The atmosphere, drinks, meal was fabulous,!!! we ordered the Surf & Turf and asked to change to 2 Surfs, Maine Lobster Tails, the excellent service staff about 3 wonderful men were more then happy to take care of that for us. Top of the line, My favorite place in Orlando Ask for the Beautiful Maryann, the Event Manager

What a great place for dining with good friends. Thank you, Marianne for the suggestion. The four of us decided on the summer special surf and turf with a bottle of wine. The food was excellent, the staff was amazing, the service was exceptional and the atmosphere was so pleasant. This is s great place to entertain friends and clients. We absolutely LOVE this place and will return.

Was disappointed in the service we ordered wine and was told we do not have that wine tonight, why are these things not expressed to the server. Also when I went to order the shrimp we do not have that either. I ordered the special filet and scallops, which was good but wish I was told the scallops were spicy. It seems like The staff is not interested in waiting on you like you are intruding their world, although the food was good I don’t know if I would go back

Very disappointing. I expect high quality service when I eat for these prices. That is not what we received. It took over an hour for our food to finally come out after putting our order in. There was no explanation until we pressed the waiter(he screwed up the order so they had to cook each dish again). However, an hour is still way longer than I’d expect to wait in this scenario. None of the bottles of wine that we ordered were available… but more expensive alternatives were recommended of course. For our troubles, our waiter brought us two glasses of red wine which was a $ 30 comp on a $ 420 check. The front of the house manager never said one word to us but instead spent his time at the bar. In summary, spend your money elsewhere. I recommend Eddie V’s across the street

If «Cybil» were a restaurant, she would be Vines. Here’s what it would sound like inside her head: «Am I a jazz club? Am I a steakhouse? Am I wine bar? Hmmm… Who do I love? Loud-mouthed, back-slappng bros doing shots at my bar in the middle of everything? Older couples just trying to celebrate an evening of fine dining? Goofy locals dancing to „Tommy Vegas“ on keys? Or selfie-taking tourists, who don’t realize that a „Chef’s Special“ is nothing more than a $ 74 combo platter, made by slawing together a steak entrée and two over-priced sides? I just don’t know! Sigh!»

The ambiance is very cozy and classy but not stuffy. The food was tasty and prepared with care and quality ingredients. They also have an outdoor seating area with sofas and chairs. We were told the live band started at 7:00 but they didn’t even arrive until closer to 8:00. That was very disappointing. We hung around for over an hour after we had finished eating & drinking to catch a song or two. And, the music was great. I look forward to going back. This time, much later, at about 6:30 to catch the tail end of happy hour and hopefully, the band.

Came here for a late drink and sat at the bar top. Place is nice inside, bartender was okay. Overall this place didn’t leave an impression on me, it wasn’t bad or good I guess it wasjust A-Ok … There was a band playing and it was super loud I remember that, lol… You will not found here a young crowd I’ll tell you that.

bacon, bacon, bacon. Okay so I admit there is a lot more to Vines than just delicious, crispy, meaty, artery clogging bacon… but it is one of the reasons I came here in the first place and definitely serves as an X factor. Vines does many aspects of the steakhouse experience well. Located in a strip mall on Sand Lake, the parking lot sometimes fills up but they offer complementary valet. Once you walk in, there is a goo chance you’ll be greeted by live jazz music. If you choose to sit at the bar, you’ll have you’re first encounter with their bacon. It is served on the bar like peanuts or pretzels at other establishments. When I dine I usually get seated right away but request a tower of bacon brought to the table. They have a good selection of steaks and I’ve never been disappointed with my choice of meat. The servers are top notch and I would describe the overall ambience as non-traditional upscale. It doesn’t remind me of a old style steakhouse from the 1920’a like Christeners( ) but still upscale non-the-less.

Disappointing. I did like the octopus. Never had it before, but it was pretty good. I got French onion soup and the vines salad(something like that). The soup was good. Tons of cheese! The salad was very disappointing. It was supposed to have caramelized nuts, apple, and other things. There were a couple slices of apple. I never really found the nuts. Other than that, it was small and pretty plain. For the price, I was expecting something way better, especially because it was supposed to be a meal, not a side salad. Parking was horrible. Just do valet and tip the guy a 5er.

First impressions are the most important, especially when you are at a certain price point. My wife and I wanted to have dinner and listen to a little jazz, this place fit the bill. A wine bar who has servers that don’t know how to open a bottle of wine?! We just laughed at that for a while then ordered the chilled seafood platter, shrimp, oysters and lobster. The shrimp were clearly old, the meat was mushy. And by god if you’re charging $ 30+ for a dozen oysters you better separate them from the shell! No real concern from management. We left and walked to MoonFish. The night took a turn for the better.

Stopped in on a Wednesday night for a late dinner and glass of wine. This is an excellent option on Sandlake if you’re looking for a nice glass of wine and pricey dinner, though not much on Sandlake isn’t. The octopus is especially delicious. I would highly recommend this appetizer though I ate it as my dinner and it was just right with aside for a late dinner. For my side I had brussels sprouts. Flavor was very good though a little bit oily. I’ll come back.

Great ambiance, live music, and food cooked to perfection! I was really looking forward to trying their foi gras here but it is from duck instead of goose so I had to save my decadent mouth dream for another time! I enjoyed a Chilean sea bass with lobster risotto, accompanied by a side dish of beets and crem fraiche. The«lobster» tasted a bit more like langoustine and was just ok, however, everything else was on point! My husband had a medium rib eye that was seasoned well and tasted sensational! The music was in the bar area and we were able to hear it well from the dining room and was instrumentally pleasing. I recommend this place to everyone!

My wife and I dined at Vines this evening for our 21st wedding anniversary. We’ve heard good things about the place and were excited to try it out. She’s always on the hunt for the perfect prime rib and I was in the mood for the King Crab claws. It is a beautiful restaurant and the in-house jazz trio was a nice touch(not too loud). We were seated immediately and our waiter was at the table within minutes. He went over some daily specials and answered our questions we had and took our orders. My wife and I both commented how nice the wait staff looked. The entire staff was in suits and ties. Our waiter was very pleasant and accommodating. Eva ordered the 16 oz. prime rib and I got 1 pound of champagne-butter poached crab claws served warm with drawn butter. She ordered the steak medium rare. The price of the prime rib was $ 46 for just the steak and the crab was $ 58. She got a side of broccolini($ 10) and we shared an order of french fries with Parmesan and truffle aioli(also $ 10). The restaurant was not very busy(I’d guess 30% full) and we were surprised at how long the entrees took to arrive. But, after waiting about 20 minutes we were served the food. Both dishes were cooked perfectly but I was surprised at the lack of flair in the plating. Very plain. The crab was just placed on some greens and served with the drawn butter and a lemon half. The prime rib was just placed in the middle of the plate with a sprig of some green herb placed on top(probably thyme). The crab was wonderful and was served pre-cracked. The drawn butter was unsalted which was a letdown for me. I calculated that I probably got a total of 6 – 7 oz of crab meat out of the shells. The prime rib was cooked just right, but was grilled instead of the traditional roasting method. While it was good(she said it didn’t make her top 10 of all time) it was strange for her because we’ve never seen prime rib with grill marks on it. They cleared the table and then took our order of one vanilla crème brûlée, which we split. It was perfectly fine with an obviously just-torched crispy top shell of sugar, but it wasn’t any better than what you would get on any cruise. It was also $ 10. Rounding out the bill, Eva had a $ 14 cocktail(about 6 oz.) that she enjoyed and I had a Diet Coke(they didn’t charge me). The total bill came to $ 170.40. Because the service was good(all good except the wait for the main courses and the dessert) and very pleasant we tipped 20%. The total bill came to $ 204.40. I won a $ 150 gift card in a raffle at work for the Vines restaurant so my out of pocket was $ 54.40. Was the meal worth $ 200? Hell no. Was it worth $ 54? Yes. It was an enjoyable experience. If I won another gift card I would go back. Otherwise, it’s too pricey for my taste. I would rather spend the $ 54 at Carrabba’s or Cooper’s Hawk and get a little more for my money. UPDATE11÷16÷15: It turns out that my wife didn’t order the Prime Rib, she ordered the Prime Rib Eye. So any criticisms of the grill marks are unwarranted. Her steak was cooked properly.

If I could paint a picture of my ideal bar, it would look a lot like Vines. In fact, I’m thinking it might be EXACTLY like Vines. Warm wood surroundings, spectacular bar area, comfortable seating, fabulous bartenders, generous pours, amazing cocktails, the best happy hour I’ve seen in recent memory, great food, live jazz, amazing wine selection by the glass, a slightly older crowd, no screaming kids… I mean, what more could you want? Exactly! This place has everything! It’s perfect. And happy hour? Are you kidding me? $ 1 oysters? Huge, fresh, tasty oysters. I could eat dozens. Steakhouse cheeseburger(yum!!!), Parmesan fries, Wagyu beef sliders, duck quesadillas, lamb meatballs, half price wine, $ 5 cocktails… Everything is AMAZING! And inexpensive! No wonder it was voted best happy hour in Orlando. And it runs from 4 – 7 daily! If I lived close, I would be there 3 – 4 times a week. It’s that good.

Came in with several work collegues for dinner. We started with several appetizers. The oysters, which came with an array of condiments to flavor them, were very fresh and plump. The smoked salmon tartar was delicious and was accompanied by crisp toast and topped with crème fraîche. The beef carpaccio was lean, thinly sliced and quite good. For dinner I opted for the ciopinno which was very large and filled with clams, mussels, sea bass, shrimp and scallops. It came with a very rich tomato broth and was good enough, once the seafood was consumed, to eat as a soup. We also shared several bottles from their huge wine list. We split several desserts with the crème brûlée being the best as it had a thick sugar crust and was very creamy on the inside. Service was very attentive.Recommened.

We loved this bar so much, we went 2 nights in a row on our recent vacation with our friends! What a beautiful classy bar with comfy bar stools that invite you to sink in and stay a while and we did! The bar has curves in it that mean 4 people can comfortably be seated and communicate well! The wine list is extensive and during happy hour they are ½ off with terrific selections from 4−7pm daily. I found a delightful Provence, French Rose that will also appear in my wine cellar as soon as I can find it! In 2 days we sampled multiple expertly concocted martinis and cocktails, several wines and most of the small plates, as well. Enormous fresh oysters, incredible burgers, lamb meatballs, curry mussels — all delicious. Honestly, they have their act together here! The steaks we saw sizzling in the main restaurant looked amazing but, we were so well tended in the bar by Toni and Natalie we saw no reason to move! The manager checked on our happiness level periodically, too. What a great experience at Vines — highly recommend!!!

In town on business and took some clients out for a nice dinner. We all decided on Vines Grille. We had a reservation for 8 pm and when we arrived we all were amazed on how slammed it was in there. I mean it’s a Tuesday night and this place was jammin. We were greeted by Katie our very lovely hostess. She explained that our table would be ready in 15 minutes due to the rush. She suggested we wait at the bar and when the table was ready she come find me. We were like great so we made our way over to the bar and we were greeted by Jenna who took care of our drink orders. She was very good and gave us outstanding service. So far this place is pretty on point. D e c o r This place was just classy. It had an elegant but modern feel and look to it. All of the women employees were stunningly beautiful. Babes Galore. D r i n k s I ordered a Dalmore 18& Johnny Walker Black Whiskey Sour. Both were quite good but I highly recommend the Dalmore 18 it’s very smooth and reminded me of Belvenie A p p e t i z e r s We order Beef Tartare with crustini and a tableside Caeser Salad that was hand made in front of us. The beef was delecious and the salad was quite good as well. I was impressed with both. E n t r e e s I ordered a 12oz Ribeye steak medium. It had a really nice seer/char on the outside. It was tender and cooked perfectly. Tasted great and I cleared my plate. My clients ordered Filet Minon and Ribeye both medium rare and I tried a little of my clients left over ribeye and oh man his steak was way better than mine which was odd because we ordered the same thing. My other client said his Filet was outstanding. He said it was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. Highly recommended. My Boss ordered the Lingini with Clams. He also said it was cooked perfect as well. He really liked it. No complaints. We also ordered a basket of Fries which were amazingly amazing. Gotta try them they are great but a little small portion size. S e r v i c e Our service was on point the entire night. I mean from the minute we walked in with Katie and her friendly outgoing personality than over to Jenna who was an Excellent Mixologist and our Table side salad creator and all of 3 of the Waiters. Everyone did an outstanding job. This is the type experience I look for when dining out. This is my first time to Orlando and my first restaurant to dine out at and it was just 5 stars baby. I L O V E Y O U V I N E S! O v e r a l l Great service, Beautiful bartenders & hostesses, delicious food, what more can you ask for. Just want to say Thank you to the Vines Team for creating such a wonderful and memorable night for us. Thanks for Reading, Matthew Y.

I really should go four stars on this review but thought the prices were a little too steep for what you get. Their special 50oz porterhouse was on sale for $ 140. Most other steaks were in the high $ 30s and $ 40s. I had a wait at the bar for my party to arrive but Rebecca took good care of me. The thing to gnaw at the bar though is a cone of bacon. I think there were eight slices in there but after three or so I had my fill. We sat down around 6pm or so and the place was just starting to fill up. By the time we finished it was packed. I started with the shrimp cocktail and snails. The shrimp were huge and enjoyable. I don’t go out of my way to eat snails but did enjoy one or two of them. They were very well seasoned and didn’t taste like dirt at all. I ordered the heirloom Greek salad and New York strip steak with grilled onions. The salad was awesome and not at all what I expected. Very chunky, a huge hunk of cheese and tons of olives were in the bowl. The steak was cooked exactly to the temperature I ordered, well seasoned and quite tasty. Even at 18oz(I think) I managed to devour it all. At this point, I had no room for dessert but the list looked impressive. Our waiter was attentive at first but less so as the night wore on. Not really a problem but could have been better. A live band started up in the middle of dinner and although I found myself tapping my toes to the beat they were too loud to carry on a table conversation. Like I said above, a little too pricey for what you get IMHO but the place was packed so they must be doing it right.
