Find yourself in southern Minnesota and needing a place to bowl? Spare Time lanes has you covered. We wanted to try something different at Christmas time so we rented some lanes and the whole family went bowling. We had a great time. This place has all the bells and whistles you expect at your modern bowl-​a-​rama; bumper lanes for the kids, electronic scoring, you can even take your picture and put your face on the TV screens. The bar was what I expected for southern Minnesota; mostly a collection of lite macro brews mixed with a couple macro brews masquerading as craft beer. We didn’t try the food but the kitchen looked like a collection of microwaves and frozen pizza ovens; I wouldn’t expect much. My son loved the arcade, so we played a round of bowling and hit up some games. We had a fun time, we might even go back next Christmas.

Clearly understaffed. Had a reservation, still had to wait to get our lanes. Kid behind the counter had no idea what was going on. Had to ask several times to get our lanes, finally someone was able to get it figured out. We started bowling and our lane had to be reset several times, very frustrating! We cleared our own tables, twice! Very poor service, seemed to be no one in charge or no one who knew what was going, no one who cared!
