They are brewing some tasty and interesting spirits. They are a little pricey.

Hands down the best and most flavorful gin I’ve ever had. Clean facility, beautiful location and wonderful staff. One of our favorites in the finger lakes. It if definitely worth a visit! Bought a very reasonably priced bottle of small batch, «farm to flask» gin. We will be back!

I came across this distillery totally by accident. But a great accident. Hidden in the middle of the Cayuga Wine Trail between Rochester/Syracuse and Ithaca is this spirits distillery. I was there late in the day and they were getting ready to close, but I was welcomed. Their spirits are made from their self grown organic grains, they have one of the oldest organic farms in the Northeast U.S. It’s a farm that’s been in operation for many generations. They make vodkas, gin, whiskeys and something they compared to moonshine to me. I took a small taste of coffee and ginger vodkas. Purchased a bottle of the coffee. Liked the ginger, and we love ginger, but just could not picture drinking it straight up or as a mixer. And for the price I want to be able to imagine drinking it. The coffee is great after dinner though. Perfect end. They also have regular vodka which evidently has notes of vanilla and toffee. Unaged whiskey(which may have been the«moonshine» comparison) and aged whisky round out the selection. There are caps and shirts for sale as well. They offer three tastes for $ 3. I dinged a star because of that price and for not taking it off if you buy a bottle. I did not even use a full taste and asked for a very small sample. I had two tastes, same glass used. Really? I’m the only one here. You have more shot glasses. But other than that overpricing(in my opinion) this is a great local place and we are very happy with the coffee vodka. Id buy it again. 1850

Beautiful bottles and shelving to display their spirits and a cure of their distillery too! the gin and vodkas were clean-tasting and flavorful as well as attractive. Also had some tonics and sodas like ginger ale for sale made on premises. I opted to get the ginger vodka though :) made with locally produced ginger from a farm down the road. It was sweet and spicy and really flavorful! Tasty samples of(3) ½-shots: chose ginger vodka, 4-grain(aged whiskey), and the Myer Farm Gin. Really enjoyed the various nuances and character of each! Nice and friendly staff and they were happy to wrap up a few bottles in colored tissue paper for us as we mentioned they were to be gifts. :)

Smooth, really smooth vodka and gin. Of the flavored varieties I didn’t think the pineapple stood out, neither did the ginger. You’re limited by state law to only 3 tastings which is enough to make you just tear up.

Nice tasting, and they’re making some interesting spirits here. I particularly liked the aged wheat whiskey(aged 1 year) — enough to buy a bottle. I look forward to future years when some of their aged whiskeys are several years old. It’s also a shame they don’t have a way to malt barley; even though they’ve only been open a couple years it’s clear the distiller has some skill. The only downside was that they didn’t offer to discount the purchase the amount of my tasting. That seems a standard courtesy at similar establishments.

Myer Farm Distillers actually came highly recommend as something to check out by one of the wineries we visited on our 1st day in the Figure Lakes. After taking an awesome tour of my local Distillery in Philadelphia I was intrigued to check it out. When we passed it on our way to another winery I tried to get the group to stop but the girl who’s birthday it was didn’t want to. However, the people in my car did so we decided to check it out on our way back to our rental since we had to pass it again. It was set up similar to all the wineries we visited; they did tasting for $ 3 you got to pick 3 to try. There were 3 of us in my group so we all made sure to pick 3 different ones and share so we could try more plus we didn’t want a ton we were already buzzed off the wine we had along the way. The server was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The bottles were a little pricey but it’s a craft distiller so that not unexpected. It was a nice treat to try something different in this wine driven area. It’s worth a stop for sure.

This is a ‘must stop at’ place. If all the wineries are starting to taste the same along Cayuga Lake, this will be your oasis. The staff is extremely knowledgable, the spirits are bold, unique and organic, and the building itself has clean, welcoming vibe, with the vats behind a glass wall to watch the spirits distill. They allow you to try three spirits for $ 3, which I thought was a great deal considering their prices for bottles are on the higher end(but worth it). I tried the Ginger vodka, standard gin and Cayuga Gold gin. I’m not much a vodka drinker, but boy was that some smooth vodka. The gins were even better! I ended up buying the Cayuga Gold gin since it was the most unique of the bunch but have no doubt I’ll be back to purchase more. Make sure you stop here for some friendly service, great spirits and a bottle of your new favorite vodka, gin or whiskey.

Great change up from the usual wineries. My girlfriend and I stopped by for whiskey and were definitely treated. We plan to come back next year.

My husband and I stopped here a few weeks ago, because I had started noticing some of their products in local bars and wine shops — notably the White Dog whiskey and the ginger vodka. The building itself is designed after a traditional Scottish distillery, and the copper pot still is visible from the tasting room. We arrived rather late in the day, but they were happy to serve us. New York State regulations limit you to three tastes, so I tried the vodka, the John Myer Wheat Whiskey, and the gin. I really came there to try the gin, which is distilled with a long list of herbs and spices that I now cannot recall. It is a more floral and spicy gin than most, and a very subtle scent of juniper. I’m very excited to have another local distillery in the region!
