Sears Hometown Store

After a poor appliance shopping experience at Lowe’s, the boyfriend and I were prepared to work our way down Washburn in search of a store that had it together — and fortunately our next stop happened to be Sears. I’d never encountered a Sears like this, but it was a breath of fresh air. Just large goods like appliances and lawn mowers, without having to plow through an acre of clothes, tools, and other assorted garbage to get there.
Our salesman Pat was excellent. He let us browse around, but promptly answered all of our questions, even when we admitted we didn’t exactly know what our budget was or what features we could and couldn’t live without. When we narrowed our selections down, he helped us decipher the difference between models and calculated the final after tax price on everything, as well as confirming that delivery was available immediately.
We’ve had our dishwasher, stove, and hood for several weeks (all Kenmore), and I’m very happy. The dishwasher is so quiet I can’t even figure out if it’s running, the hood fan does a great job keeping grease out of the kitchen, and the boyfriend loves the 5 burner stove.
So if you need appliances, this is the place — I’d definitely buy from this Sears again.
