It’s Saturday night and I got some sports action going on with Orlando City playing Toronto FC in MLS action, and the Mets visiting the Braves at Turner Field. So why not stay in and order pizza before the game starts. Which is what I did at Tomasino’s. And sorry for the sports metaphor, but Tomasino’s pizza is a home run! And I’m talking bases loaded, out of the ballpark homerun with two outs in the ninth inning good! Tomasino’s pizza are 14 inches and 18 inches. They have a cheese pizza, a gluten free pizza(12 inches), and several specialty pizza. I ordered«The Mechanic». Pepperoni, sausage, green pepper, onion, mushroom, black olives, and extra cheese. An 18 inch is $ 23.99. With tax, it comes to $ 25.55. This is really good pizza. Some of the best pizza I have had in awhile. Thin crust, plenty of toppings, and a lot of cheese. After having this pizza, there is NOWAY I am going to a chain pizza. Tough luck, papa! Tomasino’s has a dining area as well as carry out, albeit a narrow, dimly lit dining room. Which makes for a cozy lunch or dinner as the aroma of fresh baked garlic knots drifts in from the kitchen. Appetizers, buffalo wings, subs, pasta, calzones, stromboli, and baked specialties are offered on the menu. As well as salads and desserts. I have never dined in Tomasino’s. The only times I have been here is for carry out. But the dining room area is always clean, the service is always friendly, and I have never had a bad pizza. And the wait time for ordering over the phone has not been that long a wait. Not having a carry out menu with the phone number for ordering, I stopped in here earlier in the day before going to the movies to pick up a menu. Leslie, one of the employees at Tomasino’s, gave me a magnet along with my menu so I would have that phone number handy. Then welcomed me back later when I arrived to pick up my order later this evening. Thank you Leslie! Tomasino’s also has delivery and online ordering. And their carryout menu has some good coupons available, and ask about their pizza of the day. And I bet Tomasino’s pizza of the day is also a home run.

From the moment that we walked into this casual restaurant I felt like I was simultaneously in a mafia movie and in NYC. The restaurant was incredibly narrow like what you would find in the city and the pizza lived up to its NYC expectations. Our mobster waiter, Rubin was great. He suggested the 2 slice and a salad special, which was perfect for both me and my GF. He also somehow intuited that I am a huge marinara sauce fan and brought me two dipping cups. Filled our waters right back up when they got low. I got the VIP and Mamma’s pizza. The VIP is this crazy stuffed meat concoction that packed a ton of flavor into an interesting package — crust on top and bottom. The slice of mamma’s pizza was one of the tastiest I’ve ever had. Not sure if it was the buttery crust or the melted mozz, but it was GREAT! We will definitely be coming back and asking for Rubin as our waiter.

This restaurant has beautiful NY ambience. The pizza is amazing and a real NYPIZZA experience. Service was 100% on point! We are first time diners here and we will be back soon.

Great cheesey knots and very good classic pepperoni and mushroom pizza. They also have Peroni on tap which rules. Definitely a great pizza spot worth trying. The server Jennifer was great too. Amazing!

I can’t complaint of the pizza it was good, but what left a sour taste in my mouth was the service. I was told that the special of the day was 2 slices of pizza and soda or salad for $ 7.49 with up to 5 toppings, I agreed, and selected my toppings, when i got my bill it was $ 15 and I asked what happened? they said it was because I ordered chicken as a topping, and that was an extra charge. The waitress never told me that chicken was any different than the other toppings, it never occurred to me that chicken was anything special. The waitress was very apologetic, but they didn’t want to correct the bill, and they cashier then, to justify the charge explain the process of the chicken, and said that he’ll discount $ 1. I thought it was ridiculous and paid whatever they charged and left. It’s too bad how a decent product can be ruined for such a poor service.

As soon as I bit into a slice, my mind was immediately transported to my high school days in New York City. It conjured vivid memories of my dad taking me on the weekends to the little pizzerias around East Village. I’m serious! They do replicate the NY style pizza pretty accurately and it’s delicious. That’s all I have to say…

Should have read reviews before choosing this restaurant. Had the chicken parm lunch special, which had no flavor.

Headed here for a quick lunch after hearing a few people recommend it. Inside of the main shopping plaza, there is plenty of parking. The case up front is a great way to see what’s on offer for the day in the way of slices. They have a separate lunch menu, and we opted for the 2 slice deal. The slices are huge, so we actually only were able to finish one each and boxed the others. They have a thin crust which has a good crunch with the amount of topping they offer. I’d recommend heading here for lunch and doing the 2 slice so you can try out the options. As soon as we walked into the door we were greeted and the menu was explained along with all the options. This was really helpful when we were making our initial decisions. Overall: A Good stop for pizza lunch. Interested in heading back and giving the pasta a try!

Solid. Want more? Go there! Step aside Pizza Pizza, Tomasino’s is here! The food is great, you’ll walk out satisfied. If not, go back inside and do the pie eating contest. They challenge you! On the house if you finish. The servers are super professional, wow. So attentive and polite. Every time I’ve walked in there they’ve made me feel at home. They have a very good system and product. Tomasino! I salute you!

Tomasino’s was definitely a pleasant surprise. When we pulled up and I saw it was a tiny place in a strip mall, I figured we might as well just go to Domino’s. However, that’s where the stereotypes ended. We ordered pizza, cheese sticks(which were actually breaded cheese wedges) and a calzone. First the cheese sticks — amazing. They were breaded perfectly, obviously homemade, and had plenty of awesome mozzarella cheese in them. Tasted perfect. Now, the pizza. It’s not super thin nor is it too thick. It had the perfect amount of crust(which was also obviously homemade) and a great amount of the aforementioned awesome mozzarella cheese. My only tiny complaint about the pizza was the lack of pepperoni, but certainly nothing to cry about. The calzone was just gushing with cheese and baked absolutely perfectly. Service was excellent, too. Our server was very, very friendly and wasn’t overbearing, like some can be. All in all it was a great place and one I definitely recommend.

Fast, friendly, cheap, and mediocre. Walking into this pizzeria, I was instantly reminded of the small pizzerias I grew up frequenting in New York. I was pretty hopeful. While a number of the items on the menu sounded good, I wanted to get a good baseline, and chose to go with the lunch special: two slices with toppings and a drink. The drink I was brought was the wrong one, but whatever — I was more concerned with the pizza. The food came out pretty quick since they were just heating it up for a few minutes. Like single slices in NY, they’re a bit oversized, but these slices were pretty thin even for NY style. More disappointing, though, was the blandness of the sauce and slice overall. Even with the addition of red pepper flakes, garlic, and oregano, I just barely tasted anything. Sure, for $ 8 I was no longer hungry, but I also wasn’t exactly satisfied either.

My gf kept telling me about Tomasino’s. She’s from NY and knows good pizza. No, it’s not as good as true NY pizza, but it’s a pretty good pie for Orlando! We came in for a late lunch. We were the only ones there, so service was quick. They had a number of people coming for take out. Large slices, good lunch specials, and lots of pizza options.

My favorite pizza place in Orlando! Ingredients are so fresh and tasty. The wings are plump and juicy must get the hot and garlic sauce. The cheese knots are little balls of carb heaven. The Neapolitan pizza is a new favorite– super cheesy(the way pizza is meant to be). This is a great little spot that everyone should try. The cherry on top is the amazing service. Ashley is great! She is attentive, funny and knows the menu. Will be back soon.

Over on this side of town for an appointment, so I thought I would give this place a try based on its inclusion in the weekly newsletter from Orlando Unilocal.Pleasant little place. Greeted even before I walked in the door(I was checking in before walking in). The staff are all clothed in hats and tuxedo t-shirts(it works). I got my order to go, so I’ll come back afterward to discuss the rest of the food. I always grab a slice of pizza when trying a new place. Not impressed. No flavor, very bland. Of course, it’s a slice, not a fresh pie, but in from the Northeast where a slice represents your establishment. We’ll see how it goes with the rest of the food. UPDATE — The rest of the food was amazing! Meatballs, cheesy garlic knots, calzone with chicken and onions. All great. Meatballs in marinara were flavorful with surprisingly layered taste. I shared the calzone with my son who is a professional chef at a high end restaurant and he gave it 2 thumbs up! In short, I’ll be back.

I have been going to Tomasino’s for years because their pizza and salads are always excellent, and the prices are great! Ashley the waitress is our favorite because she is so friendly, and cute and the service she gives is fast and excellent! Meatball parm sandwich, spagetti, and the canolis are also top-notch! Cute décor and cozy benches to sit in, sometimes all the seats are full, but it turns over pretty fast. If you are in downtown Orlando and you are hungry, I recommend you try Tomasino’s today!

Excellent service and great food! Will come back again when in downtown Orlando. We ordered the«slice of the day» which was Neapolitan and wings. Wings were very good and the sauce was yummy. I only wish I ordered a hotter sauce. I ordered medium/bbq mix. Still very good flavor wise. The pizza was awesome and right up there with the best in the city.

WOW! Ordered a «Nancy» special which was a Bianca pizza(minus the ricotta) plus black olives, onions and garlic knot sauce. Crust foldable like true NY pizza. CJ our server was exceptionally helpful and attentive and with happy bellies we went home well fed and happy.

I was in the mood to try something new in the pizza department so Tomasino’s had been bookmarked for a while so I decided to grab some take out. I ordered a pie with half green peppers + onions and half pepperoni. It was so-so. It wasn’t bad but really nothing special and a bit greasy. However, the greek salad I ordered was REALLY good. The dressing was incredible and had some great and fresh toppings. It was kind of awkward walking up because theres a walk up window and a guy was hanging out of it talking to another employee outside and I wasn’t sure if that was where I picked up or if I should go inside??? I ended up going inside and its very small which I kind of like because it reminded me of pizza joints in NYC. They were very quick to complete my order though, which is always good for a hangry girl such as myself. I’m not sure that I would go back for the pizza but I would definitely order that greek salad again.

I love how you are greeted with such enthusiasm. .WELCOMETOTHEFAMILY! I ordered the margarita pizza. Very tasty but a bit dry. I redeemed my Unilocal coupon and got garlic knots, but was not a fan of the melted cheese on it. The knots themselves were good. I will be back because it had such great service
