Nice atmosphere, great drinks, very nice waitstaff, but I’m all about the food, which was overpriced for the quality. Not impressed.

Not a bad place. Certainly on the pricier side, so come expect a finer dining experience. Has a dim lit intimate feel to it at night. Went with my dad once a year ago and though it was good food, it just didn’t exactly justify its price range.

Don’t miss the seared-Ahi tuna! Absolutely delicious, as were the blackened sea scallops and shrimp. Will definitely be going back!

I’ve been going here every year on a family trip to the Cape, however our latest trip here left us «disappointed». The food was just ok. Maybe I came to expect more but the blackend fish was just«ok» with the typical over steamed vegetables. Maybe I should of gotten the Tuna as all the pictures on the site look good and this is what I expected from Mahoney’s. My wife got the crab cakes and they had too much bread which overpowered the cake. I’m sorry to say but the best dish we got was the kids cheeseburger… Wait staff was good so I can’t complain about the service, i just didn’t feel the meal was worth the price tag.

Passing through Orleans we found this restaurant on Unilocal. The atmosphere was welcoming and up to date. We had oysters, ahi tuna, beet salad, meatloaf, rack of lamb and martinis. Everything was delicious and our waitress was very good! The only note I have is the rack’s ribs were tiny.

Stopped here twice on a week long vacation and enjoyed my meal both times. The first time we came in our waitress was Rebecca, and Sue was our waitress the second time. They were both great. The only odd thing about the service is how you have to walk about half way into the restaurant to get to the hostess stand. We and a few other people were confused my that. The bread they serve is delicious. For meals I got the pork tenderloin and the cod provencal, both with white beans and greens and green beans. I enjoyed both, although my pork was a tab bit over cooked an dry. The carpet in this place could stand to be changed. It is my biggest turn off with a restaurant as it always feels weird and/or smells. But overall, I would definitely be back here.

Probably the meal we enjoyed the most on the Cape — very fresh seafood and some interesting and unexpected flavors. I especially liked the ahi tuna poke appetizer which was very well done. My wife and I shared a spinach salad which was good if not particularly surprising and we also had seafood cakes and some lobster. Wait staff were great and the interior of the restaurant seemed a bit more upscale than some of the other places we went to.

The ahi tua poke special appetizer was outstanding, if we had time I would have gone back just for that the next day. I got a greek salad with chicken which was enjoyable and my boyfriend got a pot of shellfish or something like that, which he enjoyed. We’re fairly low maintenance, so service was fine but definitely notied the bus boys seemed like the hardest working guys in there.

This place is fantastic! The food is consistently great, and excellent staff. I love their tuna bolangese, but they also have wonderful specials. Highly recommend it!

Mahoney’s is the best spot in Orleans. I have been going here since I was a kid and the food is great. Was back home a couple weeks ago and it did not disappoint. Seared tuna is fantastic, so are the grilled skewers. You can’t go wrong, everything is really very good.

Great choice in Orleans. We ate in the bar area and had excellent service. Wine by the glass choices best we found in Orleans. Fish was fresh and traditionally prepared.

Mahoney’s has an atmosphere like no others around. The food is great. I eat there weekly now that I am on the Cape more often. The bartenders are always entertaining, a great place to go sit at the bar. Have met some great people there, comfortable friendly place. The tuna bolognaise is my favorite dish there. Dishes range from $ 20.00– 30.00. The appetizers are great. All the salad dressing are made there and they make their own broths and sauces, something people don’t always know about a restaurant. But their extra effort makes the food special. The chocolate bomb desert is amazing. Don’t know what Travis M is talking about here at all.

Extremely expensive for what you get. Dinner for two was $ 160, including tip. Food wasn’t even that good. Go to rock harbor grill instead, totally delicious, better atmosphere and cheap.

A wonderful place for drinks and appetizers. They have a nice wine list, good cocktails, and the tuna sashimi and the drunken shellfish are delicious. Lots of parking behind the restaurant is a plus as well, especially in the summer months.

I can’t say enough good things about Mahoneys. The food is prepared beautifully, the drinks are poured perfectly, the menu choices are artfully modern yet classic/traditional to satisfy every palette. For summer ’15, their menu got a gluten-free facelift. Killer options for us with allergies – including fried calamari. Delish! Many thanks to Matt, Mark, Mark, and Max for their killer creations! Keep up the great work, Mahoneys.

I had a three-course prix fixe dinner at Mahoney’s Atlantic Bar & Grill. I chose the Garden Salad, Grilled Salmon with risotto, and Apple Cobbler. The salad was probably the most boring salad I have ever had… just a plate of field greens, carrot, cucumber, grape tomato, and red cabbage. The vinaigrette on the side was pretty plain as well. I got grilled salmon(asked for it to be rare) with risotto and asparagus. The salmon had fried onions on top with chipotle cream on the side. The steamed asparagus and risotto were both so bland that I must have dumped salt on top. The salmon was grilled nicely on top, but could have been on the skillet for a couple minutes less. We also had root vegetables on the side, which had sautéed Carrot, Turnip, Fennel, Onion, & Spinach in tomato sauce. It wasn’t that great either. I skipped the dessert.

Lobster 1.5lbs brandy flambeau — patient & pleasant waitress. My guests had the steak tips — well seasoned and cooked to perfection.

Amazing seafood. We went and got oysters(very fresh and delicious) the drunken seafood app, tuna sashimi and the root vegetables. Let me tell you everything was prepared to perfection. And don’t let the root vegetables trick you — these were anything but boring. Great flavor — my favorite thing so far. We also got blueberry bread pudding for dessert– to die for. You won’t be disappointed coming here for dinner — especially if you’re looking for fresh seafood.

Decent food on a limited menu. I like that, as my experience has shown that those who try to specialize in Everything, usually do it half… ways. I like a few good options done right. Tomorrow I can go back for something different. We went there on a Sunday eve. and had no wait for a table for two in a front window corner. Perfect, as there was no noise source from 2 directions. As a guy with background noise issues that is a big plus! I had Atlantic Salmon blackened perfectly while my lady friend ordered tuna shashimi. Add some calamari, 2 bowls of chowder, grilled asparagus for my veggie and a nice chianti… 2 happy campers. Total w/o tax or tip was $ 80. Not bad for a full meal served in a casual cape cod summer atmosphere..
