Celestino’s New York Pizza

I literally live across the street from this place. I ordered pizza for my fiancée because I had to work late. I ordered at 5:55, I got a call from my fiancée at 730 when I was driving home from work that the pizza still hadn’t been delivered. I got home at 8:15 it had just been delivered and it wasn’t even hot. I live on Fay Way literally a block away from the restaurant. I called because I was upset, Manager Joe said he was running hour and a half delivery times… Then why was mine over two hours and not hot when it’s across the street. To make it right he offered to refund the delivery charge on my next order. I just moved here, but I told him to keep the five dollars because I’m never ordering from this place again!

The best!!! I want it every day! The price is so good. I wish they were closer, so I didn’t have to drive 30 minutes to them. It’s THAT good!

when compared to pizza places where i live, such as round table, big apple, and mountain mikes, celestinos is by far the best in terms of pizza and variety of other food choices. my husband had a calzone and caesar salad. the salad was plentiful, crisp, chilled and had a tasty dressing. the calzone dough was nice and yeasty tasting, not too doughy and was well filled and tasty. I had the house special salad with artichokes, it too was crisp, plentiful and had a tasty balsamic vinaigrette. the only drawback was too few artichoke hearts and not marinated hearts. i also had the hot wings. tasty, but they were breaded snd then fried– not something i expect in a bone in hotwing. again though, tasty. the pizza others were having looked thin crusted and not overwhelmed with too much topping.
service was friendly and efficient. the place was clean. now compared to shaky’s in town. in terms of pizza i like this as much as shaky’s,. if this place had a salad barbi would give 5 stars

We used to love this place, but it has really gone downhill. Went there last night and got pizza by the slice — they must have forgotten it in the oven because it was so crispy and blackened on the edges when they brought it to the table. The staff is not friendly and we could hear them making fun of someone (a paying customer) who had called to ask about where their delivery was. Very unprofessional. We used to go here every Friday night — I’m thinking we will be going somewhere else from now on. :(

Best pizza place in town… some friends from New York stopped in and said the pizza tastes like its from NYC.
All their food is good here, and you can just pick up a slice of pizza or a sausage roll if you want. The calzones are AWESOME. The hot wings and mozzarella sticks are grand. Their salad is good on most days.
If you are deciding on what kind of pizza: Oscar Spicy Luau — pepperoni, pineapple, jalapeño…and one of my go-​to slices. Combination pizza with WHITE SAUCE. Their Chicken Club (aka known as chicken garlic with white sauce) is probably the best i have ever had.

Really love this place. I get the olive special every time. It is amazing. Love thé thin crust and generous toppings. By the slice is a nice option.

Super slow. Super expensive. Okay pizza. SUPER rude staff. The pizza isn’t great. Doesn’t suck. But it can take 20 minutes for them to reheat a slice! Typical delivery time is an hour and a half! They used to have a kid, Jason, who made all the pies. They were super good then. Now they are below average.
The worst part though is the nasty attitudes from the staff. Seriously, it’s just not worth the effort.

Really good pizza at a really good price, served by kids with bad attitudes… I still go there. The pizza is too good!!!

Pizza is good place is clean but the customer service is lousy. Whoever is teaching these kids to conduct business in this manner should be ashamed of themselves.

This place sucks! Didn’t know it was possible, but my (pick up) order was 30 minutes late AND cold. Called it in, was quoted 30 minutes. Walked in 30 minutes later on the dot, paid, sat down, waited… waited… waited…
Exactly 1 hour after I first called in the order, I asked them how much longer it would be. The girl asked «oh was it for josh?» And grabbed my order from the counter behind her!
I asked if its been sitting up there this whole time, and she just nodded. I opened the box right then, and needless to say it was ice cold. I told her they never called it out (I was sitting 6 feet away from the front counter the whole time.) she just stared. No apology-​nothing.
. This is the second bad experience we’ve had at this location. We’ll stick with the Chico and Roseville locations that have always been great.

Its ok for the money the meats are all bland cant quite taste different meats just greasy. Think other places are better. But nail in the coffin was i ordered a xl combo for delivery they said 1 hour 20 minutes ok. So after an hour i went to the main room by the front door. Wait 2 hours wonder where the pizza is and find out they already came here and knocked called then left, they said ok we will get you another one, cool. But i get it and its just a pepperoni pizza

It’s clean, staff is friendly and accommodating. Slices and whole pizzas seem on par for prices in the area. Parking lot is a little sketchy. Round Table is still the best around but if you check your wallet before you leave you might think twice before going back there… These guys are easier on the pocket book and the quality is still there, just different recipes.

The whole family loves the pizza and the way the staff listens to our needs. The kids always have a good time at the arcade. Thin crust and good amount of sauce and cheese. We always get the cheese and pesto and it is always cooked to perfection.

I absolutely love their food, which is what makes this next part so difficult. Customer service at this location seriously sucks. Major mess ups on huge orders (twice) and manager could barely care. First time our orders tasted terrible and bland. The second time the food (that did arrive) came late and cold. Manager seemed put off to complete the order that was forgotten. Sadly, we will no longer be using them. We came to them, and they didn’t try at all to keep our business.

Yummy! Love the food and the customer service is awesome. Definitely need to try this. Had their meatball sub. Delish. In my opinion larger servings than most pizza and sub joints.

Great pizza, not too greasy, lots of fresh toppings, crust is just the right thickness, and specialty pizzas come in great combinations. I ordered a vegetarian pizza and a spinach salad for takeout. Order was ready on time (less than 30 mins). I asked for no onions on both and they got it right. Spinach salad was delicious and quite big. Staff was friendly, restaurant was nice. I was able to use a coupon from their website.

Great pizza, sandwiches, salads and pasta. Delivery drivers are friendly and dependable. We had the Eggplant Parmigiano with Rigatoni Pasta and the Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich, Specialty Salad (every time!) and Garlic Bread… AND delicious Cheesecake and Cannaloni for dessert… everything was great! We will be calling for delivery again soon!

The girl who took my order was super friendly, the crew working looked energetic and having a good time making pizzas, I could see the manager around, overall a nice vibe! I never ordered XL before, and since I didn’t have good lunch experience earlier, I thought why not, so I picked XL half Godfather’s half Combination no onions, and 12 Hot wings, with a side of jalapenos, pizza sauce. All To Go came out $ 38 and believe me, it was a lot of food for 3 people. Leftovers tomorrow!
As I was waiting, I needed to use the restroom, they were clean! I looked around, they have a lot of nice booths to sit, a few Flat screen TV’s with sports on, a little gaming/​arcade area for kids, sports memorabilia on the wall. It is a nice looking pizza place, next time I would like to dine in! They have an awesome menu, Appetizers, Salads, Calzones, Hot sandwiches, Pasta and Entrees, Pizza… Lots of choices! Prices are reasonable and the food is great taste!
My wait wasn’t very long, maybe less than half an hour, 25 minutes or so. I saw Sriracha and Tabasco hot sauces, each table had the oregano style seasonings, and chili flakes. The beers on tap were Coors Light, Sierra Nevada, Budweiser, and I forgot the last one, maybe blue moon! They sell ALL kinds of drinks!!! OMG, they also had Dos XX, Corona bottles, Wine, Pelegrino, Nesquick milks, Gatorades, Juices, the soda fountain machine, AND Jarritos!!! Now that is an awesome selection of drink choices, WOW. I would love to go back and dine in, having Jarritos or Dos XX with my Italian pizza, how cool is that :)
My To Go order got home safely, in good condition! The pizza was delicious. I had one slice, they are HUGE, and two Hot wings. Everything tasted great and my family really enjoyed it too. That was a great dinner and a great way to end my hectic busy Monday :) Thank you Celestino’s

I haven’t received my meal yet but I already know I won’t be coming back here. When I asked what salad was available with the slice combo the lady at the cashier (I think her name was penny) told us we could have whatever salad we wanted; then proceeded to add an extra $ 2.50 (onto a $ 6.25 combo) for any salad that wasn’t only basic greens.
We were confused — the pricing spread for the salads on their own was only $ 1.
We were given such a rude attitude I felt disenfranchised and jilted. There’s no reason to speak to people the way we were spoken to, let along in the service industry.
Not a pleasant experience!
