I’m giving them 5 stars for the entire experience. I need to start off by telling you no fewer than 4 strangers highly recommended the Snack Bar. All four said this was the best food & bar in Oxford. After enjoying happy hour in the Blind Pig, Ben sent us to the Snack Bar and I’m very glad he did. We took seats at the bar and I pretty much put myself in the bartenders cable hands. I can’t recall the ingredients in the three cocktails he hand crafted for me but they were exceptional. I think they were a twist on Manhattan, Old Fashion, and one other. This isn’t your typical bar, these folks are professional mixologists. I even saw him mist orange through a flame to give it a different flavor as it ignited. You will need to take a cab or have a designated driver to fully appreciate. For dinner, we started with the Fried Boudin Balls. They were very good and freakin steaming hot. Cut them in half and let them cool before popping into your mouth. For the main course I had the«Shrimp & Peas». I didn’t realize at the time they meant black-eyed peas. I’m not a big fan of BEP. However the shrimp were very good. They had the heads and tails on but otherwise shelled. If I lived here, I would be a regular.
