It doesn’t get any better than Ocean Prime! Worth the money, even tho it is pricey. I’ve been going to the Indianapolis location for a couple years and have never had anything but a great experience so I had big expectations for the Orlando location. This location did not let me down. Absolutely delicious. Great servers and bartenders. On my week vacation I was lucky enough to go here twice! Spoke to one of the chefs who was extremely friendly and also spoke with Rick who was also very friendly and knowledgable about the OP brand. It was a treat. If you go, order yourself a Ruby Red drink, its outstanding

Food was good, but certainly not worth the price. We were dying for some good food after eating Disney park food all week, and just wanted to have a nice glass of wine and something nice to eat. For 2, with a drink, app, and dinner, I expect exceptionalism for $ 250.

ABSOLUTELYHORRIBLE. If you want to kill your dating life, this is the best place to become single! We waited for two hours at the table to get our appetizers and entrees. Got there at 7PMET. Served Entrees at 9PMET. There was nothing special that would cause this delay. The restaurant wasn’t that crowded. This was a business dinner and I wasn’t picking up the check. We had plenty of banter and laughter at the table but — damn — I was hungry. Food was very good. Service was fine. That kitchen MUST be a fucking nightmare.

I dined at Ocean Prime on Sunday May 1st. I will begin by saying this is the friendliest, most hospitable restaurant I have dined in. The friendliness of every staff member bumped the rating from 4 to 5 stars. The manager was present and engaged, stopped and inquired about our meal a couple of times, made us feel that they truly valued our patronage. Our server and the manager both wanted to ensure we had a fantastic meal and shook our hands as we departed. And even the hostess was super friendly as we walked out, asking about our dining experience. Getting to the food. We started with the white truffle caviar deviled eggs and the surf and turf appetizers. The deviled eggs were unlike any I’ve ever tasted, so decadently delicious! The surf and turf comprised of sea scallops and slow braised short ribs. Wow! Next time I may just order 2 portions in place of my entrée. The scallops were perfectly seared, the short ribs, served on a bed of mashed potatoes, fork tender. For my entrée, I had the ribeye. It was well seasoned and prepared to the perfect temperature. I thought I had ordered it with the black truffle butter, but it was served without any accompaniments. But our server resolved that immediately and brought out the black truffle butter and truffles right away. For my side, I ordered the jalapeño gratin. So yummy! You get the flavor of the jalapeño, but virtually no heat. I also tried more than a few bites of my friend’s baked potato. Whatever variety of spud they use in Ocean Prime… it’s the yummiest I’ve ever had. For dessert we had the baked Alaska. Pound cake layered with vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate ice cream… topped off with toasted meringue. My friend ordered 2 cocktails, the Black Orchid and the Tequila Cocktail. The Black Orchid was presented beautifully in a martini glass with an Orchid frozen in an ice cube. My friend especially liked the Tequila Cocktail… the rim is dipped in a combination of sugar/salt/cinnamon. While the prices are on the higher end, they are well worth it. Looking forward to returning soon!

We have visited 2 locations now and are big fans! Great food, impeccable service and a beautiful restaurant. Met by cheerful hostesses and seated immediately for our 6:30 reservation on Thursday evening. By 7, the restaurant was full. Several large parties came in, and we were happy to see 4 – 5 glass-enclosed rooms to accommodate them.(Sometimes those large parties can ruin a perfectly good evening!) Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable, going over specifics on the menu and helping us decide. Steak was cooked perfectly, and fish dishes were delightful. Layers of flavors were wonderful. Standouts were the Ahi Tuna Tartare and Crisp Wedge Salad. No room for dessert, so we took it to go. The Peanut Butter Pie and Lemon Blueberry Cheesecake were a hit! Can’t wait to return to Ocean Prime! Build one on the southeast coast of Florida, would you?

From Columbus, visiting Orlando for work and came here one night. It’s a Mitchell restaurant, so I pretty much know what to expect coming to one of his establishments. It was almost a list minute decision, came in the late evening without a reservation, we weren’t expecting a seat, but gave it a shot. The were very accommodating and were able to sit us right away. They had some live music in the bar, it was good, but rather too loud to have any type of conversation at a normal volume. But he took breaks, so it wasn’t constant the whole time. Service and food were on par with what I was expecting. The server, just amazing, and very beautiful too.

I can’t say enough good thing about this place. The restaurant is beautiful. The food and the service were both on point. We had a party of 6 on a Sunday early evening. We sat and no one came to our table for a good 10 – 15 minutes. I flagged down the hostess that sat us and I guess they got thing figured out. The manager bought us a round of drinks for the inconvenience. We almost all ordered the special, surf and turf. You got an 8 ounce filet and your choice of scallops, crab cake or shrimp scampi with a salad or onion soup and a side for $ 55. I ordered the special with a crab cake, Caesar salad and Brussels sprouts that weren’t on the menu but they did it for me anyway. I ordered my steak medium rare plus and it was cooked perfectly and my Brussels sprouts well done and they were crispy and black just the way I like them. We had a lot of special ordering going on – no this, no that, add this and our server Kevin was awesome and totally took care of us. Can’t wait to go back and hit up their happy hour.

Came here for my birthday… and had a great time… tried different things sushi wasn’t my thing but everything was amazing even the drinks. Hostesses was lovely all the staff was lovely. The manger came by knew was my first time there and welcomed me and my bf. If this place was a lot closer I would dine every day. Wish I could give more stars. Such a nice classy place

Ocean Prime is a place of old-fashioned elegance and modern taste. The main dining room is shaped in a curving triangle like the prow of a ship. The walls are lined with smooth wood paneling accented by strips of blue lights. Big round windows like portholes open onto the lounge. The tables are covered with white linens, sparkling goblets and gleaming silver. The softly lit room is spacious, but there is no annoying echo, and you can carry on a conversation without shouting. On an evening in April, my husband and I started our dinner with the Dynamite Sushi, a delectable combination of sticky rice, tempura shrimp, and a spicy sauce. We then enjoyed our favorite appetizers: lobster bisque with corn fritter for me, the house salad with apple and goat cheese for him. These were accompanied by delicious sourdough bread. For the entrée, my husband had the scallops with risotto. He did not care for the peas in the risotto, and I thought the rice was a tad salty. But the scallops had a nice flavor. My entrée was the Arctic char. It was perfect, delicate and moist, lightly dusted with a Mediterranean spice blend. The fish was accompanied by a tasty salad of green beans, carrots, leaves of Brussels sprouts, quinoa, and almonds. We also ordered a side of truffle mac and cheese. I didn’t care for that; the pasta was good but the sauce had the gummy texture of Velveeta. My husband assured me the cheese was a sharp cheddar. For dessert, we shared the mango coconut sorbet. It was the best sorbet I’ve ever eaten, smooth and creamy and not too sweet. Service was impeccable. Our team of waiters, dashing in their black shirts and slacks, made us feel like royalty. Alex described the menu choices with enthusiasm. The others promptly refilled our water glasses, brought clean silverware for each course, and scraped the crumbs off the table. Ocean Prime is expensive, and I’m sure there are times when its service or food items do not warrant the high prices. But the special experience we had that April night was worth it.

Checked this place out on Valentine’s Day, and may I say it was a phenomenal choice! Servers were professional and food was perfection. I kid you not, get the steak! It will be the best steak you’ve probably ever had in your life. Lobster is very delicious too. So yummy. Be prepared to spend $ 180+ on a date for two, especially if you’re getting a bottle of wine! Great place!

Excellent on all levels. The room is beautiful and very inviting. The bar has some great drinks, you have to try the berries and bubbles with the dry ice smoke pouring out of it. Our service was great from the whole team. The menu was full of great choices, hard to decide what will be best because they all sound so good in the descriptions. My grouper was delicious and perfectly prepared.

I kept on hearing how good the ribeye was, but I wasn’t buying into all the hype. Hands down the best ribeye that I’ve had to date. Steak so good that you will unknowingly start to drool just thinking about it. Whats interesting about the steak is not only the fact that its broiled at a really high temperature but also the cut of the steak. A no bone no visible fat ribeye, but once you cut into the steak the marbled fat appears and the juices burst out complementing the soft buttery texture of the steak. Oh yeah the lobster mashed potato was good too…

Food was good, while service was surprisingly subpar. I stopped by around 9pm for an impromptu dinner on a Saturday. We didn’t want to sit at a high top table so we opted for the main dining seating, which in hindsight was a poor choice. I honestly felt our server had a «IDGAF» attitude toward us, which really made our first time experience awkward. I could list out all the details that went wrong, but there’s no point for me. Food wise, the goat cheese ravioli appetizer was seasoned well, but undercooked. Our entrees of crabcakes and scallops were decent, but took over an hour to be served. An hour doesn’t sound bad, but keep in mind the dining room is barely at half capacity and the majority of the tables have already been served their main courses. The highlights of the night for me was the side order of truffle mac and cheese, the live music, and my orchid cocktail. I’m glad other Unilocalers had a great time here for their special occasions, but I just didn’t have that same luck.

Ocean Prime is a modern American restaurant and lounge from renowned restauranteur Cameron Mitchell. The interior is elegant, yet relaxed with white linen and mellow oceanic vibe. Berries & Bubbles($ 14) is made with Belvedere Cytrus Vodka, marinated blackberries, house made sour, and Domaine Chandon Brut. Dry ice gives it a bubbling caldron effect. The flavor is sweet and tangy from the blackberries and very smooth. Rating: 4.5÷5 Black Orchid($ 13) is Belvedere Black Raspberry Vodka, St. Germaine Elderflower liqueur, hand squeezed lemon, and white cranberry juice presented with a round ice cube with a purple orchid frozen within. As the ice cube melts, the petals spring to life and float inside the drink. The flavor is light and tropical, almost like lychee. Rating: 5⁄5 White Truffle Caviar Deviled Eggs($ 12) are the most decadent deviled eggs you’ll ever experience. The lusciously smooth yolk mixture paired with the truffle aroma and flavor is just mind-blowing. The caviar adds just the right amount of salty flavor. The yolk mixture is beautifully piped into the white halves like mini beehives. Rating: 5⁄5 East Coast Oysters on the Half Shell($ 18) are presented on ice with cocktail sauce, horseradish, and lemon. The oysters are plump and juicy. They are sweet with a touch of briny flavor to balance the palate. Rating: 5⁄5 Dutch Harbor King Crab Legs($ 59) are split and served with asparagus and drawn butter. The drawn butter had a tea light warmer underneath to keep the butter from solidifying during your meal. The crab legs are cooked to perfection and the meat just fell cleanly out of the shells. The meat is sweet and buttery on its own so it doesn’t require as many dunks into the drawn butter. Rating: 5⁄5 16 oz. Ribeye($ 46), seasoned and broiled at 1200 degrees, topped with black truffle butter($ 4) is beautifully cooked to your liking(black and blue in this case). The ribeye is wet-aged for 21 days to impart a more condensed flavor of beef. The outside has a great char from the high heat broil, sealing the juices inside. The steak cuts like butter even at a black and blue temperature. The black truffle butter adds a sensually decadent flavor while bringing the sweetness of the beef to the forefront. Rating: 4.5÷5 Parmesan Truffle Fries($ 9) are freshly cut in house and fried to perfection. The exterior is crispy and the interior is fluffy. The truffle flavor was subdued by the parmesan. Either adding more truffle oil or reducing the amount of parmesan will help the truffle flavor come through. Rating: 4.5÷5 Roasted Brussels Sprouts($ 10) are so cute like tiny caramelized gems. The outside imparts caramelized and roasted flavor while the interior is tender and sweet. Rating: 5⁄5 Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie($ 10) is peanut butter mousse encased in bittersweet chocolate ganache. It is beautifully presented with dark chocolate straw, whipped cream, and purple orchids. It looks like a fancy giant Reese’s peanut butter cup. The chocolate ganache is silky smooth and melts immediately on the tongue. The peanut butter mousse is fluffy and rich with peanut butter flavor. Rating: 5⁄5

Ocean Prime has amazing food, service, ambiance, and experience! The sourdough bread that they bring out is literally life changing. Hot and freshly made with light whipped butter. SOGOOD. Happy hour is everyday from 5pm to 7pm. Try the teriyaki salmon or the Chilean sea bass. The jalapeño au gratin and the parmesan truffle fries are top notch. Can’t wait to go back. Yum!

This is tricky. If i were to rate my experience I would give it 4 stars for the regular menu but if I were to rate based off my experience off of the Magical Dining Menu for 2015 I would give it a 3 star. Magical Dining 2015: So for this option you are allowed to choose a appetizer(french onion soup), entrée(pot roast), and a dessert(cake/like a peanut butter mousse cake) for 33 dollars. It’s a great deal!(My entrée alone for the chilean sea bass was 46 dollars!) Although only for 33 dollars, it was average tasting. The Pot Roast was well seasoned but it wasn’t that tender melt in your mouth pot roast. The french onion was good but needed to be seasoned a bit more. The best from MDM was the dessert. It was killer. Smooth and peanut buttery with the chocolate outer layer. Regular Dining: As I mentioned above, I had the chilean sea bass as my entrée but also ordered the surf and turf($ 18) for my appetizer. The appetizer was scallops that were seared perfectly with short ribs. The short ribs was truly braised well and was incredibly tender. The scallops were large and seared just to perfection. My seabass that came as a entrée was also cooked very well. It has a slight crust on outside but inside remains buttery and soft. It was also a big piece of fish too that I couldn’t finish. Overall if I combined my experiences it would be a 3.5 but I rounded up. Their service was kind and not really pretentious. They didn’t have an attitude when we had requested the MDM menu so that was nice. Some places are so surprised that people ask for that menu when they know the restaurant is a participant.

If you’re sensitive to cold environments, bring a sweater, scarf, or jacket. Not to worry though, I ordered French onion soup to warm me up and it did exactly that. Very satisfying and tasty. The teriyaki salmon was superb. Cooked perfectly and served over white rice with sauce.. . With no corkage fee corkage, we enjoyed our selected wine and our server Shawn was happy to taste. Shawn was the perfect server, and a joy. He started a super project called corks for change – a cork recycling project benefiting give kids the world among other causes. Super idea! You know what, the entire meal was just perfect. Complimentary valet parking. Intimate dining room with private dining eating available.. . Just a terrific experience.

So my friend and I decided to dine here as part of Orlando’s Magical Dining Month. I drive by it quite frequently and I love the Menchie’s next door, so I had scoped it out a few times. We were offered both a regular menu and a special dining month menu. The place is definitely on the pricey side. The 8oz filet is $ 40. A house salad is $ 13. This is why we both ordered off of the $ 33 dining month menu. Everything on the dining month menu comes in smaller portions, but since you get 3 courses it was still plenty of food. We started with cocktails. I had a cocktail called a Black Orchid. It had white cranberry juice and St. Germain. There were additional ingredients, but they had me at St. Germain. It was served in a martini glass with an orchid frozen in an ice cube. Very cool. My friend had a glass of Shiraz. The wine list here was quite good. Lots of familiar options, but some new ones as well. Our assistant server started us with the sourdough bread which was out of this world good. I am a sucker for good sourdough. Very flavorful, and just the right crunch on the crust. I started with the house salad. It was made of mixed greens, goat cheese, pecans, and apples tossed in a sherry mustard vinaigrette. This was definitely my kind of salad. Absolutely delicious. My friend had the French Onion soup and said was the some of the best she had ever had. We both enjoyed the Filet with au jus and mushrooms for our entrée. Neither of us are big seafood eaters. Sorry. It was outstanding. I ordered mine cooked medium and it could not have been more perfectly cooked. A well cooked steak is a thing of beauty and this was stellar. The flavors that came from this steak were just top notch. Finally, I had the carrot cake for dessert. It was excellent. My friend had the chocolate peanut butter pie, which we both described sort of as a giant Reese’s peanut butter cup, but with creamier filling. The ambiance here is classy yet modern. I love places like Shula’s, but they are so dark. This place was more light and fanciful. There was plenty of room between the tables. It was large enough not to feel crowded, but not so big that it didn’t feel intimate. I went with a friend, but it would be a great place for a date night. There were a few people here in jeans, but they definitely looked out of place and although there were a few families in the restaurant it was mostly couples. This is a dining experience and as such it takes about 2 hours to dine here. I wouldn’t really recommend it for children.

I’m going to start off by saying that we had such an amazing time at this restaurant last night. Best dining experience I’ve had in a long time. We sat at a booth in the lounge and were promptly served with complementary truffle popcorn. As an appetizer we had the black truffle caviar deviled eggs, they were so much better than I am even able to explain. We almost ordered some to take home(embarrassing but true). I forgot the name of the drink that I ordered but it was delicious. My boyfriend had the cucumber gimlet which was very refreshing and light. As we waited our order which was taking longer than expected, the chef sent out a shrimp cocktail for us to share. The gesture was very sweet and the shrimp cocktail was awesome(some of the biggest shrimps I’ve ever had). For an entrée my boyfriend had the bone in filet, Oscar style. The steak was delicious and absolutely perfect in every way. I had the Chilean sea bass on truffle whipped potatoes. The fish was a very nice cut, perfectly cooked and beautifully flaky. We also had the truffle Mac and cheese as a side which was also to die for. This experience was so pleasant and we would love to return next time we are in Orlando. Highly recommended!

A good choice if you can’t decide between steak and seafood. The place can(will) get quite loud, so ask for a quiet table(one of the booths is best; booth 58 is ideal). The tuna tartare appetizer and the house salad are standouts. Jalapeño au gratins are a great choice for a side, and are not particularly spicy. There is an extensive selection of wines by the glass at reasonable prices. Service is exceptional, perhaps the best on all of restaurant row. Live music on Thursday through Saturday is loud in the bar, but perfectly piped into the dining room. Valet parking is available for those who can’t be bothered to walk fifty feet.
