The service was good and we got our food fast. Waitress was nice. Kind of expensive and my salad was horrible. A mix from a bag. The ranch was so thick I had to use my spoon to get it out of the container.

I’d like to say this is an old time diner with great food. But it really isn’t. It looks dirty, it smells dirty. The food is okay… nothing special. Get the health department in this place.

Good food! Friendly wait staff! The hostess kept trying to drop off our ticket before we got food lol no biggie but it’s seemed a kinda like restaurant fast food speed. Food was well prepared. Small town eats you’ll enjoy

Missed opportunity! Sadly I cannot comment on the food here because the staff were so incredibly irritated with the runners from the Daffodil 5K/​Challenge and the fact that some parked in what this restaurant considered «their» parking stalls. No where were there signs saying «Customer Parking Only» and with ample parking along the street in front and on the side of this place the staff decided it was a better business decision to hassle the runners then allow then to stay parked and invite them in for some incentive after a race in the hot sun. This would have been the perfect opportunity to say «hey, would you guys mind parking across the street or behind us in the gravel lot. We would love to invite you in for a free beverage with an entrée purchase or a % off of your bill when you are finished racing. Thanks». With all of the dirty looks and putting a broken up chair in the only stall left said volumes about how this staff feels about potential customers. We will never eat at this place if we are ever in Orting again.

The hobo hash is delicious. Great and friendly service. Love the small town vibe. Keep up the great work and yummy food!

Thought we’d check out this place on a football Sunday for some brunch. This is your typical American style restaurant. Lots of seniors were there and they played football on the TV. The waitress was nice, attentive and very small town sweet. Food was good and large servings to take home left overs.

Food was great and generous but only reason they got three stars. Service sucks — only got one refill of coffee even though we asked several times, they always refilled cups for people they knew. One of the few times I debated leaving no tip.

Nailbanger Here Again;Pleasantly Surprised. This little Café has Good Food and Attentive Service. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs Breakfast with Hash Browns and Hot cake, my wife got the Fried Chicken Dinner with Salad, Seasoned Fries, Corn and Garlic Toast. By the way the Chicken dinner has 3 pieces not 4 as advertised. The menu is typical of a Diner, with full Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner items. Most meals are $ 7-​$ 12.The atmosphere is dated but pleasant. The Bathrooms are dated but clean. The parking is not lighted along the side and rear of the building. Enjoy

The service was good and the food was good. We were there for a late lunch and before the dinner crowd showed up so maybe they just hadn’t got in their dinner groove yet.

Visiting Orting for the first time was so fun. The town is very historic and quaint. We thought it would be fun to eat lunch before going pumpkin shopping at a local farm. We chose the restaurant because it had basic good reviews and looked like a great place to take our girls. It appeared clean and the food was… ok a little bland. I still would have given it a 3 or 4 star til I saw a patrons nightmare behind the scenes. I first have to say our waitress Mary was helpful and fast. However, I was sitting at my table with my family. We had just finished eating. The younger waitress was getting a salad in the kitchen. She literally made the salad with her bare hands. She grabbed the lettuce, and croutons with her bare hands and mashed them into the bowl. I was so shocked and horrified I’d just eaten a salad and to know she does this day in and day out was completely horrifying. I will never be back, id think twice before I stop here. I don’t remember ordering a sickness with my salad. Also, if this is the way she does this, it makes me think it’s completely acceptable and this is a normal occurrence at the Corner Restaurant.

The turkey croissant sandwich I had was really really good. The fries… meh. I’m not a fan of seasoned fries. Boyfriend had a Philly and thought it was a bit odd since it had ham in it. Service wasn’t too bad considering there was one waitress for 5 tables. I never felt like we were neglected. She looked a bit bored with her job though, but wasn’t rude or anything.

First time here went Friday. Got waited on fast. I had a Monte– cristo it was kind of doughy I was surprised they charged me 75 cents for cheese on my sons $ 12.00 burger staff is friendly $ 40 .00 for dinner for sandwich, fish and chips, and a cheese burger & 2 cokes probably wont be back

If the NHL runs out of hockey pucks they can come here and order the biscuits and gravy. My knife alone couldn’t cut through it and I forgot my chainsaw. The waitress was very understanding when I sent it back. This place seems to get worse every time I come back. I wouldn’t recommend it.

I found a hair tie with hair tangled in it in my eggs. I must question their cleanliness and cooking process… How does this happen…

Got the special for the day– Pot Roast. There wasn’t any roast in my carrot gravy. Can’t believe they served that dish to me. The service was great. Too bad I’m not going back. I live in Orting. Can’t support a local establishment if they let food like that leave their kitchen and call it a special. I wonder where my meat ended up at that night. It wasn’t on my plate.

The first time we ate here the food was awesome! Lately, the food has gone seriously downhill :(this used to be our favorite breakfast spot but sadly we won’t be returning! The cooks in the kitchen leave little to be desired, food is overly greasy and of poor quality! What happened to the small town pride this place used to have! Seems like Mary the waitress is the only one left doing a good job!!!

OVERRATED! Idk why the hot chocolate is so damn expensive. Why is coffee free… anyways. cook/​owner i think was hospitable. sat me down waitress came took my order and brought my food along with my check. I was like WTF! Feel like she just wanted me to eat and leave. Was it because of my brown skin? My asain eyes, bad morning because she didn’t get laid. Whatevers… hash brown was dry and so as the scrambled eggs. 1 cup water… i didn’t see her after that. Worst breakfast and service I had in a while… whatevas…NEXT!

Driving through decided to have breakfast here. Wife wife had the pumpkin pancakes. She said they were the best pancakes ever. My food was great. I had the big breakfast.

I’ve been to Around the Corner Café twice now and have loved it every time! My boyfriend lives in Orting, so I spend a lot of time there on the weekends. The hobo hash is amazing, and should definitely be split between two people unless you want breakfast leftovers for 3 days (which I’ve done, and is great too!) They aren’t kidding that it’s 5lbs — I almost broke my takeout box once. Definitely check this place out if you are in the area or are going through Orting. The views of Mt. Rainier are amazing!
