Local chain place. Good with different salsa choices.

Drop what you are doing and go eat here! We were in town on vacation and wanted fast, easy, friendly, delicious, Mexican food. This place blew our minds! Everything we ordered was amazing, fresh, and very flavorful. For those of us who are brave the salsa bar was available to up the spice level. The staff is out of this world, they make you feel so incredible welcome and are kind and very attentive. Seriously, go get some now!!!

This is a good location! The staff is friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the food was good. Definitely up to TF standards. They have good deals, healthy options, and quality food.

Really closer to 3.5 stars. I had no idea what to expect at this restaurant other than TexMex food. First, it is a Quick Service style restaurant. Stand in line, order and pay for your meal, take a number, have a seat, someone delivers the food to the table. Lots of yummy and healthy options. I tried a combo plate. Wasn’t feeling their red sauce on the chicken enchilada. But the beef chimichanga was very well seasoned. Most places don’t season their ground beef properly, but Tijuana Flats gets it right! Rice and beans were pretty standard fare. They have a multitude of hot sauces to choose from. I don’t remember which 3 I tried, but they were all yummy.

Came here with my daughter, her friend, and my boyfriend. Loved the décor. It was very loud and humorous and vibrant. It kinda reminded me of Fuzzy’s in DFW. The salsa bar is what made us come here. I didn’t find one that I was in love with, but it was a nice touch and most of the sauces were good. I found that they were either not spicy enough or just burned the crap out of my mouth. My daughter loved the black bean tacos she got, which is actually a lot more difficult to find than it should be). I was not a fan of the mahi mahi tacos, but I should have known better than to order that at a fast food joint lol. My bad. Overall, the group was pretty satisfied with their orders.

Rather than the actual food itself, what stands out to me about Tijuana Flats is their very loud, no fxcks given interior. Well, I take that back, the explosive mix of color, adult humor and hallucinogenic walls were all expertly put together. And this is the case for all the Tijuana Flats I’ve been to. It’s truly a sight to be in there with all its vibrance and life, even during the dead hours of 2pm. We walked in after a very long flight from CA, grumpy and famished. We got ourselves the carnitas nachos, beef flautas and a cheese quesadilla. Oh and not to forget their famous chips and queso. Everything was tasty and filling, though the carnitas had disappeared somewhere on that nacho plate– bit of a letdown honestly. Their saving grace is that ridiculously impressive salsa bar. From flavor-fearful to ambitious, there is something for everyone. P. S. one of guys(Jim) who works there is a stud. Not in a physical sense but according to my husband he goes out of his way to give spectacular customer service. Tijuana Flats isn’t your run of mill Mexican place, but it’s kind of hard to explain. I suggest you check it out for yourself..

My daughter and I were shopping in the outlet stores nearby and we asked people about a good Mexican place and all four of them said Tijuana flats. We went and had very good burritos. The sangria was refreshing and the people were nice. It was a nice clean and colorful place and the food was tasty.

One of my favorite places to grab a bite of Mexican in the dr Phillips area without spending a ton of money. Service is always great and the food is soooo good. You order and pay at the registers up front then grab a seat and they bring the food out to you. Service is always friendly and you get served promptly. I would be doing a disservice if I didn’t mention the hot sauce bar. Take the time to try them all!

They always have great service and food is always good! I recommend the chicken chimichanga with queso! It’s delicious. Not to mention, the prices are reasonable. Cookie dough flautas are amazing and only about $ 3 for 6!

Taco Tuesday is when I go for cheap eats. The steak tacos are kind of plain, hence the array of sauces available from sweet mild to super hot. Kids will love this place but to me it’s a taco bell with food runner convenience.

Quick in and out for lunch! Super friendly service. Would prefer to stay and eat, but I had a craving for TFlatts. The prices are very reasonable, they have Mellow Yellow! They serve beer and have one of the best queso dip around. Awesome hot sauce selection at the hot sauce bar. They rate the heat for you so you can either murder your mouth with Endorphine Rush or get the sweet Thai chili. If you’ve never been here and enjoy Tex Mex, pop in. It’s worth the time and money!

This was a huge location located in a strip mall with some other restaurants and publix. They have outdoor seating and indoor as well so whatever fits your fancy. I usually order the steak burrito and love that they include the guac(without extra) and sour cream. Their version of the burrito bowl has everything as well from the lettuce to the rice and black bean. The service was nice here and the space was clean.

There’s really nothing unique about Tijuana Flats with regards to their food. Don’t get me wrong, the food is not bad, it’s just there’s nothing enticing enough to make me want to dine here on a regular basis. The only reason I dine here is because of Taco Tuesday, which includes 2 tacos, chips and a soft drink for $ 5.49. The service is surprisingly excellent. I have not encountered one bad apple from all my visits. The staff is very friendly and fast, even when the place is packed and you have to awkwardly stalk people for their tables.

Because I wasn’t about to wait 2 hours for Rocco’s tacos… We came here for taco Tuesday because I love tacos! And I have a long history with the Tijuana in Tampa so it holds a special place in my heart. I was starving so I didn’t even care what they put in front of me: hard blackened chicken tacos with the slap my ass sauce. I was through my first taco already before I realized my chicken was stone cold. Here’s the weird thing though: I didn’t care. Retrospectively, I much prefer my tacos hot but hey, it was the end of the night and probably the last of the chicken they’d made that night. It had great flavor, it was just cold. I’m willing to go back and give it another go… During the day though to give them a fair shot.

A step up from fast food, but still below that of a real sit-down place, Tiujana Flats fills the same space as larger chains such as Baja Fresh and Rubio’s. While none of them can claim particularly good food– and I find Tiujana Flats to be pretty uninspired for the food– their claim to fame is a large hot sauce bar, from mild to medium to downright hot and tasty. Most are pretty decent; I don’t think any win awards, but they’re a nice signature to have. Décor is decidedly cliché, but it beats the generic white walls and sterile feel of many other places. And service at this location is quite good. A solid 3 stars.

Want good Mexican in Orlando? The best choice is still Agave Azul. I came here one afternoon while visiting my parents. They raved about it, so I had high expectations. This place fell well short of what I expected. Frankly, I don’t know how or why this place has exploded in popularity — they apparently have 75 restaurants. They must have compromised flavor and quality to make a few bucks. Let’s hit on the big negative: the food. We started with chips and queso/salsa/guac. The chips were pretty decent, but the queso was a bit too salty for my taste. The salsa was good and the guac was adequate. For my main, I ordered a carnitas chimichanga. Of course, I have no idea if I actually ate a carnitas chimichanga because I could hardly see any meat inside. What little meat was there was overpowered by the multiple layers of tortilla. Your stuffed chimichanga is a façade of folded over tortillas and no substance. A huge disappointment. I guess the deal is you’re supposed to flavor your own food with their variety of sauces. Seems more to me like an excuse to not try hard. I didn’t come here to make my own food. The friendly service and cool artwork of this place give it a good vibe, but what’s the deal with the celebrity photos? A quick look and it’s clear they were taken at different locations. Can I go to those locations instead? Maybe they’re better than this one. It’s pretty sad to see a bunch of celebrities at other locations, though. It’s like this location is the unknown brother of a famous person, living vicariously through his sibling’s accomplishments. Find your own identity, guy! Finally, I appreciate the charitable work they’re doing, but it’s not enough to push it up a star, and I’m a guy who ranks customer service and local focus very highly.

Great service, the food is good only reason why it’s not a 5 everytime we get the burritos they fall apart bc of the liquid from the tomatoes. I recommend the pico the best I’ve had anywhere and don’t forget the hot sauce bar.
