Last minute decision to go out to dinner, and boy am I glad. Service was spectacular, The food was something we counted on, we were not disappointed.

Gave it a try since we had a gift card and it was right around the corner from our hotel. We were seated quickly in this very empty restaurant on a Thursday night. Bread immediately came out hot and fresh — yuuum. I thought the bang bang shrimp was great. Just spicy enough, great texture, large portion. I loved dipping my bread in the leftover sauce. The chicken teriyaki bowl on the other hand was less than average. Wouldn’t order it again. I would assume that other entrees are better. The service was what really stood out here. Our server, Jose, was very professional, personable, and attentive. He even recommended things for us to do since we were from out of town. We were very pleased with the quality of service we received. The food gets 3 stars but the service was so fantastic that I’ll give this Bonefish Grill 4 stars.

Great go to when in the Daytona beach area for a good meal with dependable quality. Staff is friendly, and all the entrees I’ve ordered in my 3 visits were good. A much nicer choice to a BJ’s that still has variety in the menu.

Stopped in on New Years Eve for a couple appetizers. Bang bang shrimp was awesome. And the lobster stuffed shrimp was quite a delight. The waiter was EJ and he was very friendly and prompt. The experience was 5 star.

Great good, great atmosphere and exceptional service. Came here while on vacation over Christmas week with the fam. Bang bang shrimp was on point and the fish special was amazing. The hubby got truffle mac and cheese as one of his sides which was super effing delish and my potatoes au gratin side was a refreshing presentation of a traditional comfort food item. This place totally deserves every good review they get.

Back to our standby seafood restaurant, this time had happy hour house wine cabernet and the grouper Oscar special. Delicious! It is a much heavier dish tan we would have at home… we tend to bake or grill fish, but for a once in a while treat it’s great. Came with spaghetti squash and green beans. Worth the money.

Typical chain restaurant. A little pricy. I prefer the starters as opposed to the entrees. The shrimp appetizer is really good.

It’s the 21st Century and they still do not provide wifi access to customers. I seldom go there for this reason despite it being one of the few upscale restaurants in this area. I frequent restaurants/bars that do provide wifi access. I eat out almost every night and use the opportunity to relax with 2 – 3 glasses of wine before dinner and reading newspapers on-line, both the local DB N-J and the one from my home town in Ohio. Someone let me know when they finally wake up to the business they are losing and I will try it again…

Excellent food, excellent service, great drinks. I had the ahi tuna bowl, a cucumber margarita and it was really amazing. I am an Atlanta food snob, and I was impressed. Our server was prompt and polite. Thanks for the awesome experience

For a chain Resturant this is really good. The service has always been great. Gluten free choices for one of my friends. Delicious food every time. Nice wine selection as well. If there is a big wait for a table, as happens on weekend nights, sit at the bar. Same menu and no wait. My wife and I were in a rush one time and sat at a long table at the bar. We quickly started talking to the party at the other end of the table and when they left met the new group that took there place before we left. Everyone always seams to be having a good time.

I normally do not eat at chain restaurants when I’m on vacation, but my mother in law wanted to come here for a belated Mother’s Day celebration. I was quite pleased with her decision. I had eaten at Bonefish Grill in Houston before they closed the restaurant in my area, and this restaurant far exceeded my previous experience. I will have to add, that the dining experience begins with the hostess and wait staff and the mood they set with the first impressions. This is probably why I am focused more on the service than the wonderful food we ate. Our server tonight was Ally, and we surely were lucky to be set at her table. Although she was busy at times, she did take time to explain dishes and generally accommodate our needs by using some serious multi-taking talent. She was very professional and courteous. Most importantly, she perfectly timed our meal so that we were never in a position where we had to rush through the appetizer, the soup and salad course, the entrée course or dessert and coffee. To start things off, Ally ran or first drink order immediately so that everyone could have a second drinks before the end of the happy hour.($ 3.75 house wine and well drinks. Ally also pointed out that call drinks were half off so everyone had call liquors for about a 25 cents more). We ordered the calamari and oyster Rockefeller for appetizers. The calamari was lightly fried and served with a wonderful, light sauce(maybe had miso in it). I had one of the oysters, but I did not really like the crispy bacon inside. I think the first bite threw me off because I felt the hard bacon and thought it was shell. My father in law later pointed out that it was probably bacon, so I tasted the«shell» and indeed it was bacon. I felt stupid since I had quickly warned him about shell while he was eating his first bite. It was kind of comical but nevertheless, I did not eat another one. For my entrée, I ordered the wood fired arctic char. The fish was well cooked with moist skin down.(Maybe consider crispy skin for texture next time) I have only eaten this fish one time before. The flesh looks like salmon, but it had a really clean taste with the wood smoke accent. Very delicious. My mother in law and daughter ordered the Canadian lobster tails which were properly cooked. Nobody likes rubbery lobster tails except my dog. My wife and father in law ordered the grouper special of the day which was prepared with goat cheese and sauce(maybe there is a fish dish that can be made with cheese) — It was quite impressive because they both enjoyed their meals. For the finale, two cream brulees, a gluten free chocolate brownie and the special Strawberry Shortcake with biscuits were ordered. The brulees were served in deep dishes and looked more like a double portion(enough to share for two) Because of deep dish, I thought they were more creamy and quite delicious. On the other hand, the biscuits in the strawberry shortcake were a bit overdone and hard for my liking. I did like that they used fresh strawberries. Overall, this was the best service that I have had in quite a while. I have been to quite a few fine dining restaurants in my life, but the careful timing of our meal during this meal was very comparable. It was a pleasant surprise as I am used to being rushed to eat so that they can«turn the table» as in a lot of chain restaurants. Not here on this occasion.

Bang bang shrimp was pretty tasty and fresh. We had lobster tails which were to die for, probably the one thing I would come back for! Scallops and shrimp was good too. Tilapia with mango salsa was also good. The service was good and they comped the kids meals because they said it took longer than they would like. That was a welcome surprise! Overall it was quite an enjoyable restaurant.

I went with my parents for Easter Sunday Brunch. I had surf and turf benedict that was amazing and my wife had a kobe burger that was good. We all had unlimited bubbles giving us mimosas for a reasonable price. This is the first time going to brunch, but they are normally on point for dinner.

First I will say the food was good, not great, but good. Here is the bad part. We called ahead to ask for a table after hearing that wait times can be over 1 hour on Saturday nights. We explained that we were bringing our 94 year old grandmother and that we wanted to make sure we got a table with plenty of space and were hoping that we could minimize wait time by calling ahead. We were told they would provide us a booth designed to handle six which would be more than enough space for our party of 4. We arrived 15 minutes earlier than expected and the hostess advised that our table would be ready in 15 minutes. 40 minutes later we were called and advised that our table would be a «half booth, half table», explaining that this was the«best they could do». The table was horrible. It was situated directly behind the hostess stand with two of the chairs facing the wall. The chairs are directly in the path of wait staff and customers moving into the restaurant making the experience horrible. My son and I sat in these chairs and were constantly being bumped by wait staff and customers coming who were arriving and departing. At the same time, we noticed that these«large» booths that we were promised were being filled up by customers who arrived after us and in a few cases, by two person groups. To add insult to injury the restaurant was very cold. We asked the waitress to have the fan directly above our seat turned off. Apparently, this also was too much to ask because it remained on throughout our dinner making it very uncomfortable for my Grandmother who at this point had two sweaters on to compensate. Being in the restaurant business myself I am often skeptical of these posts and reluctant to post myself. However, the service and lack of attention to our requests, which were not unreasonable, was troubling and not consistent with the 4 ½ star rating. In direct contract to this, the evening before we went to the Charlie Horse restaurant right next store to Bonefish and they were extremely accommodating and dealt with our situation much more professionally. We are not from the Daytona Beach area and have visited other Bonefish locations and received great service and good food. Not here. Oh, and upon our departure as we were walking out the hostess stand was busy chatting amongst themselves and not really interested in finding out how our experience was — not really a surprise, however disappointing.

My go-to date night place with the hubby. The food is always on point and very good. I enjoy their crusted rainbow trout — it is very delicious. Also, their raspberry martini is so GOOD! Not too sweet. I always ask if the bartender can«make it strong» — and it is always made perfectly. I would have given this a 5 star but the service is hit or miss. Sometimes really good, other times really slow. Once I went and the restaurant was pretty empty and it took our waitress like 10 minutes to come by and get our drink order/say hello. I dont know if it was her fault or if the hostess did not tell her she seated us. Either way, unacceptable, especially in an almost empty restaurant. With that said, we will still go back. The food is just so good and 85% of the time the service is good. Plus the atmosphere is nice.

I’ve never liked their bang bang shrimp. Ten years later they have many bang bang variations. I thought maybe something may have changed and ordered the bang bang shrimp again. Nothing has changed. Too much breading, over-fried on over-cooked, almost-out-of-date shrimp covered in a miracle whip/commercial mayonnaise/weak chili sauce mixture that tastes just like you put a spoon in a mayonnaise jar and then put it in your mouth. HOWTHEHELLDOPEOPLEEATTHATCRAP??? Yuck Regardless of my diatribe above, the rest of the food has actually gotten better over the years. Other items I have ordered that do not illicit my gag reflex: Appetizers: Crab Cakes Wagyu Beef + Ginger Potstickers Entrees: Spicy Tuna Bowl with the sweet chili sauce and passion fruit salsa on the side Mahi-Mahi Filet Mignon Cheeseburger with Bacon and Avocado The pot stickers were not bad, but they were nothing special either. I doubt I would ever order them again. The crab cakes, on the other hand, were surprisingly good. They had very little filler and were actually made with lump crab; by no means the best I have ever had, but one of the better I have had at a chain. I have really liked the entrees that I have ordered here. They are all good in their own ways. Be careful of ordering anything with the sweet chili sauce or the passion fruit salsa as they are both ridiculously sweet and a little goes a long way. Also be mindful of getting avocado; I have ordered it several times and about fifty percent of the time it comes out tasting rather foul. As far as a chain goes, I love the fact that they are open late and I am glad that I can find several dishes that I would eat again.

Well, we came back for our anniversary and we’re not disappointed in the least! At the recommendation of our waiter, EJ, I ordered the swordfish with feta cheese and butter sauce with pumpkin ravioli. Superb. My husband ordered the lobster corn chowder and then as a main course shrimp and scallops. Delicious.

Many years have passed since I’ve been to this location, but a quick trip down to Ormond for some other business found me down on a week night, and my mom had a few gift certificates, so off we went! We pulled up and the place was PACKED!(Bang Wednesday… with some great deals on their bang bang shrimp options.) When we walked in, they told us 20 minutes… but it was probably only about 10. Our server Megan was awesome, friendly and funny. I tried the Omission Pale Ale(very good and gluten free… kinda cool) and moms ordered the pomegranate martini. I had a sip and it was delish! Very fruity, hint of sweet and tart, and not overpowering with the liquor. We started off with the ceviche. Very unique presentation… it is served in a cup made of ice! It kept the seafood nice and chilled, and the dish was limey and pretty good. I ordered one of the specials for this Ormond Beach location: Ahi Tuna Belleair: Tuna(which I ordered seared and rare) with roasted red peppers, artichokes, goat cheese and a lemon sauce. The first bite into the fish and I though, «Oh no! This is well done!» until I made another cut… it was cooked perfectly, with a nice rare center. I wasn’t a big fan of the veggie medley that came with it(not bad, just not me) but the Jasmine rice was a nice side to tone down all of the flavors on the plate. The GM stopped by the table to check on us… which is always a nice touch. You can tell they do care about the customer’s experience here. And Megan made sure we were taken care of the entire night, even though she was pretty slammed.

I began my meal with a blood orange cosmopolitan. It was soooo good, sweet and tart at the same time. It was a real treat. I’m just glad that they aren’t readily available to me. I could become a real lush if they were. I chose not to order an entrée but had the beet and goat cheese salad and an order of the bang bang shrimp instead. The salad was excellent. Good quality goat cheese and I am always a sucker for beets. The dressing was perfect for the salad. I think that I am over the bang bang shrimp though. I used to love them. Now they are just too much for me. Too rich, too fried and too many. Also this order was a bit cold and just not up to the usual standard. The son had a bowl of the corn and crab chowder. It didn’t seem like it was very hot but he enjoyed it. He also had the American Kobe burger. I did taste this and it was excellent. They lose points for service though. We had to ask for a slice lemon three times before one was delivered and for a second serving of the pesto twice.
