Waffle Houses are an interesting restaurant chain. I have found that no two are the same. I’ve been in some that were completely disgusting. The service was terrible and I couldn’t help but worry when I felt something scuttle across my foot under the table. But also, I’ve been to Waffle Houses that were clean and welcoming. The staff is friendly and treats you like family and the food is good. I’m happy to say that this particular Waffle House is the latter. Good food, good service. Clean, nice and no creepy crawlies to be seen.

3 stars for the friendly staff. 1 star for the quality of food. I guess you get what you pay for. I suppose it’s OK for breakfast on the fly but I would rather eat at a different breakfast place before I eat here again.

I sarcastically went to Waffle House and sarcastically ordered and ate a large plate of hash browns. That’s about where the sarcasm ended, because the place was clean, enjoyable, and above all, cheap. Two of us got really fat for only about $ 20. That includes lots of hash browns, several eggs, a buttload of toast, some sausage(the sausage was the only part that wasn’t great), waffles, and coffee. The food is prepared in a mystifying assembly line which is in full view of the customer. I don’t think I could handle the orders flying through the air like locusts, but the hardworking kids at the grill managed it with what appeared to be a lot of stress but little difficulty. All in all I would consider this place to be a sensory overload, which may have explained how one evidently high woman passed out in her seat. She also may have been a robot unable to process the sheer amount of data. If you’re looking for advice, here we go: I recommend the hash browns, at something like $ 5 for a giant customized plate. I do not recommend the sausage. It was a little scary.

Outstanding service, food was fresh, hot and delicious. Yami was a fabulous server and very friendly. I haven’t been to a Waffle House in years and this visit has given me the go-ahead to return!!!

I was visiting Orlando for the weekend and stopped at Waffle House to grab breakfast. Overall their service was spectacular, they were very kind and super helpful. Everything seems to be served in bigger portions in Orlando and Waffle House was no different. I split 1 order of their Continental Breakfast with a side of bacon and it was plenty. The reason I gave this place a 3 star is because I ordered 1 plate of food with a side of bacon and two coffees which came out to $ 18. I thought that was a bit excessive, but because of their great service I didnt bother to check my receipt to know where I went wrong.

Overall a good breakfast. Wait staff was friendly and prompt. I almost always get the cheese steak omelet with hash browns. No exceptions this time. Omelet was better than normal, not as greasy as past one from other locations. We’ll be back.

My family usually visits the Waffle House on Colonial and Alafaya 20 minutes drive. Now we only drive 10 minutes. This location is bigger too! My wife and I split the All American. That meal is large enough for two. Greatest test is over-hard eggs. They came out flawless. Servers were very friendly and attentive even while it was busy. We gave a tip that showed our appreciation. We may come every weekend!

Great experience here! Fran was our server today and she was really attentive and friendly. My mom and I both had waffles, and they were fluffy and delicious. Eggs cooked perfectly! Will definitely be back!

The wait is over! The Waffle House on Semoran opened Tuesday afternoon. I was greeted at the door and seated at the counter. The place is clean and crawling with staff. The food — waffles, hash browns, sausage, eggs, toast — is perfect comfort fare.

Every Time I visit orlando I have to stop at a Waffle House at least once. This place had minimal wait time, about 5 mins. The service was great and quick; although, we had two minor setbacks which I will override them. This time we chose to sit at the counter, so we were able to see the action in the kitchen first hand. The workers are fast! Calling out the orders. I gave them 4 stars due to the dirty coffee cup(it had lipstick stain) Ewww! And for getting the wrong hash brown order. The food is good although not the healthiest but than again why watch what you eat while on vacation. Right? If it wasn’t for the cup and the hash brown mix up, I would have given them a 5 star rating.

Just went here with the hubs. Sooo good! We haven’t been to a Waffle House in years and recently read an article in Bön Appétit about the Waffle House — so we had a craving! We both had the Texas Bacon Patty Melt; mine on white and his on the Texas Toast. We had a side of hash browns and a pecan waffle to share. Everything was done perfectly, definitely hit the spot. The place is super clean too and well staffed since they’re brand new. Naomi was are server and really friendly. We chatted with her about their cool system of filling orders and other fun facts. If you’ve never been to a Waffle House, its basically a Southern old-fashion diner style restaurant, small on the inside and big on heart. Don’t expect gourmet food, expect well made and filling breakfast/lunch items similar to IHOP or dinners-but a little bit better in my opinion. Since this location is so new it wasn’t too busy but I expect to get busy once more people realize it’s open.
