Decided to grab lunch here the other day. We were able to sit outside in the nice weather. The outdoor area overlooks the pool area, which is very nicely landscaped. Our waiter, Rachid, was very nice and quick. For an appetizer, we had the croquets with chorizo and romesco sauce. They were good, but there was barely any chorizo in it. We counted 3 thin slices of the sausage. For our meals, we both ordered burgers and fries, which were delicious. The burgers were cooked juicy and the fries were fresh. The reason this gets a lower rating is because of the prices. We felt they were astronomical. For 2 burgers, 1 app, and 2 soft drinks, it was almost $ 60. Other than that, it was good, but I guess that’s to be expected at a hotel.

Overpriced with EXTREMELY slow service. My parents and I were baby-sitting my youngest nephew while my sister and her husband attended a conference in the hotel(Hilton) that the Bistro was located in. We all got together for lunch here while there was a break in the conference, but we all agreed that choosing the Bistro was a mistake. Although the view is undeniably gorgeous through their large crystal clear windows, when I sat down, I had to kick a half eaten sausage link out of my way — gross! The menu has very few offerings and everything is expensive. Plus, if you are starving, you will probably pass out while waiting for the food because it takes way too long to come out(and it wasn’t just our server, we noticed the other patrons having to wait an extremely long time as well). Another annoyance was that our food didn’t come out as ordered — both my sister and my brother-in-law’s hamburgers weren’t cooked as requested and my turkey club was supposed to come with a wickle(apparently a fancy-smancy pickle — I Googled it while my stomach growled from hunger and was looking forward to it!), but alas my sandwich was wickle-less. We would’ve complained, but we were running late at this point and just wanted to leave. The food tasted okay, but definitely not worth the price and the wait.

The BEST Bread Pudding Benedict in the country! I travel all over the country for work and I make a habit of ordering Eggs Benedict everywhere I go in my quest for the best. When I’m home, I test out a different restaurant every Sunday to order their Eggs Benedict. Well, I’ve found the best at the Hyatt Orlando Bistro! It is simply unbelievable. They use a savory bread pudding in place of the typical english muffin. The eggs are poached to perfection every time. Instead of drowning the eggs in hollandaise sauce that is either too thick or too runny, they give you enough to enjoy the taste of the sauce while allowing you to enjoy the flavor of the bread pudding. A MUSTHAVE!

Had breakfast here while staying at the hotel for a wedding. You can either have a breakfast buffet or they have a small made-to-order menu you can choose from. Most of my party did the buffet and thought it was okay. I did the nutella stuffed waffles(although it wasn’t stuffed it was sitting in a small bowl). The made to order item took forever to come out. So long that everyone else had finished eating. That was just the start of the bad service. Restaurant was practically empty and the waiter was rude the entire time. We even heard him talking about how to get a better tip from us while we were getting said bad service. Food was average but due to the way below average service I’d recommend finding somewhere else to go.

Update: the buffet does not involve the full menu, only plain pancakes, eggs Benedict, and smoked salmon.

This restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch and is part of the Hilton Orlando. For breakfast, they have a menu or a buffet. The buffet wasn’t great, as most buffets are. You can have eggs cooked to order at the omelette station, but all five days our omelettes and eggs were overcooked. Two days, I ordered poached eggs. The first day the eggs were watery and undercooked. The second day, they were perfectly cooked. So, definitely lacking in consistency. THe breakfast menu isn’t exciting, but the execution of the dishes seems to be better than the buffet. I also went there twice for lunch. The menu is decent. I got the gazpacho with shrimp one day. The gazpacho was too acidic, likely caused by the addition of way too much vinegar. It made it hard to enjoy it. Another day I got the salmon burger and that was very good. It came with a salad and made for a nice light lunch. In summary, the execution of the food is variable. The service isn’t anything to rave about.

Breakfast was fantastic! Our waitress Kelly made this experience well worth the money! Food was perfect, service was even better. Outings at the breakfast were not very large but the basics were there, the taste was very good. Fresh orange juice was delish! We had such a good relaxed time. Coming back again!

Our waitress, Rhoda, was one of the to five nicest waitresses we’ve ever had. In addition, she went above and beyond in every way, all the while knowing we had coupons for a free buffet that included the meal, tax, and gratuity. Truly an exceptional waitress. Everything from the breakfast buffet was delicious, including the fresh squeezed grapefruit juice to the oatmeal, potatoes, and made to order omelettes, and more, but nothing out of the ordinary as far as breakfasts buffets go.

For 2 mornings, this is where we dined. They have a buffet or you can order off the menu. Pricey, so for a few extra dollars, we chose the buffet. Wide selection of foods and there was an omelette station. Something for everyone. Since it is a breakfast/lunch place, it is airy, bright, and an entire wall of windows with doors that open to a patio area for outdoor dining ~ weather permitting. Both mornings, Silvia was our server and she was absolutely delightful. Coffee cup was always full and used plates and utensils were quickly removed. Newspapers are available for your viewing pleasure. It works.

Delightful café, delish fresh food. Snapper is awesome, just like the snapper from the carribean! Yummy mixed drinks, tropical setting. Fast, efficient service. Modestly priced. Overall impressed for a hotel property.

The waiters sucks. They ignore you, especially when you look like a 20 years old Asian girl who is actually a well accomplished scientist who is 30. I walked out without being acknowledged or waited after 15 – 20 minutes. They waited and greeted people who look older and especially males immediately within minutes while I sat down with a menu still painfully waiting to meet my waiter. I have never felt so discriminated for my race and my sex. or even awful about myself leaving a restaurant. As a guest of the hotel and being here for business, you expect better service.

I’ve found that Hilton’s hotel restaurants, especially in resort areas, are subpar. So I set my expectations fairly low and you probably should too. First, the prices are craaaazzzzy — even for a hotel, even for Orlando. Want a cheeseburger? That’ll be $ 16.50. Spinach salad with chicken? $ 18. Bowl of soup, perhaps? Cough up $ 9 please. Clearly, this restaurant appeals to those who don’t have a car(me) or are attending a convention(also me) and can expense everything. I ordered roasted chicken which came with«savory bread pudding» and broccolini — a steal at $ 14. The chicken was way dry, very salty, and looked like it had been roasted yesterday and just reheated. Since it came out in about 4 minutes, it certainly wasn’t made fresh. The bread pudding was pretty bad — basically sage flavored bread chunks. Even the broccolini was not great — it had been grilled(yay) but then drenched in salty butter(nay). On the plus side, service was fast, attentive and friendly. Go here if you’re short on time and can’t leave the hotel. Otherwise, go just about anywhere else.

Had lunch here while attending a conference at the hotel. The menu options looked good, if a little limited. I went with the turkey sandwich with a side of house made chips. While I did like the large roasted tomatoes they have as a topping, it was the lone highlight in an otherwise uninspired sandwich. The chips were good, but overall it was a mediocre meal, even for a hotel restaurant.

This is a typical hotel restaurant but with very good food. They are down on the lower lobby level near the pool so you can basically miss them if you don’t go to that area of the hotel. I went there for lunch one day while I was at the hotel for a conference. I got seated right away and my waiter came over to take my drink order. He gave me some time to look at the menu which is always appreciated. I order the lobster roll with fries. Both were delicious. The lobster roll had good sized pieces of lobster in a nice mayo-type sauce with a little celery. Very tasty. The fries were nice and crisp. My lunch was a bit pricey due the lobster roll but not bad for a hotel restaurant. They were quite busy at lunch time and seem to do a good breakfast business. They are one of the better hotel restaurants I have been to.

Here’s the deal: this place is a typical international hotel breakfast-lunch restaurant. Nothing offends. It’s all shiny and Florida-sunshine bright. Clean. Smiles on the friendly but tired-looking wait staff. They did a good job. We were seated immediately at approximately 1pm. There was only one other table occupied. On a weekday. At a very nice international hotel by the Orlando Convention Center. You’d think it’d be busier. Nope. I quickly found out why. It’s just soulless and uninspired. Peer across the thick, heavy vinyl menu and see what you’d expect to see. Some inoffensive appetizers you’ve seen at every other hotel restaurant in the U.S. Burgers and a few sandwiches – some topped with garlic aioli – they’re apparently living on the edge here with that special sauce. Some pasta dish. Ceasar and chopped salads topped with, you guessed it – chicken breast, shrimp, salmon and even lobster(for an extra $ 9). That’ll be $ 18FOR A SALAD. Now hear this – I get it. This place is trying to mine that seemingly inexhaustible vein of corporate American road warriors with expense accounts that cover stays in places like this. Or the tourists from overseas that haven’t figured out the U.S. dollar exchange rate yet and don’t want to venture anywhere off-property because the U.S. might be scary. The ability to go someplace else is here, though. Sidewalks meander off towards other restaurants nearby. And by nearby, I mean half a mile or more. This is Orlando, Florida. The place that shook hands with the Sprawl Monster after he killed off urban mass transit and buried the corpse under the Disneyworld parking lot. Got a rental car? No? Have a nice walk. It’s hot outside, but at least it’s humid. I digress. Back to «The Bistro». Even the name makes me chuckle. You’d think«small, French-inspired food, simple in nature, inexpensive, maybe even rustic.» If I had a dollar for every hotel restaurant that I’ve seen with the word«bistro» in the name, I could easily pay to eat here. But then again, the food is indeed simple, plain. I don’t want simple or plain. I had the salmon, which was tender. But it was flavorless. Having to ask for a bottle of Tabasco after one bite of a $ 18 entrée is just sad. My companion had a fish taco. Just ONE of them. Served on a flour tortilla with a side of bland white rice and even more bland black beans. This was also $ 18. He also used the Tabasco. He ate the taco in 5 bites. And only because he was starving. Pushing the epicurean limits here? Hardly. That’ll be $ 50(including tip) for two mediocre dishes and two iced teas. Attention«The Bistro» proprietors – flavor is important to us road warriors! If you’re going to gouge our company expense accounts, at least make it worth our while to use our sense of taste.

What a great way to start the morning. The Bistro is located inside the Hilton Orlando. Very fancy place, yet relaxed at the same time. Don’t get me wrong. This place is pricey, but the food is well worth it. Gorgeous place. Lot of natural light. Not many people know about this place. It is on a lower level. They have upbeat music playing. I found myself eating and tapping my feet to the beat. The seating at the bar for breakfast is excellent. It’s for people who are here on business and come in, and eat, and go on their merry way. Paula was my server today. She was very nice. Scrambled eggs, Serrano ham, Manchego cheese, fresh avocado, pico de gallo, roasted potatoes. $ 13.00. This week anything with avocado has been hitting the spot. This wrap is out of this world with all the goodies inside. Even the breakfast potatoes were good. I tend to leave those untouched. They have a buffet that starts at $ 24.00. Yep, that much. Typical hotel prices. Again, don’t let the price scare you. It is all very good. And the customer service is amazing. The whole team this morning was working hard and had smiles on their faces. Paula, Gracias for an amazing breakfast experience. Nice meeting you and hope to see you again. Always nice to meet someone who has lived in Chicago. I gave it a three star because of it being pricey. Nothing wrong with this place. Very common for hotels to charge that. Bring your appetite and lots of money. :)

I’m surprised there are only 2 reviews of this place. I tried it for lunch(they are only open for breakfast and lunch) and I liked it. I sat outside, overlooking the pool. I ordered the Fresh Ahi Tuna appetizer that came with pieces of naan bread. The tuna was seasoned to perfection! It was actually mixed with a ton of olives(I completely skipped over that when looking at the menu) which threw me off because I’m not a fan. But the saltiness of the olives went really well with the tuna. Also, the description says«egg» but mine didn’t have that, which is fine because I thought this was delicious. I also ordered the Garden Chopped Salad. I loved the Gruyère cheese and pumpkin seeds added to it, plus the asiago breads on top. It came with a mayo-like dressing. It tasted good, but I’m not a fan of heavy dressings, so I just asked for limes. The service was good too. I got my food very quickly. Then again, there were only about 5 people in the restaurant and I got there right as they were closing. I had no idea because no one said anything, so that was nice of them but then I just felt so rude!

$ 10.95 for breakfast buffet that includes juices, eggs, sausage, bacon, crossiants, toasted bagels, muffins, yogurt, waffles, french toast, etc is a really good deal to me. This is great option if you have picky kids, therefore they can eat what they like versus ordering off the menu which is just as expensive if not more. Service was average over the 2 times I was here for breakfast.

Oh the restaurant inside of the hotel. Well, if the restaurant is as nice as the hotel, it’ll do just fine. The Bistro is a pretty nice place to catch breakfast or brunch. It has a nice view into the courtyard and it’s beautiful on a sunny day. Even though The Bistro is pricey, it’s worth the short trip downstairs for your fare. We tried other breakfast chains in the area, but they get packed very quickly and you’ll easily wait 30 – 45 minutes. Here, you’ll get right in and start eating, but you’ll be paying for the convenience. They have a good menu to select from, but also have a buffet with a variety of choices. Fresh fruit, waffles, bacon, sausage, customized omelets to order, grits, yogurts with wonderful fruits and jellies on the bottom, challah french toast, juice bar, etc… The biggest advantage of the buffet, you can also order anything off the menu that is not available on the buffet. I couldn’t believe that I could get anything off the menu in addition to the buffet for the same price. I tried their eggs benedict, the server mentioned that the hollandaise sauce is made in house. The sauce was probably about a million calories, but it was very good, rich but not too heavy and filled with flavor. The eggs however, one was cooked correctly and the other was well done, not runny at all. I also tried their smoked salmon on a baguette. Although the quantity of the salmon seemed to changed daily, it was fantastic to have lox each morning. Good quality nova lox served with capers. I definitely got my intake of sodium during this trip.
