The last time I had been to a shakeys pizza parlor was in Stockton when they had one years ago… loved it then love it now. Omg…ate here for the fist time yesterday and we absolutely love this place… the pizza was the best better than any pizza place within 60 miles. the MOJO’s were FANTASTIC sooooo good. highly recommend this pizza and MOJO’s to everyone… we cannot wait to go back

Drive from Sacramento just to eat here. My kids love the mojo potatoes and chicken. We always stop at Shakeys before heading over to the dam for a walk. Wish theyd bring Shakeys back to Sacramento!

I love the atmosphere and will do anything for their Mojo’s and Chicken. Now they have Loaded Mojo’s! Can’t wait to try them. Very popular spot for kids sport gatherings. Nice long large tables to accommodate big groups.

We just finished part of a pizza from Shakey’s. We picked it up and it was still piping hot when we got home. The crust was thin and crispy and tasted delicious. We ordered a sausage and mushroom and they certainly did not scrimp on the sausage! Actually, we would have preferred more mushroom and less sausage, but we had not indicated that when we ordered so you take what you get. What really disappointed us was the sauce. It is a little spicy and tastes like tomato paste not pizza sauce! It was bad enough that we threw the rest of the pizza away and will not be ordering from Shakey’s again. If you are fussy about your pizza sauce — and we are! — do not count of Shakey’s for a good pizza.

To welcome 2016 my family and I drove 3 hrs(Oroville Shakeys Pizza) on New Years Day for Shakeys Pizza. Do your self a favor go to another pizza parlor… better yet The 6HR drive to Southern Cali for some authentic Shakeys Pizza is worth the drive. Shakeys Pizza parlor located in Oroville is disgusting, a disservice to the franchise name overall a great disappointment. They cut corners with the ingredients being used. They no longer use the dime size ground beef instead they use ground beef flakes. Ugh what a disappointment. Overall horrible pizza and establishment could use some bleach especially the restroom.

I have only been once. I was not impressed with the pizza I had at all! Had a funny taste and seemed cheap. Maybe that’s why I’ve only been there once.

Cashier guy looks like he needs training on how to greet his customers, but gal and guy who brought our food to us was friendly. 3 stars for the good pizza and mojos.

Pizza, mojos, salad bar, it’s all great. By far the best pizza parlor we have around here. It’s also an okay place go have a birthday party. Very kid friendly with video games, even pac man. You should definitely stop here if you’re visiting the area.

My first visit to Shakey’s Pizza Parlor was awesome! I love pizza and since I was in the area, wanted to try something new/different for lunch. Thanks to Unilocal, that is how I found the place even though I have driven by it several times before on Olive Hwy. It is right next door to Mike’s Grande Burgers. Upon arrival this afternoon, there were two tables occupied, not too busy… the place is open/spacious, they have plenty of seating, booths or tables/chairs. Nice menu on the wall with prices, very easy to read and understand. We decided on a family meal, which comes in 3 different sizes, Medium $ 23, Large $ 35, or Party size $ 51. Seemed like a great deal to get a Medium one topping pizza, 4 pieces of chicken, and Mojo potatoes. Total came out to exactly $ 25.00 with tax. They have a Salad bar, fountain soda machine and a counter of condiments(Mayo, mustard, Parmesan packets, Red pepper flakes packets, taco sauce), Ranch self serve container, Ketchup self serve container, silverware, black dipping cups with clear lids, and straws. I am sure they have Beers on tap too, but we didn’t order any alcohol. They have a big flat screen TV, a few arcade games, kids vending machines, and a table top Pac Man game! I thought the Pac Man was very cool :) When food was ready, they just call out your number, which is on receipt, and you go pick it up! We had two silver trays of pizza and piping hot fresh chicken and potatoes! Smelled really good too… I started with the chicken and potatoes, I loved the chicken, had a nice peppery flavor. The potatoes were great too, thin cut slices, fried, but when you bite into them it was like an airy pocket of mashed potato. I wonder how do they make those delicious potatoes? The Ranch, ketchup, Tabasco, even the taco sauce packets, all came in handy for dipping! The Medium Pepperoni pizza was cut into 10 slices, the cheese was excellent, sauce was excellent, crust is very thin. I loved it, definitely would order this again and return to try other pizzas on their menu. The Big Island BBQ pizza is calling my name lol… The music they play was very enjoyable, I heard songs I haven’t heard in many years!!! On the back of their take out menu, I grabbed a couple to bring home, it says«People came from all over to enjoy the original thin crust pizza, ice cold beer, and ragtime music». Another thing we noticed, is the first Shakey’s opened up in Sacramento, CA in 1954 and in Oroville, CA1975. That’s over 40 years old folks! I love reading history tid bits ;) Customer service was great all around, while ordering, when we picked up our food, and when I went back to get a To Go box! I only saw 3 employees but they were all very nice and friendly towards me. I told them it was my first time there! The wait time was not long at all, maybe half an hour. A group of 4 came in after us, and I saw several people coming in/out for pick up orders while we were eating. I am not sure if they do delivery and I bet the weekends or Football nights get crazy busy. Can’t wait to go back again …

Went on a busy Friday. Hoping to grab something quick and go after grocery shopping. We had a small order and figure to be waiting a bit. They had two system of numbers to call for the orders so we waited, and waited… and waited… Our numbers never came, figure it’s busy, so cut the crew some slack right? ok… after awkwardly waiting for an hour I thought I heard my number. There was a group of family who ordered in front of us, ate and left, while we were waiting on our order. FINALLY! went to verify the number, and it wasn’t it. Found out our order to go was sitting in the warmer all this time. Handed me the pizza«Oh he forgot to call your number.» This place has always been average with really tuff crust. Maybe I was already upset, cause the pizza tasted like complete shit.

Came here yesterday and it brought me back to my childhood! There used to be a Shakey’s in Orange County where I grew up. Haven’t seen a Shakey’s pizza in years, and I was pleasantly surprised to find one in Oroville. The food is still as good as I remember it! Love the crust on their pizza and their mojo potatoes are a must have! We had the Shakey’s special, which is their version of a combination pizza and the Firehouse pizza. Service is a little on the slow side but their workers are on point! I also love how they have ranch dispensers. Cannot wait to come back to try their Chicken Alfredo pizza and to pig out on more mojo’s!!!

This is one of my favorite pizzas, fried chicken, and mojo potatoes anywhere. Sadly… this is the only one in Northern California. We have driven out of our way to get a fix.

I love Shakey’s! It’s my favorite pizza in town! The firehouse is soooo good. I always pick up though because it is usually crowded in there. The only thing to complain about is the wait time. Which is usually about 50 minutes every time I order.

Apparently these are a franchise. Me being from the NE and SE, I had never heard of a Shakey’s but the Unilocal reviews said it was pretty decent. Wait Time: WTF, 45 minutes for a pizza on a Sunday at 1 pm. It was even that busy, a few birthday crowds that had already gotten their pizza by the time I got there. Plan on waiting. It was also hard to maneuver around the tables and the patrons Food: Pizza was pretty decent. I like plain pizza so we got a medium plain and the other half some Barbecue, Sausage, Pineapple, ham thing. The crust was cooked to perfection. Price was a bit steep at $ 25 for a medium pizza and two drinks. Bathroom: Someone on another review said it was dirty in the woman’s bathroom. The guys bathroom was dated but adequate. It could use a make over. Arcade Games: Area 51, Centipede, Donkey Kong, nice 80’ish games. Chicknen: $ 5 for two pieces and told me it was going to be 45 minutes at the earliest. What did they have to go kill the chicken out back or get it from the pen in Chico. WTF Salad Bar: What a mess. Needed to be monitored and keep fully stocked and clean. Overall, not a bad place to eat at. Needs a make over inside and the bathrooms.

When I found out that there was a Shakey’s in Oroville, my husband and I planned a Saturday excursion. He is from So Cal and has fond memories of the Burbank Shakey’s, which still exist. For me, sadly the Shakey’s in my hometown is long gone. So off we went to Oroville with high hopes to recall childhood taste bud memories. — Horrible table seating. At 5:23PM, the place was packed. It was hard to maneuver between the tables, there was not enough spacing between the tables and chairs. Anticipate getting really cozy with your fellow diners. –Long wait time. The wait time for our Mojos was 43 minutes and an additional 5 minutes for our pizza. The regulars mention that this is normal, it could be worse. Try to avoid going at peak times. –Womens Bathroom. I don’t recommend using it especially if you want to keep your appetite to eat your dinner and/or keep from«losing» your dinner. — Food. Pizza was delicious! The crust was thin crispy wafer like. It snapped when I bit into it. The sauce was just the right amount of tangy sweet. The Mojos were fried to the perfect consistency and dusted with the special seasoning. Check out Unilocal for coupons. They have a $ 20 for $ 25 coupon now. –Arcade games. They have Donkey Kong, Centipede, Ms. Pacman(table version). So the verdict is that I would be back. The Shakeys pizza is incomparable. It’s that delicious that I will just have to deal with the crowds, wait time, and gross bathroom.

Went there last week for the first and had a great time. The place was really clean and big. They have games and machines perfect for kids. This place is great for families and groups. We got a family deal that came with 4 piece fried chicken, an order of mojos and a 1 topping pizza. All were awesome and it was a ton of food! The pizza doesn’t look fancy but was delicious! Lots of flavor in the sauce and dough. The fried chicken was some of the best. I thought fried chicken at a pizza place would be awful but it was juicy and tender. The mojos were deep fried potato fries that tasted great. I also got a salad. The salad bar was pretty good. The lettuce was a little watered down but they had good choices. Next time I am in Oroville I will definitely go there again!

This Shakey’s is a unique entity. It is the only Shakey’s Pizza in Northern California. Not only is it the only one left in NorCal, but the employees are aware of the history, and classic Shakey’s paraphernalia is prominently displayed. Walking into this Shakey’s is stepping back in time. It is a Shakey’s museum as much as a restaurant. My first job was delivery and prep for Shakey’s Pizza in Lake Charles Louisiana. Being able to come here, sit, and eat the classic Shakey’s icons is simply priceless. For me, only the Mojo’s live up to my memories. The chicken is unique and tasty, but I honestly prefer Popeyes and KFC when it comes to chicken. The pizza is ok. I don’t think it is a case of the pizza being any worse than it was 25 years ago, but my standards having been raised by other places. None of that matters for me though. Any time I can eat here and it is less than an hour out of the way, I’m going to be here.
