San Juan Chalet

Great cabin room. Since they allowed our dogs to stay, we’ll be back whenever we are in Ouray. Very quiet, residential street. Only two blocks from everything. King bed is soooo comfortable and loved the little fridge for our leftovers and snacks from the grocery store. Rebecca was very nice and brought over a computer to tv cable, got us discounted tickets to the hot springs and asked if we needed anything to let her know.

We installed half our family in the entire San Juan Chalet during our wedding weekend as it’s next door to the Secret Garden B&B, which was where everything was happening. The Chalet consisted of two spacious bedrooms, each with their own private baths and entrances, and a 3-​person cabin.
The family seemed pleased with the accomodations, although the power to the microwave and TV kept cutting out on my in-​laws in the downstairs bedroom (which was weird because the other electronics worked). The upstairs room is large with a vaulted ceiling, king-​sized bed and a leather sofa, but it was warm for summer — they do provide fans. The cabin has a bedroom and bathroom, plus a small family room complete with a sofabed. It also has a small electric stove and small (not mini) refrigerator.
In our case, getting all the rooms turned out to be a good thing as it’s quite private with tall, well-​grown trees. There’s also a little yard, making it nice for everyone to just hang out. Parking is convenient in front of the garage or along the east side of the house.
The owner Ryan and her husband are a super chill young couple. We communicated with Ryan only via e-​mail beforehand, and she was extremely responsive to our questions (I don’t think we ever waited more than 18 hours to hear back from her).
The location is very convenient for walkers to access downtown. For you motorcyclists, it’s down a slight decline on a dirt road.

This is a nice little place to stay. My cutie and I were coming to Ouray Colorado for the weekend and needed a dog friendly place to stay. The room we stayed in was downstairs, it was clean, a nice size, had a mini fridge, a microwave, and a small coffee pot. The bathroom was nice, clean and functional. Plus, its easy walking to Mouse’s Coffee Shop, and all the restaurants on Main St. All in all, I would totally stay here again.
