Favorite Irish restaurant. Their shepherd pie is a must! Great beer selection and the owner is personable and visits every table. Great place to hang out and take a friend.

Great little place! Good menu, good value and great service. Plus they know how to pull a proper Guiness Stout! I’ll be back!

Me and my boyfriend went here to try something new. I had never been here, but my boyfriend had and reassured me that it was really good. We walk in and we’re greeted by our hostess, who gave us the option of dining upstairs or in the back of the restaurant. I thought upstairs would be better since I’ve had bad experience with dining in a secluded area of the restaurant. When we went upstairs we were admired by the warm setting of the dining area and view of the downtown area(great for a romantic first date.) Our waitress was very patient as we ordered our food since I wasn’t sure of what to get. I decided on the shepherds pie and my boyfriend had the burger. Although it did take a while, I was pleasantly suprised by my shepherds pie! Still simmering from the oven! I had to wait a bit before I could eat it, but it was definitely worth the wait! Loved all the veggies and the potatoes were nice and smooth. The ground beef was good, but I kept running into tiny bone pieces, just as any ground beef could possibly have. I would definitely go back again and try the lamb shepherds pie and a possible dessert.

Been there a number of times, always very satisfied(as in OMG how good is this), for drinks /appetizers; and dinner. The music is lovely and atmosphere unique for the area. Always enjoy my evening there.

I tried Sullivan’s for the first time with a group of 9 other friends. I had the salmon dish, which was served with mashed potatoes. The salmon was a touch on the extra side of done, but still ok. We had a pretty good sampling of the menu amongst the rest of the party and everyone else was very pleased with their dishes. I also tried the seafood chowder and it was excellent. I also ordered the pretzel bites with beer sauce appetizer, as well as the Irish layered chips — both were excellent and enjoyed by all at the table. I will definitely go back again.

We were looking for something different and we found it here. Lovely atmosphere with nice traditional Irish music. The food was awesome starting with the table bread, Irish soda bread with a touch of sweetness from molasses. I had the Irish bacon and cabbage! It was outstanding and my husband had traditional fish and chips. All was delicious service was fast and the staff was friendly. We will be back again

This place was ok, I had the pot pie, not that impressed. The best thing was the Irish layered crisps, they were delicious. The potato leak soup and seafood chowder very good as well.

My wife and I ate here last night for my birthday. Let me start by saying the overall décor is very cool and shows their inspiration without being cheesy. We ordered drinks initially, with my first drinking being a Guinness at the the perfect time to get it for $ 1, which was cool and it was served at the proper temperature. The soda bread was also very tasty. We proceeded to order the pretzel and smithwicks beer cheese appetizer. It was really, really good! I ordered the bangers and mash for an entrée, while my wife ordered the lamb cottage pie. Both were cooked and seasoned to perfection!!! Not only will be be back, I will recommend this place to our friends!

Enjoy the warm atmosphere. Soda bread with butter is great! First time I had the lamb shank and it was pretty tough. It’s supposed to fall off the bone but I’ve switched up my choices since then and my food was good. The owner is very kind.

Went there for a quiet night and a few drinks and had a blast. Great food and amazing cocktails. The owner Jerry approached us in casual conversation. We talked about the food, his vision, background etc. Super cool friendly guy gave us 2 rounds of drinks on the house and we even created a cocktail and named it. If you want a fun place with great food and a friendly down to earth staff you absolutely must go there. A+

Made from scratch Irish fair, by some authentic Irish chef. Bangers and Mash, Shepard’s Pie, and Irish beers on tap from their authentic Irish bar. So cozy and inviting. Real pictures on the wall of people from Ireland from early 1900s. Their sandwiches are fantastic also. The owner is often on site to make sure your experience is great.

Went on a date night here with the hubby, and what a great time! So relaxing, laid back, and satisfying! The drinks were incredible, the free shots of PB&J flavored vodka were greatly appreciated, and the food was perfect! No servers pressuring us, no one interrupting us. A laid-back bartender, hands-on manager, and calming atmosphere. So great to see a place like this doing so well in Oxford.

I recently heard of this place and I probably pass it 5 times a week. It’s very cute inside and clean. Nice place. I was picturing more of a rougher Irish Pub like the others around town. I was pleased to see it was more quaint. Service was great and super friendly/fun. The food was delicious. My friend had bangers and mash, another had the Sullivan burger and I had the Reuben… and all were delicious. It was a quiet Monday night but I can see this place hopping with a possible wait for food on the weekends. Maybe it’s still a hidden gem? Excited there is a good place to hit for grub or a cocktail. Two thumbs up… I will definitely go back again.

The fish & chips was outstanding, and included perfectly fried and flavorful cod with perfectly cooked and seasoned chips. It was served with some of the best cole slaw I’ve ever had. I requested the curry sauce and I didn’t regret it. Get the curry sauce! The pretzel bites with beer cheese appetizer was off the hook! The pretzel pieces are warm and fresh-baked. Service was friendly, and unhurried. Our party of four sat upstairs next to the window and were very comfortable. The beer selection is great, with Bell’s Oberon on tap as well as Guinness(of course) and several other Michigan beers. I want to go back to try the Guinness cake!

Everything we had was delicious. Husband had the bangers and mash and almost licked the plate clean. I enjoyed my chicken pot pie. And my toddler ate up his chicken tenders. We also tried the beer cheese dip as our appetizer which comes with tasty baked pretzel bites. The service was great too. Friendly and attentive. And they interacted with our son and made him feel like part of the experience. I also enjoyed the location. The restaurant was cozy and intimate and we really enjoyed the entire experience.

Great food. Very nice place for brunch. We are excited to come back to try lunch and dinner. The menu is a nice combination between typical menu items with an Irish style. Food was tasty and service very good. We have struggled to find good restaurants around this area, and this is a good option.

First time here! Yummy! Kids loved their chicken tenders and French toast! My other half and I ordered the burger. I read the other reviews about their burger. People making bold statements that Sullivan’s burgers are better then Redcoat Tavern? My weigh in is: Redcoat is still number one in my book however this burger is probably my second or third choice. If you live in Oxford it would be number one choice because it’s saves trip going all way out to Royal Oak. Another thought: if Sullivan offered more options like the Redcoat Tavern it may be a serious challenger. Sullivan burger is not as thick as the Redcoat Tavern however it does have the same taste of one. The Owner and Staff are super friendly! Great place! We will be back!
