Went here on 6÷23÷16 with a party of 3. We are a festive group. Long day at a Business Conference of 6,000 people. Shared my experience at this place with everyone. We ordered a bottle of Riesling wine and after laughing with each other, was told we could not be served. I guess you have to be somber to spend $ here. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone who is either out for a night to Celebrate a Birthday of one in my party. Was treated rude and how embarrassing treating a long time friend to a Un-Special Birthday dinner.

Wow this place is way overpriced for what it is. The service was poor and inattentive and the food was at best so so. I would skip and go to red lobster over this. At least there you get cheddar biscuits. The only person on point was the person refilling the water. Dinner — bisque was advertised with butter croutons– none were served with the soup. Fish — the chef special triggerfish was meh– and for 44 bucks it should knock your socks off. Server did not even bother to mention coffee or dessert which at this point was fine. I was more than happy to leave. Had the service been better I may have felt differently. Will not be back.

If you’re looking for some of the best seafood in Orlando this is the place! Tim was are waiter for the evening and he was absolutely fantastic, very knowledgeable about the whole menu while also being very funny and making the whole dining experience very pleasurable for my boyfriend and I. The whole staff was so friendly and we never had a empty water glass or dirty plate on our table for long, everyone worked together to treat us like they were all serving us. First, I’ll start out with the only free part of the meal, the bread, it will change your life, don’t come to this restaurant trying to count carbs, this isn’t the place. I had the escargot for my appetizer and it was fantastic! My boyfriend’s calamari had a Spanish flair to it which was… different but a welcomed different. For the main course I had the Togarashi Wahoo, which I still think about to this day in random moments, it was so good, almost life changing. My boyfriend had the Dynamite swordfish which had a nice slow burn to it, it was spicy but the kind of spicy you want in your life sometimes. For dessert we shared the vanilla bean crème brûlée which was absolutely fantastic and was a great ending to our experience. All in all if i had the money I would eat here everyday but I will definitely be back sooner than later.

Went there last night while on vacation in Orlando and WOW! I’ve had good seafood in the past but this place takes the cake. A little more upscale than we’re used to but felt very welcomed from the minute we walked in. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable but we were lost when she was explaining the menu. The menu is prepared daily and you can tell by the freshness in the food. A little high priced but it’s more than worth it for what you get.

Great seafood! Very fresh and their preparations are simple or fancy depending on what your craving. We are from Boston, so we are used to good seafood, and we were very impressed. My husband doesn’t care for seafood much and had the swordfish blacked with bleu finish and caramelized onions underneath it was amazing! I had the Alaskan king crab and I normally don’t like King crab but they get theirs from the deadliest catch fishing lines and the meat isn’t rubbery and is super sweet. Ask for Lorenzo and James as your waiter he gave us such a great experience! The whole management was very impressive service. I would highly recommend this place of your craving great seafood!

Business dinner at the Oceanaire. Service was great, appetizers were great; we had the crab cakes, and I believe spicy tuna tostadas. For my main I had the halibut and it was over cooked and dry. I normally would have sent it back but it was a large party and the food took quite some time to arrive. I expected more from a ~$ 40 ~6 ounce piece of fish. Sides we shared around the table were asparagus(good), hash browns(good), and Mac & cheese(good). The restaurant was very busy given a large conference in town. The vibe is very much like a steakhouse with dark wood etc. Had the place been less busy perhaps more attention may have been able to be places on the ‘done-ness’ of the meal.

This is the second time visiting this location. We started with a calamari was a small portion for the group. Also every one had the lobster bisque which was delicious. Ordered the crab cake appetizer as an entrée as the waitress said they were known for this item. Even one crab cake was hard to finish as we had a lot of sides. Lobster Mac and cheese was ok could have had more lobster. Hash browns were ok fresh and hot. The asparagus was very fresh. We skipped dessert instead had an after dinner drink.

As a pescatarian I have to say Oceanaire has the freshest seafood in Orlando. We started the night with Happy Hour drinks at the bar which were affordable during HH(5 – 7 P, M-F). I personally recommend the Camarita if you want a smooth, easy sipping happy hour beverage. Order some Crab Cake sliders and your very affordable night is made. Dinner however, was a wonderful addition to the night. The Oysters were spot on especially from Maine(seasonal). The Trout was the most flavorful trout I have had in entire life. The cook the fish perfectly leaving it flavorful and firm but not fishy. It was just perfect. Love this place!

Went out early as we were leaving town very early tomorrow AM. Plenty of servers and wait staff around we were greeted immediately and seated. The place has a nice feel to it and nice background tunes. I think we were one of the first dinner patrons that evening. We ordered cocktails my wife got a limoncello Gibson I had a vesper both were delicious. The seafood offerings were quite nice having never had a drum fish I ordered that my wife ordered a mahi mahi. She had a lobster bisque & I had a Caesar salad. The food was great and we both enjoyed the risotto although it seemed a bit thick(sticky), to us. We typically share our dishes to get more rounded view. We like this place and realized it is part of the Landry’s chain of eateries. We normally do not dine in chains but will be happy to return here. Service was top notch. Ambience is typical steakhouse/fish. Value was about right. Everything was a la carte. We did not get desert. The entire neighborhood of Pointe Orlando is very nice and there were plenty of other choices we just felt like fish that night. Mark & Nancy.

I have had the pleasure of eating at the Oceanaire in Minneapolis and have always enjoyed it… But Oceanaire Orlando was horrible. It was chosen by a friend for my 50th birthday, since we were in town for a convention. First off our waitress was like a used car sales person who rambled on about how great everything was. Ask a question and you end up with a confusing disortation. — I’ll get back to her in a few. We ordered 3 appetizers to share and they were all extremely small portions and tasteless and lacked any presentation. Baked oysters, crab salad, and grilled Squid. So now back to the waitress— 1 person in our party ordered the deep fried Red Snapper– with one simple request«No sauce on the fish» it literally was a 3 minute conversation about why as the waitress kept trying to sell him on it. I finally jumped in and said put both sauces on the side– ok she says that’s great. Dinner –all portions were super small for what they charge except for the Red Snapper. I had the Halibut and it could not have been more than 3 – 4 oz and the sauce was tasteless. Red Snapper shows up and wow great presentation — golden crisp, but why are both the cream sauce and siricha are poured all over the top of it. Ahh did you not get the request, maybe not because the waitress loved to talk about nothing instead of listen. So it’s sent back and then another waiter comes back with it asking my friend it’s not made of dairy, are you dairy intolerant and as my friend answered the ridiculous questions he finally said what don’t you get I hate sauces . Oops — it was the last one in the house. So he orders sea scallops Why was there sauce on it — cause the waitress admits she forgot to mention it to the kitchen– back to point one too much rambling and to little listening. We order desert bread pudding — the best thing of the evening. Bill comes and guess what … Not a single comped item for the mistake. If they were able to replace the Snapper then maybe no problem, but seriously — not even offer a free desert? BOTTOMLINE — don’t waste your money and don’t ruin your taste buds. With so many options in the are or even right next door. DONOTGOTOTHISLOCATION

Day 3 on vacation: My wife & I have been to a few seafood restaurants. By far, this has been the best so far. We started off with a variation of oysters but the Florida Rattlesnake Oysters was the one that stood out as being the best. For the main course I had the John Dori which was excellent. My wife had the Hungarian Black Grouper which she & I agreed was also a great fish. The service and plating was all in order. We are now going to try our luck with Baked Alaska dessert. Just finished trying the Bake Alaskan dessert. It was very fun to watch but nothing out of this world, this is something that the wife and I both agree on. She’s more a dessert person and I am not. Overall this place was a wonderful experience. And I almost forgot, Happy Valentine’s Day to you lovebirds!

Had a fantastic meal this past weekend. Took the wife there and it was her first visit. She loved it as well. Food was great and our server was wonderful. Grilled oyster where perfect and the calamari had a really nice heat to it. My steak was cooked perfect and the stone crab was delicious.

We are regulars at this restaurant and it never disappoints. Scotty, our waiter, is worth requesting. He’s the best. It’s hard to choose an entrée because they all sound so good. Menu items change with some frequency so you may not be able to order something you had before. I had the shrimp, husband had the yellowtail snapper«angry». The baked Alaska was great as usual. This is one of the best in Orlando.

Quite simply, this was one of the best dining experiences I have had in recent memory. The ambiance was warm and inviting. Our server Phillip was professional, friendly and extremely knowledgable. The food was simply sublime. Warm fresh sourdough bread and butter is served along with a tray of olives and other amuses shortly after we sat down. The crabcake appetizer is made with lumps of real fresh blue crab and minimal filler. It was mild and fresh with tons of flavor. Poke and calamari were also hits at our table. I had Hawaiian Marlin for an entire ‘black and blue’ with caramelized onions and blue cheese butter. The fish was a hearty filet cooked just right. Flavored were reminiscent of a sushi grade albacore filet. Tons of flavor and again really mild. The fish was firmer than I normally like in most fish but it did not detract from the profile here. The creamed corn side is a must. Sweet and creamy and cooked just right. We had hash browns and green beans as well, which were also good. We finished the evening with a slice of cheesecake with Carmel, chocolate and pretzel topping. The cheesecake was moist, creamy and on the lighter side(not dense). Again, flavors of the cake itself were amazing. The caramel toping was not overpowering at all, but was not needed because the cake could stand up on its own with just a little bit of whipped cream that it was served with already. Thanks again to Phillip for guiding us trough a wonderful evening!

Adam & Jonathan were our servers and they were fabulous! We were on vacation with friends and they lost a bet and had to take us to dinner –lucky us! The ambiance was warm and the food was excellent! We all ordered filet-each cooked to perfection. The best part was at the end when the waiter brought us a plate of warm fresh chocolate chip cookies!!! We would definitely go back!

I will start to say the service was amazing. Our server was professional, polished and it’s too bad you couldn’t replicate this into the food. If left solely to the food, its a solid 3 for me. My friends and I came here for magical dining, mostly for the surf & turf(filet & lobster tail). Two of us started with the rattlesnake oysters which is simply raw oysters in vinaigrette. I was so disappointed when my 3 oysters came out and only one was of normal size — 2 of the shells were puny and so you can imagine the size of the oyster. I didn’t care for the sauce for dipping — it had no bite, but at least they were fresh. One friend got the calamari — seemed ok and the other a pear salad she enjoyed. We all ordered the filet & lobster — several of us added accompaniments with side of asparagus, or blue cheese/crab topping for the filet. The lobster was cooked fine, tender. The filet almost seemed butterflied and was very fatty — not what I’ve come to expect from that cut of meat. It was bizarre. Dessert was a bit underwhelming — key lime pie that tasted similar to the one from Publix, not that it’s bad of course. Tres leches was and odd texture, and sorbet that was bitter and not refreshing. I am willing to give it another run, perhaps outside of magical dining.

Went here for Magical Dining menu and was happy with the results overall. For their appetizers i chose the Calamari(baby portion). it seemed like it was even less than half f their regular portion. That was kind of dissapointing. I ordered some Martinis(Gin) and was impressed on how smooth they were. They were $ 15 each but it was some gin i have never tried and will now be buying from in the stores. Main Entrée was the Filet Mignon(6oz portion again pretty small) and a Lobster tail. The Lobster tail was probably the best Lobster i have ever eaten. Extremely fresh. The dessert was Tres Leches. Wasnt the best i had but also wasnt anywhere near the worst. The service at the bar was great. The Lobster was extremely good but their price point isn’t merited with the décor and portions. service was good and food was above average so i would rate this place 4 stars.

They’ve really upped their game at Orlando’s Oceanaire. Years ago this was the sort of place with a tray of condiments including boxes of Old Bay seasoning and oyster crackers sitting in the middle of each table, which made it feel like a New England seafood house on the pier. No more. Now crisp white table cloths and elegant blue candles set the tone for more of a supper club experience. While there is always a collection of fresh fish, my favorite things about Oceanaire are the starters and the steaks. Lump crabmeat, tuna tartare, and clam chowder are all standouts, and there are also some really nice salads. The steaks are actually better than at the Capital Grille next door. Service is extremely professional, and wine service is knowledgable, with an extensive list to draw upon. This is my favorite restaurant at Pointe Orlando.
