Need to call attention to an experience I had with an employee identified on her name tag as «Sandy K.» The morning of August 31st I purchased a gallon of solid body stain to address woodpecker damage on our cedar siding. I brought in the lid from an empty can of stain dated back to 2003. Sandy K. happened to respond to a page for the paint department — another person was paged by name, but she responded first to the department and assisted me. She noted the date on the can, asked if I was repairing or restaining and based on my answers, decided it was best to use the«old tinter» rather than the new tinting machine so that I would go away with the best stain match possible for my purpose. I was struck by the dedication she had in providing me with the best possible solution for my particular situation. Her thoughtfulness and overall attention to what I needed allowed me to repair multiple areas on our house rather than restain large sections of the house(and potentially the entire house) as she provided me with a perfect match. Her response to providing superior customer service seemed natural on her part, though, and I highly suspect I am not the only Ace shopper who has benefitted from her dedication, product knowledge and caring. She is an extraordinary example of what customer service used to be.

Great customer service and a huge selection of merchandise. The staff is super friendly and always helpful. Whether it’s showing you where to find what you are looking for out helping you solve a home improvement issue they are knowledgeable. If they don’t have what you need that can special order items.
