Pretty good place to eat. The food isn’t anything I’d be drooling at the mouth for, but it’s definitely good. I’d return. Just be wary of the wait times during game days and weekends. It gets cramped quick with the bigger groups all waiting to be seated and the place isn’t very big to begin with. Personally, I’d recommend the Drunken Master. The staff is very attentive, and the pricing is very affordable.

Flavourful Thai food, nice staff and quick service. Should not schedule to close on Mondays. They have one of the best soups I have ever tasted in my life.

Wife and I eat Thai about weekly, wherever we are. Never miss Rice&Spice when in Oxford during football season, and food equals or exceeds higher name places in other markets. Fresh ingredients and friendly service goes a long way in my book. R&S Noodle Level 5, my personal favorite — wife is Pad Thai fanatic and puts theirs at top. Often very busy on sports weekends, but they manage full house with courtesy and efficiency.

I asked my friend where she wanted to eat as she knows Oxford better than I do and she chose this place. The service was great as they patiently waited for me waiting on my guest while I’m seated at a table. I haven’t eaten Thai food that often so that when I say this dish made a good first impression, I’m not exaggerating. My friend and I both got the Thai fried rice and it was interesting how they told us about the spice levels on a scale of 1 to 5. I went with 3.5 and it was just perfect. Solid dining experience for lunch.

Good food, pad Thai was well done, Penang curry was good as well, red curry with vegetables was great in taste. Service was quick as well. I would come back again

The food is fresh and tasty. It’s not one the top Thai restaurants in America. It is exactly what it tries to be: relaxed atmosphere, fresh ingredients, quick service and affordable. I can’t wait to go back.

The food is wonderful and that alone merits the 2stars. My chief complaint is the number of times I have to call to place an order coupled with often a mans voice who sounds as if he wants nothing more than for you to order and go. The sheer difficulty of getting through to place the order is insane.

This is about as far away from Thai food as you can get. The Tum Yum soup was sweet and not a trace of lemongrass. A lot of rice and filler food. Not quite sure what nationality this food is suppose to be. Armature hour

I absolutely love their take on chicken fried rice with the different levels of spiciness, it takes normal fried rice to the next level and they have great sized portions.

The main courses are pretty damn good, but the appetizers could use some work. They’ll give you as much rice as you want with your main course.

So surprised how good this place is. Tom yum soup is recommended. Along with the beef salad. Just didn’t expect Oxford to have such great thai food. 3 of my friends had been to Thailand and I live in socal so there’s literally 100 thai rest in my city. And this place satisfied all of our standards that day.

I would go back… that’s the best compliment I can make. It didn’t rock my world but it was fresh and tasty. We had fresh spring rolls, chicken satay, tom yum goon, fried rice, red curry and pad kee mow. It was all good. Service was adequate… mostly coeds with little to no experience in food service but I’ve had a lot worse. The levels of heat were spot on. We had I, 2 and 3. I don’t want to know what 4 and 5 are like. Four of us ate for $ 60 so that’s a plus. There was nothing I’m just dying to try again. However, if it’s suggested again I won’t say no.

FOOD: the panang curry is great and they can make the heat to your liking SERVICE: pretty on point, their to-go is always convenient as well. AMBIANCE: traditional thai pictures make it nice and original This is cute and wonderful place. There number never seems to be working, only every now and than. So for to-go orders, they’ve unfortunately lost my business many times simply because their phone was not working.

Yummy and spicy green curry! The only reason I couldn’t give it 5 stars was that the portion was kind of small and like someone else said, they aren’t generous with the eggplant. I got a level 1 of spiciness and definitely wouldn’t go any higher.(The waiter warned that the green curry is the spiciest.) my husband got the Koua gai noodles. He loved them and at the whole plate. His portion was much larger than mine. We’ll definitely be back to try more dishes!

Our dinners were all variations of fried rice. Be careful with their«heat scale». I ordered 1 being on the lower end and my dish was spicy. The portions are large but mainly contain a lot of rice. The food was good but the options seam a lot of variations of the same.

Great place to eat! Amazing food! However, some of the wait staff leave something to be desired. Highly recommend the panang curry and mango sticky rice. Come for the food not the staff.(well not all of the staff some are good)

I had the pleasure of eating at Rice & Spice last Friday. I’d never had authentic Thai before but always wanted to try it esp. bc of the prominent use of Thai chiles, and bc the Pad Thai-in-a-box(Wal-Mart) definitely left much to be desired. And being a culinary school grad and a foodie, I’m always wanting to try new cuisine, especially if it’s Asian. The décor is laid-back but cute, but the food is definitely no child’s play! It’s was lunchtime so all was being offered was the lunch menu. Being a Thai noob I decided to look everything over, and order whatever jumped out at me. So I started off with the Cabbage Apple Salad w/the Spicy House Dressing. Might I say it was Spicy Awesomeness In A Bowl!!! Shredded cabbage, carrot, diced red apples, and a not-overly sweet chili vinaigrette. For my main entrée, I ordered the Green Curry w/a level 4 Hot(they offer 0 – 5). It is made with green curry, coconut milk, eggplant, bell peppers, kaffir lime leaves, basil leaves, and served w/steamed white rice! You can add a meat, I chose shrimp! When I say: It Burns So Good, BabyI mean It Burns Soooooooo Gooood! SB: You may wanna order some water even if you have a different drink lol. Good thing the waitresses kept my glass full lol! After looking at the dessert stand, I decided to order the Fried Banana, which were small nuggets of banana that were lightly battered and fried with what seemed like tempura batter. It was served with a honey butter dipping sauce. The saltiness of the butter(Thank goodness it was real butter) and the sweetness of the honey matched the fried bananas Perfectly! They were hot, so imagine my predicament being they were so delectable! Just melts in your mouth! All in all, O loved my first authentic Thai entrée so much, I’m going back tomorrow!

I have been wanting to eat here for the longest. Today I had a little free time so I thought«what the heck ill give it a try». I got there 15 minutes before the lunch crowd. The first thing I noticed was how small the place was. It barely seats 30 people at one time. The atmosphere and the décor was nice. After I was seated I got a sweet tea to drink and began to browse the lunch menu. The great thing about lunch here is that whatever you order, you get a free starter with your meal. As I starter I got the spring roll and for the main dish I ordered the Green Curry. The waitress informed me that they were out of eggplant and asked if it was okay if they substituted zucchini. I told her that was fine. Three minutes later out come my spring roll. In my opinion it was small. Once I picked it up I noticed that it was not greasy at all. It left no residue on the plate. They give you an exact amount of dipping sauce. It was delicious and the dipping sauce was the cherry on top. The spring roll was light, crisp, and fresh. As I was on my last bite, my Green Curry came to the table. The plating was simple and very neat. There was a pressed pile of rice right next to the bowl of Green Curry with beef. I dipped my spoon into the sauce and away my food palate went. It was yummy! Adding the rice to the mixture just made the meal more delectable and mouthwatering. After I was done I didn’t have the«itis» feeling at all. The meal didn’t have a heavy feeling at all. That is what really sold me on it. I was full yet I didn’t feel like I needed to take a nap. Overall I have to give this place 4 stars. I would have liked for the lunch portion of Green Curry to have been bigger. I wish the bowl of curry was bigger. Other lunch dishes around the restaurant were very big in size. The prices are not bad at all either. My lunch was 7.95 plus my drink 1.20. I heard that their service can get kinda bad if its busy in there(lunch hour, dinner). That was not the case when I went. Great job Rice and Spice! Keep up the good work! I will be returning for the Green Curry or to try another dish…
