We had lunch here yesterday. It was very good as usual. It came out within a few mins after we ordered. I couldn’t believe how fast it was. It was piping hot. The service isn’t always the best but today it was good.

I recently moved up here about a year ago and really wanted to find some good places to eat. I work for a local business in Old Sacramento so I’m always down to try family owned or locally owned places myself. I stumbled upon a couple Chinese places near by and wandered on in here. Staff was very friendly and attentive, food was amazing, and prices were reasonable. I’m always taking food home because the helpings are so large. at least for me. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for some great Chinese food and good service.

Super good! The Schewan Tofu is AMAZING! The staff is nice enough. The food is great. Slightly over priced, but, for what we have in town, it’s worth it.

BESTEVER! I grew up in town and this was and so not sure if my taste fro Chinese is skewed, but I LOVEIT. You must try their War Wonton Soup – BEST and so much you could EASILY split it with two people! You honestly cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Service is great – fast food no matter how big your party. Tons of food and you WILL need a take out box!

MUSTGETWORWONTONSOUP! Good Chinese food. Super large portions and always seated with water & free tea! Special plates can feed 2 people. Affordable to dine, price ranges from $ 7-$ 15 mainly. Try it out if you haven’t.

This is the go to Chinese restaurant in town. I would recommend their chow mien and orange chicken. They get pretty busy but they still get your food out pretty fast. Definitely worth a try!

I’ve eaten their food about 4 or five times. Their lunch specials are reasonably priced and you get a lot of food. The chicken chow mein, broccoli beef, green bean beef are really good.

I bet the person who gave five stars never ate a good Chinese food. I really feel sorry for them. Aside from the food, the Latina waitress was extremely rude when I asked her to bring a little more rice. She gave me an attitude, stating that I have to pay extra and so I replied to her that its fine(dont need the rice). She went back to the kitchen and started to tell her co-worker about what I said. I don’t think I said anything wrong. The owner should teach the lady not to talk about the customers behind their back! I could hear what she was talking about. Never go back to this place.

Ok I didn’t take heed to the Unilocal reviewers and went here for dinner. Ordered mushroom egg foo yung, Mogolian Beef, and ribs. The ribs were pretty good but the rest were almost inedible for my taste. I tried really hard to eat the Egg Foo Yung but couldn’t do it! It was 2 really healthy portions of scrambled egg lumps with nothing else inside. Then loads of gravy with mushrooms floating in the gravy. The Mongolian Beef was no heat or spicy! Lots of quantity but no good taste. Just not what I expected maybe ok for others but not me!

Probably the only thing worth your buck is the Pork Chow Mein because for $ 8 it’s a huge portion. Good for families. Most of the food is greasy and doesn’t have much veggies to balance it out. We ordered 3 entrees and they didnt give us our third dish until AFTER they brought our bill! It was VERY annoying.

Very good food. I tried the mongolian beef, wings, egg rolls and shrimp fried rice and I have to say they were not disappointing. I would prefer they had more lunch combo options

Pretty Americanized Chinese food but decent for a small town. I’m also not sure the staff was entirely Chinese. Oh well, I’ll try something or someplace once. A big group of us came for lunch. They have lunch specials for less than $ 10– a lot of them for a pretty good deal. I stuck with the tong fong low special. It seemed like three quarters of the table got this. I got it with brown rice. And the special is just a combination of meats and veggies. There was plenty of both — beef, pork, chicken, broccoli, snow peas, celery, carrots, etc. It was a nice huge portion as well and I was able to take a little less than half home. Pretty good for not being super authentically Chinese food.

So far both items I picked out haven’t been very good but my boyfriend’s have been good so I would say this place is hit or miss! The Szechwan chicken tastes like none I had ever had before and not in a good way! It was not spicy but edible. I then had sweet and sour chicken with pan fried noodles. Noodles were bland and pretty sure they were not pan fried! The orange chicken, I mean sweet and sour, also tasted weird but was better than the Szechwan chicken. Big portions for the price but both of those sucked! That being said the beef and broccoli my boyfriend ordered was awesome over my bland noodles. His fried rice was not ver good but the egg rolls are normal and taste pretty good. This place can be very good just be careful what you order!

I have had a really mixed experience with this place. The first time I left feeling like I would never return, but after being dragged back in my mind is no longer made up. Highlights include war Wong tong soup, and broccoli beef. I didn’t recognize the Szechuan chicken when it came, but it was still tasty. I will be back again and again.

A resounding disappointment. The cream cheese won ton appetizer was the best thing we had and it truly was great. Fresh, hand made and with a tasty filling. I was sad as I watched my companion eat the last one. Things went downhill quickly from there. The potstickers, while also seemingly made in-house, were absolutely flavorless. I am also curious to know why they are served with a bowl of plain white vinegar. I think you get my drift. The lemon chicken was passable but the orange chicken resembled a child’s science experiment. The service reminded me a bit of Eastern Europe in the 1980’s– drab and utilitarian.

I Have tried many things on the menu. They give you a bunch. They get pretty busy and the food comes out at different times. We order the sweet and sour chicken but keep the sauce on the side otherwise it gets soggy. The rest of what I have tried is just ok. The servers aren’t always very friendly.

I used to come to this place all the time when I was a kid. This weekend it was my dads birthday so I came to visit him and took him to dinner at tong fong low. We all ordered food. The food came and then my fiancé found a cockroach in his chicken. We told the owners about it. They quickly took the fork with the cockroach on it and walked away as not to cause a big scene. This is by far the most disgusting place I have ever been too. This is the last time any of my family will be going here! This place needs a visit from the health department!!! I don’t even want to give this place any stars! But it makes u give at least 1.

Family style dinner! We celebrated our New year’s dinner Jan 1, 2014 at Tong’s! Great food and it was a very busy atmosphere, but we enjoyed it all :) Happy New Year’s to everyone and Best of Luck, Good Fortune this year! We ordered a variety of food for 5 people. Basically each one of us picked a dish of our choice and then we added on white rice and brown rice. The Teriyaki Chicken is something we order often, it’s very good. My first time trying the Hong Kong noodles was excellent, very tasty. I like their gravy and Egg Fu Yung too. The cool thing about Tong’s is they bring you a pot of complimentary tea, I love eating Chinese food with hot tea. Their hot mustard is super good, you can also get Sriracha or chili oil. It was such a nice filling and satisfying dinner. We left very very full and with a bag of leftovers. Anytime we want Chinese food, we usually go to Tong’s or do Take out! Customer service is good. I feel like the place is consistently busy everyday. In case you don’t know, once you get the bill with Fortune cookies, you just go pay at the counter where the register is at, near Entrance.
