YUM! Great little bar with fantastic bar food. Cheese curds were amazing as was the burger special (bronco burger… delish 1⁄3 lb burger with cheddar cheese, crispy bacon, spicy onion petals, and tender bbq pork). Pete was super nice too!!! Was a great place to stop. Highly recommend if you’re craving some awesome bar food!!!

Pete himself & Petes the establishment are great. Cheap yummy fresh food, cheap cold fresh beers, & no bullsh! t. If you’re cool to them, they’re cool to you. Don’t expect to be pampered, & expect a line for lunch on Friday. Plenty of big tvs, darts, and WI décor. I dig this place for sure!

they have good bar food. rather large portions for apps like the mini corn dogs. it’s an open grill right at the bar so that’s fun. they have fun decorations for holidays. However
the only downfall is if your not a regular they don’t really engage with you.
it’s apparently too hard to bring the food out to you. they call at you like a dog (unless your a regular than they’ll hand out the food) and some schmuck ruined me and my girlfriends dinner and ended up almost punching said schmuck in the face. when the bar tender came to check out the situation he had the other guys back and knew each other by name. so we left. that was the second time we were there. I’d say unless you like fighting I wouldn’t bother with the place. overall not that great. it’s regular bar food.

When some friends from work wanted to stop at Pete’s for some food I was skeptical…
Thankfully I was pleasantly surprised! The wraps are really good and I was even impressed with the chicken tenders!
They have the deep fried bar foods everyone loves but the quality is much higher.
The portions sizes are awesome.
One of my favorite bars to hit up after a long day.

I have been here on weekdays as well as the evenings and the same excellent food and prices prevail. I like the unassuming attitude of the bartenders. Don’t sit at a table and expect a hovering waitstaff! Be forward and go to the bar when you think your order is ready, hey, it’s a dive and that’s fine. The crowds are not too rowdy. The huge flat screens cover the entire above bar area, nice. Great hangout, good burgers and low, low prices.

Amazing food. Drove down from Appleton to meet a friend. I had the Prime Rib sandwich. I added mushrooms and onions. This sandwich melted in my mouth. Not to mention the huge serving of cheese curds. I would definitely come back to this local small bar.

If you’re looking for the best burgers in town look no further buddy you found em. Pete’s has some of the best food in town and the prices can’t be beat. Drink specials are ridiculously cheap. The regulars are class acts and boy is that Ryan a little sex pot.

We were dropping our son off at UW Oshkosh and wanted a quick bite that wasn’t fast food. I saw the reviews on Unilocal and decided to try this place out. I’m glad I did. Great service and you can’t beat the price! We had cheese curds with a yummy dipping sauce and the $ 3.25 burgers. Everything was excellent. Food came out hot and order was correct! Drinks were super cheap which is a bonus:)

Best cheese curds ever! You get a ton of food and it’s really cheap! Cheap drinks, great service and friendly bartenders! It’s always busy, but that’s obviously a good sign! :)

Definitely one of the liveliest dive bars I have stumbled in (or out) of in a long time. We were in fairly early on a Saturday night, and it was pretty full. There was loud music (not too loud for conversations though), lots of friendly yelling, a good sized patio out back, some combination of yahtzee rolls for shots going on at the bar, and change being flung between bartenders and regulars.
The crowd covered all age ranges, definitely regulars, and not a lot of lightweight drinkers.
We had a couple drinks & appetizers and a ridiculously low tab. What’s not to like?

This is a hole in the wall straight out of Chicago right in your back yard. Surly but excellent service. Cheap and most importantly, GREAT BURGERS! Give this place a try for lunch. You won’t be disappointed. And don’t be intimidated by the exterior. The crowd inside is friendly and likely wearing chinos just like you!

One trick: We sat at a table and it seems these are not visited by wait-​staff. So we sent folks to the bar to order food and drinks which seemed to work nicely.

I don’t care who you are or what you like, come to Pete’s Garage! $ 3 burgers, and they are the best you’ve ever had! Atmosphere is relaxed and bartenders are sarcastically friendly. You’ll find yourself to be a frequent regular shortly after your first visit. Tops any bar in Oshkosh. You’re welcome.

Awesome bar. Love the staff. I’m a usually now and I can walk in and they know what I already want. Grill is amazing. Try one of everything you’ll always come back. $ 2 everything except pitchers Monday thru Thursday. $ 1 coors lights on Sundays.

Best neighborhood bar on Oregon st. If you’re hungry your Bartender will cook your order fresh in front of you. As a culinary pro I appreciate that. Drinks are ridiculously cheap… stop here don’t bother with witzke’s down the road, unless you enjoy being screwed on price and pretension.

Best burgers in Oshkosh by far! Their prime rib steak sandwich «the leather interior» is fantastic! Great place to watch a game with buddies.
