We visited twice. The first was disappointing. The service was SLOOOOOOW. We must have waited 25 minutes for a beef taco and nachos. We went through the drive through. We went back today and ordered the same at the drive through. I timed it at 15 minutes, which is long. The food is OK. I like the chips and beans. The meat is too salty though. The cheese on the nachos is a liquid. The taco cheese is shredded. I’m not sure we wi be back.

Worse fast food experience I have ever had. They had 3 employees working at the lunch rush. One employee was taking orders and then going in the back and filling orders. I waited 17 minutes for my food and then didn’t even get what I ordered because they ran out of beef. There was only one person in line in front of me when I walked in the store. The line got very long and lots of people walked out, they were the smart ones. I did call the 800 number on the receipt and got a call from the manager the next day. Unfortunately there was no way they could make it right with me, I will never go back to that store.

Surprisingly, their Double Del Cheeseburger is mighty tasty for a guilty pleasure kinda meal! I think their regular tacos are a bit bland, but otherwise tasty — add some of their taco sauces and they spice right up. They are open 24 hours a day, which is a nonexistent pleasure in Oviedo, and after a night out, it is a cheap place for good eats. There are also plenty of coupons to be had in the newspaper and in the circulars that come in the mail, so you can really get a deal. On Tuesdays, 3 regular tacos are $ 1.00. It’s great for groups, the drive-thru is fairly efficient and quick, and everything is fresh insofar as fast food restaurants go. This ain’t gourmet, but it’s good and cheap.

First time at this mexican fast food places, the quality of the food seems better here then at taco bell but yet offers some of the same things. Service is good and the places is kept in good condition and clean. The taste of the food is not bad but I think you get your money worth at Taco Bell. I had a burrito combo with fries and everything taste great but the burrito could of used more beansvand meat and seemed to small for a $ 6.00 combo that came with good fries and drink. This is more of a Taco Bell with an upgrade but could have been a bit better if the burrito wouldd have filled me up. The girl that took our order was friendly and nice and food came out quick for them being busy. If you want a cheap meal and something that taste ok go to Taco Bell but if you want a bit of an upgrade come here, they also have a kids area for the kids to play while you eat. This business is not worth four or five stars yet.

If I am forced to eat at a fast food joint, Del Taco is one of my 2 choices. I’ve eaten here numerous times and never had any issues. I really like the bean burrito with green sauce. It’s fast, cheap, and friendly.

When I worked in Oviedo, I would hit this spot often. Today, I was EXTREMELY disappointed! Tables were filthy, the floor was greasy & the sauce bar looked like a mother allowed her child to go ballistic! At least the fries were good… The tacos??? I’d rather go to Gringos Locos!!!

I wanted to try this taco chain. It feels very west coast and I’m a sucker for anything Cali or NYC related. I tried the crispy fish taco with cabbage, lime wedge, and corn tortilla. Deep fried breaded jalapeños rings as a side are pretty cool, they burn too! The fish tacos were good, a little bland, so I stuffed some fried jalapeño in and that fixed them. Also tried a traditional hard shell beef taco with hot sauce. I would say the food is better than Taco Bell and tasted really fresh. This place is okay, good for late night snacks or when only a taco, some fries and a milkshake will do.

My first experience at Del Taco was years ago in Las Vegas and it was amazing! I started to make Del Taco a definite late night stop anytime I went out west. It’s similar to Taco Bell, but fresher tasting ingredients and just as cheap. The hot sauces are spicier in flavor too and my boyfriend would fly back from his Vegas trips with pockets full of them for me and even got stopped by airport security about it. Poor guy. That being said, my boyfriend knew I’d be over the top excited to hear that del taco was coming to Orlando, so he prefaced during the day that he had good news to share over dinner. Once he finally shared the news about the location opening up by UCF, we celebrated the way normal people celebrate real life events. We don’t have kids, so good tacos and 24 hour places are really, really exciting to us. Unfortunately, I can’t seem to have a good experience at one in Orlando and I find that so disappointing. My deluxe bean tacos and veggie works burritos are always thrown together in the sloppiest manner. I have to believe that employees must have an ongoing game of cornhole, where they set up the food under the hole in the board and see if they can chuck ingredients six feet and still make a burrito. My burrito was missing the guacamole and lime rice during my last visit, but it’s always missing something. Maybe it’s a game they play on vegetarian orders because other people’s pictures look really good. If that’s the case, I can totally see Ron Swanson as the mastermind behind that game. I’m not the biggest fan of quesadillas, but I’ve learned to include the pepper jack cheese quesadilla in my orders so I have one thing in my order that’s delicious and really hard to mess up. On top of the food being a mess, it no longer tastes as fresh as I remember. The produce tastes like a mix between freezer burn and plastic and the beans are watery and bland. The tortilla wraps aren’t warmed thoroughly either. I’m having much better experiences at Taco Bell these days. And trust me, I know it’s fast food and I’ve lowered my standards, but it’s still unreasonably bad. Also, based on all the nicknames for taco bell referred to in the Unilocal reviews, am I the only person that still likes Taco Bell? And should I adopt a nickname for it too? Since this place has so many positive reviews, I really hope that I’m coming at bad times. It is open 24 hours and located close to home, so I’ll continue giving them a try. Hopefully, I’ll be pleasantly surprised one of these days…

I would give it less than zero. 7 bucks for 2 of the tiniest worst tacos ever

Hey it’s fast food tacos at an excellent price. The man that was working the drive through was all smiles and very courteous. This is an example of great customer service. I was spending $ 3, and made me feel as if I spending $ 3000. I’ll be back.

I haven’t been to Del Taco since 2006 since that was the last time I was in Southern California. I was pleased that they opened the store within walking distance of my house, just after I moved away… grrrrr. In any case, I got the Shredded Beef al Carbon tacos meal. Sure, it’s ridiculous that Del Taco puts fries with tacos but they’re good fries, similar to what you get at In-n-Out, also in SoCal. I enjoyed all of it. The one drawback: they needed to clean the dining room. 2 p.m. is not a peak time, and yet, there was stuff all over, but they had time to talk.

True it’s fast food, but it’s better than most at a better value. I love that they have fresh pico with cilantro!

Great fast food tacos. They get an extra star for having an awesome little kiddie play area. The steaks tacos are yummy and they add cilantro and avocado! Even though this is fast food it did feel healthier and less greasy than most places. I didn’t like the chicken tacos as much as it didn’t have much flavor. The different salsas are nice, but are on the mild side, even the habanero one! The french fries are awesome and if you get a little nacho cheese dip with them, they are delicioso! The restaurant is very clean, well stocked and the cashier was super helpful and friendly. Overall it was a positive experience and I would go back if in that area.

I might sound like a copycat on this one but thank God I don’t have to eat Taco Bell ever again!(I hope they go bankrupt and the executives are sentenced to live on the same farm they get their horsemeat from!) But back to Del Taco… nothing like 2 big fat chicken tacos and a churro in between service calls. I would give them 4 stars just for getting Taco Hell out of my life but I can’t bring myself to giving a fast food restaurant more than 3.

TACOSANDFRENCHFRIES. TACOSANDFRENCHFRIES INTOXICATION + TACOS + FRENCHFRIES= HEAVEN I hate chains, especially Fast Food, but was so happy when Del Taco opened by my parent’s house. I’m super bummed that they don’t have one down by me in Miami. It’s open 24⁄7 and is the perfect after bar/club food.

You know how memories can be associated with certain scents? Well, I’m convinced tastes can be associated with memory as well. My first Del Taco experience was in California when I visited my BFF who moved away when I was younger. I’m totally elated that they decided to open one not more than 20 minutes away from where I live. Yes, it’s fast food. I’m not sure why some Unilocalers are expecting top of the line cal-mex food from this place, but I digress. As far as quality is concerned, it’s leaps and bounds above Toxic Hell *ahem* I mean, Taco Bell. However, I’ve only really had the quesadillas and the fish taco so I can’t speak for the whole menu. If I weren’t against eating fast food more than once a month, I’d be eating here on the daily. If you haven’t stopped by, try it! I recommend the pepper jack quesadilla. Yummy!

I used to eat this tons when i would visit my relatives down in Sacramento CA — Im so glad they have it here now. Cheap eats like taco bell but a little more«fresher» tasting tacos imo. I wouldnt recommend the regular nachos. The diff with this and taco bell — the meat from taco bell is wayyy more seasoned and taco bell has more«mexican fast food»: varieties.

I ordered the fish taco which consisted of a fried fish fillet, crunchy cabbage, pico de gallo, and a sour cream/citrus/mayonnaise sauce, all placed on top of a corn or flour tortilla and served with a slice of lime. The fish taco was just the right portion and had a zesty savory taste. Not too bad for starters. As Del Taco’s motto says«Go Bold or Go Home.» Overall Del Taco in Oviedo is a slight step above Taco Bell and the prices are definitely not a issue. I think a little work on the service and it will do just fine here in the Orlando food scape. check out my blog for more details: D
