The Yardarm is I moment in time, once savored never forgotten, we stopped by for a quick meal and were given the finest yummy for the tummy — our waitress was attentive and on the mark with what was in the menu we really enjoyed the Cheers atmosphere that was in a class of its own as all were obviously at ease in an environment that aimed to please — I give 5 stars and will come again and again :)

This local pub was recently sold to new owners who have been visitors to the cape for years. Under the new ownership the increased pricing on the drinks has been significant. Food pricing has also increased. It was always the place for good and reasonable prices. It’s now very expensive vs other pubs in the area for what the Yardarm offers. I would stick to the sandwich menu and water to get out of the place for under $ 100 for 3 people.

3 and a half. Old fashioned pub serving classic pub and Cape Cod fare. While I like some other nearby taverns better(with more creative specials and more diverse age range of diners), the Yardarm is worthy of a stop for lunch or dinner once in a while. The seafood chowder is really chock-a-block full of fish, crab etc. French onion soup is decent. Want to try their prime rib deal night sometime soon.

They have the best fried fish in the area. The fish and chips, the fisherman’s platter… both outstanding. Very fresh fish as in… caught today. Waitresses are hit and miss but all nice. It’s a good value and a place I go to frequently

By far one of the worst dining experiences I have had. The only reason this place is getting 2 stars instead of 1 is because my grilled lamb wasn’t so bad. I came here with a group of three other people. It was very busy and we waited about 35 minutes to get seated. That wasn’t so bad. When we were seated, our waitress greeted us and we one member of my party ordered a clam chowder and asked for some Tobasco sauce on the side. I ordered an Angry Orchard cider. The chowder and my drink were brought out fairly quickly but there was no Tobasco sauce and the glass that was brought out with my cider had a lipstick smudge on it. I told the waitress and she looked at the glass and took it away. No apology or anything. A new glass was brought out, but the sauce never materialized. Next it came time to order dinner. I got the grilled lamb special with bacon and cheese mashed potatoes and no vegetables because the only options were asparagus and cole slaw. I do not like cole slaw and I have a slight asparagus allergy, which I made sure to mention to our server. Two other people in my group ordered the prime rib special: one medium and one medium rare with bacon and cheese mashed potatoes and the asparagus. It took about an hour for us to get our food and we weren’t checked on once, nor did anyone come over to apologize. The restaurant was busy, but it is the Cape during summer. Of course it is busy. The two prime ribs were brought out and then I assumed the waitress went back to get the other two meals, but she served another table, that was seated much after us, before she brought out the rest of our meals. When my food came out, the asparagus was on the plate and I had a baked potato instead of the mashed potatoes because they had run out and no one told us during our extremely long wait. I mentioned to the waitress about the allergy and she looked at me and said«oh» while someone else removed it from my plate. Then she looked at me and said«OK?» and walked away. No apology or anything. If it had been a serious allergy, I would have been in trouble. The medium prime rib was pretty much still mooing and after waiting a while to flag down our waitress again, it was sent back. What was brought back out was a gray, horrendous looking piece of meat that was not eaten and taken off the bill. I never need to come back here again. The only things I liked were the lamb and the bread at the beginning. Everything else left a lot to be desired.

Good lunch food, charming service. Surprisingly empty at noon on a Sunday. They make their own root beer, and it’s fantastic!

This hidden gem is a newly renovated no frills eatery that typically services locals and tourists. The food is fresh and tasty, the staff is attentive and caring and the portions are quite large. We had lobster rolls and salads. The lobster roll was huge, the meat was sweet and tender and not too laden in mayo. Absolutely delicious. I recommend the Yardarm and will definitely return on our next trip to the Cape.

The food was great however the time we had to wait to get our food was long and the waitress seemed to be less friendly at our racially mixed table. She never asked how the food was or if we needed anything but she did to other customers

The Yardarm is truly a place for neighbors in the ‘hood. Friendly, and my friends say it has the best onion rings on the planet. That, I couldn’t say, I don’t eat them. But that, again, is tonight’s destination!

Walked in trying to order takeout from the bar– Bar tender took the drink orders of 3 people who walked in after me. So I left and ended up picking up frozen pizza at the gas station for the night. Can’t help but think that the frozen pizza is better than the food would’ve been from here. Thanks for the warm welcome to Cape Cod!

A awesome resturant! Was a little intimidated at first because it seems to be locals joint, but treated great by then hostess and waitress. Got a daily special whole family got other things on menu. Everyone’s food was out of this world. Also beer was cold. Will visit this place again. Make sure you read the white board for the daily specials!

Pub Fare, but a wide assortment of both fresh seafood and grilled or broiled meat dishes. The crock of onion soup is one of the best i’ve had. The stuffed quahog that i had last week was very good, and larger than ones i have had there before. This place is a local hang out, so tyou know the seafood is local and fresh. There are nightly specials on several nights of the week such as steak night, mexican night, prime rib night etc. Its good food.

This place isn’t fancy, but the food has always been very good, I eat here often, never had a bad meal. Last night I had the eggplant parmesan. It’s an inexpensive meal. The red sauce was so good! It tasted like freshly made sauce ought to. the eggplant was so good! Not to thinly sliced and deep fried. both served over a perfectly cooked and well drained linquini. The portion was large to say the least. My food came out piping hot… My husband had the baked scrod, which he said was delicious. This is a local place so don’t expect linen napkins or outrageously priced menus items.

Not bad, not great. They have a solid beer list, a cozy dining room and a fairly expansive menu. The staff seems nice and competent enough, but didn’t leave any lasting impression. Our food is where the only real issue was. And not because it was bad, but again, it failed to make any real impression. I had a bowl of the clam chowder. Eh. Then I had the fish tacos, a house favorite according to the menu. Eh. My girlfriend did not like her severely overcooked burger. Probably won’t be back.

Excellent food at a good price. The service was friendly and efficient. We went for dinner on a Thursday night and were seated right away. I had the steak tips and onion soup. She had the BBQ ribs. All were excellent! We will be back for sure!

OMG. This was so terrible! We just had lunch there. Service was unfriendly but efficient. Clam chowder was edible but canned. The lobster roll arrived with only one side of the bun grilled. The other side was soggy and coated in grease. The lobster meat looked old and unappetizing but I hoped it would taste better. No such luck. It was lobster that was clearly not fresh and tasted foul. My husbands burger was mediocre(think frozen and preformed beef patty) and his fries were bland and not worth eating. The waitress seemed put out that I sent back my lobster roll and never apologized. They did take it off the bill though. Never again will I be eating here.

One of our favorite places for a casual no frills meal. Excellent seafood chowder, wings(Sweet Red Chili Sauce is our favorite) and the Jalapeño & Jack Burger is to die for! Service is always top notch.

Great service and food. Lots of good selections and variety. I had the spinach, mushroom salad and it was gigantic and tasty. My wife’s chicken sandwich was great she says. Certainly would come back.

The Yardarm is my favorite«local flavor» pub when in Orleans and the immediate area. It is a comfortable dive bar whose positive attributes include cleanliness(with the occasional exception of the tiny, airliner-sized men’s room), friendly service, good food, a varied menu featuring many white board specials, and good prices. I love their burgers, and they have some very tasty, interesting sandwiches. Extra points for Cape Cod Pale Ale on tap. I had disappointing, soggy calamari on my last visit(get the oil to the right temperature Cookie), but I usually leave satisfied. Here’s an insider’s tip: DONOT under any circumstances proceed beyond the«Please Wait Here» sign just inside the entrance. The manager/hostess lady goes ballistic. I learned that the hard way a few weeks ago. I walked past to say«hi» to friends who were already seated. Manager/hostess lady got all prickly, tersely asking«Can I help you sir?» But it gets better. She said to someone at the bar«Some people can’t read.» I told her that I can, in fact, read, explained why I walked past the sign, and told her it was rude to say that. We exchanged a few words… Awkward, right? Anyway, we made up; spent the rest of the time kissing each other’s butts to wash away the ill will. All is well that ends well. Net: Yardarm is a great place when you’re hankering for solid pub food and good fried seafood at low prices. Do not overreach and you will enjoy yourself. Tell manager/hostess lady that the guy who can’t read said«hello.» Please let me know what you think of this review. Thanks.
