of art work inside for sell and I just love the decoration. It’s a place worth returning

Came here before princess half marathon! Such a fun unique place. So far… fish tacos, Mac & cheese, lamb tacos, dynamite shrimp. Waiting on so much more but just had to say that outer waiter Jose is awesome! Awesome experience and great guest service! Let’s go more food!

What an amazing restaurant! Husband and I were lucky to get a table on Valentine’s Day. Thanks to fellow Unilocalers and their pictures and reviews, I picked this spot, called, and they said we can just drop in. So we did and oh man, the atmosphere in there is incredible. I didn’t even know where to look first. Everything in there is full of art from local artists and you can purchase it at the restaurant. The lights were dimmed, music was loud but not too loud and it was a very relaxed crowd. I was afraid that since it was valentines evening, it would be upscale and people would wear suits but it was very casual, yet classy. They had a special valentines menu for $ 60 that included two Sangrias(red or white), and you could choose four tapas from the menu. It also included dessert. We had the melon tomato feta cheese salad with balsamic vinaigrette, and I don’t even remember the names of the other tapas anymore but it was something with fish on skewers, short ribs and flatbread pizza with goat cheese. It was plenty for two people! As a desert we chose the Godiva chocolate cake with ice cream and whipped cream and it was delicious! Since they were so busy, we had to wait a little bit for the third and fourth plate but to make up for it, our waitress Lauren(she was great btw) brought us two chocolate dipped strawberries as an extra dessert on the house. We really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere there and would we live closer, I think we would become regulars :)

Business trips = new restaurant experiences, and I was really happy to find a bumpin’ tapas place in Orlando, home of pacemakers, buffets, and early-bird specials. Café Tu Tu Tango doubles as an art gallery: they feature talented local artists using a variety of mediums, and fill every conceivable surface with folk art which is available for purchase. Service is consistently awesome. The servers are always helpful and knowledgeable, refills are FAST, and the food is served from four kitchens… so there’s constantly something new on the table to taste! Their menu is extensive without being unfocused, and dishes fall into one of a few categories: Asian fusion, Indian-inspired, with Cuban, Creole/Cajun, and Mexican highlights. In addition to the main menu, the restaurant features a frequently-rotated list of house specials. It’s tapas, and although smaller plates are the norm, they seem a bit smaller here than at individual tapas locations(TTT is a chain). I’d suggest 6 – 8 plates for a party of 2 – 3 if you’re looking for a full meal. Menu highlights: Mediterranean Cauliflower: Cinnamon, almonds, coconut butter, spices. Delicious. Chipotle Caesar Salad: A basic Caesar with a slammin’ spicy dressing. Greek Olives, Feta, and Artichoke appetizer: Just as it sounds, with clean fresh flavors and crispy crackers for dipping. Tandoori Chicken: This was on the specials menu, and I inhaled it! Four smoky, spicy chicken skewers with a cool yet spicy mango slaw that was to die for. Pork Belly Lettuce Wraps: The bomb. Melt-in-your-mouth blend of sweet and spicy flavors, wrapped in cool bibb lettuce Misses: Cajun Eggrolls: They taste like Chili’s Southwestern Eggrolls, but gummier and served with a sauce that tasted suspiciously of Awesome Blossom. Cuban Sliders: I had high hopes, but they just fell flat. Not very flavorful. Salmon Sliders: See above. Lots of bready filling, very light on the protein. All in all, a great meal in a funky atmosphere. Try it, you’ll love it! Get a margarita, too… the drinks are inventive and fantastic.

Lively atmosphere and tasty food! Fried alligator bites — I’ve never tried these before! The meat turned out to taste like chicken. It was a bit chewier. It comes with a tasty tangy dipping sauce. The portion size is a little small. Pear salad — this was very sweet. The pears, which tasted like they’d been bathing in honey, served on a crispy wafer with a side of arugula tasted great. It comes with bleu cheese — i’m not a fan of bleu cheese at all, so we asked to take that out. They forgot to add in mozzarella as a substitute so minus 1 star for the review. Mahi mahi — The fish was soft and flaky. The green tea noodles were very light and didn’t have much green tea flavor. It mostly tasted like pesto. Cuban sliders — the yucca fries were heavenly soft. The actual slider though I’d skip because it just tastes like a pastrami sandwich. meatball flatbread — this was tasty, but kind of over-salted. The flatbread was crispy and the meatballs were moist yet flavorful. Hangar steak — very strong beany taste, but the steak was very tender and moist. The environment is super fun here. There are dancers that dance between the tables! The wait can be pretty crazy around prime time, but we waited at the patio for a standby spot.

One of the most dynamic restaurants I’ve ever visited. I’m an art lover and to support local artists and all the misfits in between, you can’t get any better than that. The lighting is low and comfortable. Art is everywhere in this restaurant, cool paintings posted everywhere, paint brushes hung from a string. While we were waiting, I got a Tarot reading! We ended up sitting at the bar, ordering a few drinks, and our food. For appetizers we ordered the Balkan Ajvar Dip, the tangy goat cheese, lemony olive oil, such a good punch of flavor. Tuscan meatballs that are currently making my mouth water as I type this. For entrees, I ordered the Korean Chicken Osso Bucco, unfortunately I devoured this and still wanted more(it’s a tapas place). My coworker ordered Guava BBQ Ribs So many delicious flavors… such a great atmosphere, one of the best places.

Such a cool concept and so glad I had the opportunity to experience it! I stopped by after a busy conference ended for a relaxing dinner and enjoyed the cajun chicken egg rolls and the dynamite shrimp(based off of the host’s recommendation — thanks!). The host was so friendly and professional, the food was great and I really enjoyed seeing the artists creating their masterpieces while we dined. The service was unresponsive though… I guess they had too many large tables that they were assisting, so my one top table didn’t take priority — such a shame!

I had been putting off this review cause I’ve got mixed feelings about this place. When I lived in Orlando Tu Tu Tango was my favorite spot in town, I would eat here regularly and never hesitated to drag visitors and clients down for an evening of debauchery. I even have 4 prized pieces I’ve taken down off the walls over the years. So why my reluctance… cause the food is simply not as good as it once was. I’ll be brief… this place always has a lively vibrant crowd and the action seemingly never stops. Its fun², but the kitchen and menu have slipped IMO. Many of the items that made this place so special are gone from the menu, and the selection is hit or miss. Well nothing lasts forever I guess, and I still love the vibe and décor, I’m just not going to be bringing visitors here for dinner anymore. Atmosphere: 5*, Food: 3*

This place is absolutely outstanding in nearly all aspects of the restaurant business. It’s actually hard to describe this place but it is essentially a tapas joint with a pretty neat ambiance and vibe. There is a fairly substantial menu with everything from fried watermelon to pears all the way to fried gator. All of the items that I experimented with were delicious and washed down with some wonderful gin concoction. This place also has fantastic pieces of art on the walls that is for sale and an in house artist creating the art, which is extremely impressive. To top it all off, they have what you call«spontaneous entertainment» which is essentially dancers or entertainers that just pop up out of nowhere and entertain. Overall, high recommend Tu Tu tango if you’d like a fantastic dining experience. Pros– Menu Tapas Indoor/outdoor seating Ambiance Paintings Artists in house Spontaneous entertainment Fantastic service Free valet Dessert selection Cons– Very loud Extremely crowded

Cool restaurant with paintings by local artists on the walls. An artist painting as you enter. I loved the vibe of this place. The downside was that there are very few vegetarian options. I think we almost had all of them and were not full. The food is a bit pricey and not as filling. Having said that, the service was great and we ordered the Alforno Roasted Pears, it wasn’t what we were expecting but once we tried it we loved it! Roma Tomato & Goat Cheese Flatbread was good nothing special. We also tried the Guacamame which was served with perfectly fried chips we like that too. Overall good food, great ambience and great service.

I’ve been to Café Tu Tu Tango a few times and I always enjoy it! The atmosphere is great – the restaurant features local artists and live music, creating an engaging, fun environment. I’ve been with large groups as well as just my boyfriend, and it’s always great service, no matter the size of your table. The restaurant has also been able to accommodate last minute reservations, which is always helpful! During my most recent visit, we opted for the following tapas: — jalapeño mac and cheese(loved the flavor kick) — Moroccan cauliflower(LOVE the mixture of flavors) — a flatbread special with figs and prosciutto(wasn’t a huge fan of the crust, but I liked the combination of sweet and salty) — picadillo empanadas(they give you a healthy number of these and they are a good size) — dynamite shrimp(great sauce, basic fried shrimp) Tip: go on Wednesdays…$ 15 bottles of wine. You can’t beat that!

I used to come here all the time. They renovated the place and now have a patio attached to the front bar. We were staying at the Castle Hotel and came in for a drink. We had 13 minutes until they closed, but Abby did not rush us at all. My hubby and I asked if the had any specialty drinks. She showed us the menu and recommended some awesome cocktails. My husband also wanted some shooters, but did not know what to get, so she asked what we liked and she threw something together. It was amazing! I only gave 4 stars because it was a Saturday night during the holidays and they closed at midnight. I was expecting to hang out a little longer.

Still my favorite place! But one tiny downfall :/ So let’s get the negative over with first. Our server as clearly new but had a great attitude. It was on more than one occasion we didn’t get refills, or a dessert/brunch menus when we asked for one. We had other servers buzzing around us the entire time and saw our girl at her tables(3 tables total) twice(witching 30 minutes, and at other tables). Her attitude and recommendations were spot on though! Alright, now for the food. I come here about 2 – 4 times a month but this was my first time ever coming for brunch! Mimosa and Bloody Mary bar for $ 15, unlimited! Yes please. We also went with one of the brunch options as well, the arepas Benedict. So incredibly savory and good! My only complaint was that I was there were more than two on the plate but well worth the price. We grabbed a pepperoni pizza as well the updated jalapeño Mac and cheese. Both were also, fantastic! Pizza was a great sharing portion and the Mac and cheese got a good upgrade as well. Bigger portion to justify the cost as well they made it have a bit more kick. Very filling and tasty ! We opted for dessert(because why not and I had a birthday coupon) and got the chocolate calzone and crème brûlée. Both are a favorite of mine and I’m thankful to see these have not changed or gone away! The calzone is still a huge portion and definitely recommend for sharing. Crème brûlée too! I wish they would’ve torched it a bit longer to actually have the shell on top of it but it still tasted amazing. It’s an amazing artsy place in a town of tourist and chains. The food and vibes are great, as well the wait staff. It’s a great place to sit and eat on the patio as well inside with all the action on a Saturday night. Stop debating and try this place!

In a tourist trap town, its rare to find something unique and genuine as this restaurant. When you sit down, order a pitcher of sangria and the alligator bites as you look through the menu. They suggest 2 plates per person but there are so many good things to try you should order 4 and just take the leftovers home Service is friendly and attentive. All the artwork inside is locally made and for sale. Most nites there is not only live art being made but performances going on in the aisles(salsa dancing, singers, etc).

Café Tu Tu Tango is a place that will always remind of Stacy Z. She suggested I go here because it was one of her faves. She said the one in Atlanta was closing, so this was the next best thing. Why did she love it so much? Because she’s got a great eye for creativity. I too love all kinds of art and love to see that are imaginative, original pieces full of vibrance and life. Those r also great examples of what Café Tu Tu Tu Tango is, both in their ambiance, & their food. This place is tapas style, so order away, but remember every thing adds up! We ordered a few great options including mango sangria, goat cheese appetizer, guava ribs, beef tenderloin shish ka bobs with baby potatoes, and shrimp and grits. All were very good, if I were to take out an order, I’d say it would have been the goat cheese appetizer. Server was great. They also put me at a table that I could plug my cell phone in to charge. Love all the art. Great fun place. Check it out if u r in the area of International Drive. You will die when you see all the foodie options. This is a great one!

So, maybe tapas aren’t for me? That’s not it. I actually think the problem here is that the portion to cost ratio is completely off; the prices are just too high for the food you get. If the taste of the food was amazing, then I could(possibly) understand it, but that is unfortunately not the case. We stopped by for lunch today and decided to order a sangria and a few plates. We ordered their Southwestern Chicken Flatbread, Cajun Chicken Egg Rolls and Pork Belly Reuben Sliders. The egg rolls were delicious, crispy, cheesy and came with a side of creole mustard that paired perfectly. Oh yeah, they were also tiny! An order of 4 halves will set you back $ 10; for the same price at Cheesecake Factory you’ll receive about twice that amount and they’re just as good in my opinion. The($ 10) flatbread was tasty as well, but not great; I’d say the best part was the avocado cream that was drizzled which worked well with the blackened chicken and spices. The sliders(order of 3 for $ 10) was another disappointment. One of the sliders didn’t even have pork belly, but rather just sauerkraut and dressing. The sliders that did in fact have pork tasted good, but nothing worth returning for. This place has solid service, a nice atmosphere and the artwork adds a cool vibe, but that’s nowhere near enough to bring me back. Above all else, I seek great value, or great flavors at the very least, but this place offered neither. I highly doubt I’ll be back. * I must mention that the dessert menu actually sounded like the best part of the menu, but we decided to skip dessert this time around.
