I ALWAYS find egg shells in my eggs when I come here for breakfast. The food is okay but way over priced. It’s just regular diner food really nothing special.

I order tilapia with spinach and cannelloni beans. It looked better than what it tasted. Service was ok. I went back and order eggs Benedict unfortunately I was not impress. The potatoes were lacking flavor. I will probably return with hopes I’ll find a dish that I like.

Tried this place out a while ago It was decent if you’re hungry and looking for anything, but nothing special Taking a couple stars off cause the price is considerably more than your typical diners, and food was just mediocre In terms of service, I’d say it was pretty good. Didn’t take long to get a table, for the food to come or the check. So I’ll give some stars for that

The Landmark Diner is a staple in the Ossining community. It is our favorite place to eat, not just for the delicious food(burgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, Florentine omelettes are our favorites… and the best chocolate cake!), but also to people-watch all the wonderful folks from our community — families young and old, high schoolers, couples — they’re all here. The staff is friendly and attentive. Scott is awesome and you can see how much he cares about all the customers. Ray is our favorite waiter who always comes over to say hello whether we are in his section or not, greeting us with a smile. Jessica is so sweet and always exudes friendliness and warmth. Everyone at The Landmark Diner makes you feel welcome and treats you like family. Can’t say that about many places these days.

Growing up and seeing diners come and go Landmark has been a staple to the Ossining Community. From the breakfast omelette to the best grilled chicken sandwiches everything is always delicious and served fast. Outside of the delicious food the place is clean, staff is friendly and they even have character nights for kids. Also, they now have an awesome app for my iPhone so I can place an order within a few seconds and pick-up on food on the way home! A+ in my book on all levels!

Is Landmark going to blow your mind? No. Is it going to feed you a solid brunch with some interesting menu options as well, not just the usual fare. Mexican Benedict was my choice, but the American Hasher(complete with plastic cheese on top!) was also a hit at the table. Overall we left full and happy. Service was fairly prompt and friendly, always a bonus.

I appreciate this place because I can get a bison burger, less fat than beef, but I am not sure about the overall quality of the food. Reading some of these reviews makes me wonder. Having said that, it is better than the diner in Tarrytown, which in my opinion, had some SERIOUS health and cleanliness issues. All of these places need to upgrade their standards. But if you are hungry, give this place a chance!

To respond to Ari T-Owner of Landmark Diner: I ordered an omelet which your menu states«Omelettes served with Landmark’s Home Fries & Toast.» I have also ordered a wrap and panini at other visits which your menu states«Served with French Fries For Whole Wheat Wrap add $ 1.00(wraps) and«All Panini’s served on Ciabatta Bread and with French Fries» I have quoted your online menu which your in house menu has similar statements. What I usually would do is not have the fries/potatoes and order onion rings. It is not about the $ 6.00 extra charges… I generally tip 20% or more. Why have fries on the plate if I know I will NOT eat them? I don’t want to waste food. You made the comment«but we do that to alleviate the load on the kitchen and account for the cost of ingredients.» Well, the next question is… if I don’t eat the fries and your kitchen wants«to alleviate the load» and«account for cost»…What do you do with the fries I don’t eat? I hope your kitchen does not reheat them and serve to another customer! I am a type 2 diabetic… potatoes is not a good food choice while onion rings is a choice of lesser evils. It is interesting that when I did ask for a substitution, your waiters do not refer to your menu statement for«no substitutions» or mention the additional charge for my substitution. This is just bad customer service. You conclude your response with«there may be options on the menu that suit you better(with no need for substitution»… Maybe you need to review your menu… if there are«no substitutions» how can there be «options?» My option… give up my Unilocal label as «Duke» and wait for the new diner on north highland avenue to open.

Not very clean, we saw a little grey mouse and our table was sticky. The food is mediocre at best. I would stick with breakfast foods(it’s pretty hard to mess up an omelet). The staff is rude. We live in walking distance, but haven’t been there in years.

Average food with a few standout items, very much a classic diner atmosphere. Service is good but nothing to write home about. Chicken parm wrap with no marinara is great, especially with ranch or bleu cheese

There is no reason to eat here. If you go just a few miles due north or south on Route 9, really good diner food can be had and with service with a smile. It’s one of the mysteries of the world why anyone would choose to eat here. Unfortunately, a business breakfast or lunch brings me back here on occasion. Locals still have no concept of what quality diner food should be I guess.

Service was very slow even though the diner was not super busy. The food was very good. Portion sizes were good. My entire family enjoyed their breakfast.

Stopped here with some friends to grab a late-night bite because we were hungry after a concert in Tarrytown. Our waiter seemed annoyed at our presence as well as annoyed when I asked for eggs, and not the boxed stuff for my scrambled eggs. He took our order and left. Then when it came back and one of the dishes was wrong, my friend politely told him what she had ordered. He snapped back that NO, that wasn’t what she ordered, he has it right here… and proceeds to pull out his pad. Meanwhile, the four of us heard her order correctly. Just the attitude that this guy had will keep me from ever stepping foot in this place again.

I was very excited to see the inside of this place… It’s a real diner(which is a rarity when you have lived in Boston for 6 years). The staff were reasonably pleasant and the food was pretty OK. We had eggs, pancakes, sausage(not as good as the rest of the food) and ham, all of which were pretty standard diner fare by New York standards. One of my friends had a chocolate milkshake. It was huge. He had a lot of it and his daughter had some, too, but they couldn’t finish it. I’d definitely go back and try other menu items.

Bullshit, someone removed my mouse review from a few years ago, maybe it has been fixed but a mouse ran by my foot two years in a row, who removed my review?!

Just an old time large diner. Nothing fancy but very clean and nice friendly staff. Looks like it was the hot spot back in the day. I went in for a quick breakfast and all was good including the coffee. It really was a landmark.

Great Coffee every time I come here. Always hot and tastes great. This is my favorite place to come for breakfast in the area. Always more than enough food on my plate and it’s always top quality. I love their eggs and hash browns are amazing, If your in the Ossining area don’t miss this diner.

Fire the bartender and manager yesterday? In 16 years in the business, never in my life have I ever heard employees on the clock say ‘fucking this and fucking that.’ Perhaps trying to impress their friends at the bar, but absolutely unacceptable. Just came in for a late night bite. Complete lack of regard for any of the patrons who were within ear shot. Bald waiter was awesome, and the food was great.

Tasty good, great prices. My son has milk allergies and they easily accommodated him when he had the broiled trout.
